Guestbook comments from the owner

Hope you got my message after I arrived in Portland......didn't have time in Seattle to respond.

We ALL loved your beautiful home and it's location with the fabulous views and convenience to our younger son & his family who live on the upper section of Thorndyke. Everyone walked back and forth quite often. We sat out in your back yard a lot since the weather was perfect for that. Nice grill!

Plus the beds were super comfortable. Great situation as our older son & his wife could have the basement suite. They were impressed!

My 2 grandsons really enjoyed playing hide & seek in your house as they remembered from the last time how many good places to stay concealed!

The flowers and bushes in your neighborhood were spectacular this trip. So appreciated after our long hard winter.

Thanks again and we would love to stay there again next visit! So far our favorite vacation rental in Magnolia.

Best wishes,

We stayed at SeaEscape this past weekend. We were in Seattle for our son's wedding. The location of the house in Magnolia was perfect for the wedding and dinner after which was held at a restaurant near Elliot Bay. The house was perfect for our get-together on Sunday with our new daughter-in-law and her family.
We were so pleased with how clean the house was. Both bathrooms in the house were beautifully remodeled.
Thank you for making the wedding weekend even more special!!!!

Truly a home away from home!

  • 5 of 5
It is a challenge not to write an entire chapter describing how perfect SeaEscape was for our little family reunion of 7 adults. The location was perfectly situated near all the events and sites we visited, mostly downtown. The home was so charmingly decorated and cozy - touches of elegance but not creating that 'afraid to touch' feeling. It was immaculate, and Lynn was good to communicate a couple of items they were in the process of taking care of during our stay, just as all diligent homeowners must do from time to time. Kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed, and the 'sample' starter items were more than generous in the kitchen and baths. Lovely neighborhood and views - the eagle perched in the feature photo was there during our stay as well!

Lynn was quick to respond to a couple last minute questions about the neighborhood and local fish markets, and we did enjoy Kinnaree Thai Cuisine and and Mulleady's Irish Pub in the Magnolia neighborhood. Enjoyed the parks nearby.

Our stay was packed with adventures, and included time to relax - even grilled fresh salmon. I hope to return to Seattle again one day and this would definitely be my first choice to stay. The listing did not disappoint! So glad I found it in my search!

More than Meets the Eye!

The pictures in the listing just don't do this property justice! It is impeccably maintained, and it felt as if I had been living there for years as soon as I walked in the front door. The views from the kitchen and master bedroom are incredible and I lingered over breakfast many times just soaking in the view. I was there with a group of 4 other adults and we found the accommodations more than enough for our group. The neighborhood was great- we had pastries one morning from Finn's bakery (amazing) and it was less than 4 minutes by car to get to the grocery store to pick up some essentials for the weekend.

Lynn, the property owner, was great to work with as well. Being a first-timer in Seattle I had questions on hiking and other outdoor activities, where to go for dinner, etc. Lynn was quick to respond and gave extremely helpful information and recommendations. She even reached out to a friend of hers for additional thoughts on the best day hike to take from the house.

I'm not sure when I'll make it back to Seattle, but I know that whenever I am back, I'll know exactly where it is I want to stay!!

Wonderful stay at SeaEscape

  • 5 of 5
SeaEscape is an immaculate, well maintained home, even more charming than the photos. It is equipped with everything imaginable to prepare a family dinner or outdoor barbeque. Very comfortable furniture and beds. The location is lovely and peaceful. It's within a short two-block walk to the metro bus to take you to Seattle Center, Olympic Sculpture Park, Belltown, and Pike Place Market, with easy transfers to the bus to the Waterfront, Great Wheel, ferry terminal, Pioneer Square, etc. It even has a fireplace for those cold rainy Seattle days. The Owner and Caretaker provided contact information just in case we needed assistance, but everything worked perfectly and we did not need to call them. I would give it 10 stars if I could. We hope to return for future vacations.

A fabulous week

  • 5 of 5
We spent a week at the beginning of August in "Sea Espace". The house is located in Magnolia a beautiful residential suburb of Seattle. Clean, spacious, well equiped and decorated this house is close to the center of Magnolia where you can walk to shops and restaurants. The center of Seattle (Pike Market) is only at a10 minutes drive so it is a good depart point to discover the Seattle Area. There is a little park where we saw our first "american" eagle.
You can trust the pictures shown, i recommend "Sea Espace" and hope to come back.

City Skyline views within walking distance, Panoramic Puget Sound Views, Olympic Mountains and Eliot Bay from the property. A pair of Eagles perched high on the tree located on the bluff almost every morning, they have been there for years! You can watch them from bed or the breakfast nook, hear them call around 6am-7am, and then around 8 am they go about their day.
