Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5
My Husband and I decided to try something a little different then a hotel or B&B. This was the first time we've rented someone's vacation home and I am so glad we did. This place is our new vacation spot. The house was adorable and perfect for the two of us and our dog. The house was fully stocked with everything you could eve want or need, just bring your food and drink and your good to go. It was a very short trip, and the weather wasn't cooperating, but we made it work. I would highly recommend renting this house for your vacation. Brandt was very pleasant and accommodating. Because we arrived much later than check it time, Brandt's Mom, Kathy greeted us. She was very nice and helpful. I'm looking forward to visiting again!

This house near Suncook lake had all amenities needed to have a relaxing and comfortable vacation. Lake is a short walk. The description of the house was accurate and all was ready and clean when we arrived. The home is updated with modern appliances. Consider this place if you are looking for a lakes region vacation.

a great getaway for Memorial Weekend

  • 5 of 5
Usually everybody goes to Lake Lake Winnipesaukee around that area. But this lake where the cottage is closed by is really pretty and more like a private lake. We did fishing in the morning and caught some fishes, such as a trout.

We had BBQ in their huge backyard. And there is a fire pit which is really awesome for roasting marshmallows. Next to the fire pit is a small river where some wild animals would come to drink the water. Since the weather when we stayed there was raining and cold, we haven't seen any while animals. But we found a newt!

In the house, you can find clean towels, new shampoo, conditioner, etc., almost everything you need. They even have all the spices for your cooking! Everything is really beautiful. And we did enjoy our stay. We will definitely come back for more stays later.

beautiful, clean, updated rental

  • 5 of 5
Loved the rental! The area was quiet and peaceful. The home is clean & comfortable. Brandt & his Dad, Rich, are very friendly. Small beach area down the road from rental was perfect swimming area for our kids. Nice drive to Lake Winnepasaukee. Great hiking areas around, too. Would definitely return to this area and rent from Brandt again.

Cape By The Lake is a hidden gem...

  • 5 of 5
I have stayed twice at the Cape by the Lake and each time found our experience quite enjoyable. Our first experience staying at the home was in the fall, 2009. We have family in the area and hoped to find a place that would also allow us to bring our dog. We were pleasantly surprised with how updated the inside of the house was and just how comfortable we felt at a rental property. We just recently returned to Cape by the Lake for New Year's Eve, 2011 to enjoy the holiday with family and were not disappointed by our return visit. This time we were able to use the new woodstove that was not installed during our first visit in 2009. It's a wonderful addition to an already lovely home. The kitchen is fully equipped to make full scale meals and aside from having to make a quick trip to the store for spices, found everything else I needed. The owner is very friendly and easy to deal with. The home is absolutely spotless and the beds are VERY comfortable... We would and WILL definitely return to Cape by the Lake again..
