Long Lake Paradise

Best rental yet

  • 5 of 5
We rent a home for an "up north" vacation every summer. Although we've stayed in some lovely ones, this house is the best yet. The other reviewers have done a nice job capturing the essence of the house: it is spacious, clean, and well-stocked. I think the only item the house is missing is a tire swing on the huge birch tree, which very generously provided shade for my fair-skinned red heads and a "magical island" that entertained them for several hours each day. The home's location somehow achieves the nearly-impossible feat of being both secluded and close to everything. On our visit, we explored Sleeping Bear Dunes, ate lunch in Glen Arbor, took in a Beach Bums game, and spent a few delicious evenings in TC - all without feeling like we had been driving all over the place. Save yourself hours surfing all the vacation rental sites: just book this one now; actually, please wait a couple days so we can secure our week for next summer first.

The makings of a great vacation

  • 5 of 5
This home was perfect for my family as we stayed in the Traverse City area the weeks surrounding my daughters wedding. The home is located in close proximity, and is convenient to get to, all of the many splendors that Northern Michigan has to offer. The home is equipped with all the amenities you would have at home - and is even furnished with little details and items that made for a super convenient and comfortable stay. Long Lake has it all - it's very clean, can handle every water sport (we took our stand up paddle boards), and has many areas and islands to explore. The home owners were extremely friendly, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. As family and friends came and went before and after the wedding, everyone was extremely impressed. The home and setting are truly a remarkable combination; making for a very, very delightful stay. There are spaces for individuals to seek quiet time and spaces for the group to gather. The deck and patio offer wonderful variety, complete with gardens, to hang out, eat, or just sun. The large lawn made for a great open space for outdoor games. Just wonderful! Thanks, so much, for offering such a place of splendor.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5
Long Lake Paradise is a fantastic rental in a quite cove on Long Lake, and only several kilometres away from Traverse City. And just a few kilometres to Moomers Ice Cream parlour. There were no busy roads around the cottage which made it a great location for our children to play…and a quiet place to simply sit back and relax. The outdoor living area is well taken care of, and the grill was superb! The rental is clean and spacious, and has all the appliances to make you feel at home. The beds were very comfortable, and the master bedroom is huge. The rentals is a short drive away from downtown Traverse City, close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, and a quick drive to a plethora of local golf courses. The lake is clear and clean and great for swimming in. The owner was extremely friendly, and answered all questions we had for the area. We would definitely rent this piece of paradise again.

Long Lake Paradise

My family had an amazing experience at this adorable Long Lake Paradise home! The home is in mint condition - not only new & clean inside - but furnished so beautifully. We had one rainy day that we stayed inside and it was so comfortable. We loved the location on Long Lake and how close we were to the water. We had our kayaks and paddle boards and it was so convenient with the awesome dock & platform. We cooked & grilled most of our meals and were so happy with how well equipped the kitchen was. Can't say enough about the place. We're going to make it an annual vacation spot!
