Nestled on a quiet street, this custom Craftsman offers a true retreat feel, with being downtown. Five minutes to the beach & ten blocks to downtown, you can walk or bus anywhere. Spacious accommodation with luxurious bedding and a remodeled kitchen make for a pristine experience with all the comforts of home.

Additionally there is a private outdoor area for 'fresco' dining and barbecuing or just taking in the sun. The living room boasts plenty of comfortable seating as well as a 46' large screen HDTV, wireless internet, solid pine floors, and a cozy fireplace to provide a wonderful ambiance. The large living room make this the perfect place for a group of nine or a romantic retreat for a couples. Three bedrooms, one with king bed, the others with queen beds complete with luxury bedding and down comforters. Set in its own garden setting this private home has off-street parking and its own private fenced yard. Relax under the flowering trees and take in the wonderful California weather

There is additional sleeping with a queen sofa bed in the living room, and a twin chair pull out in the front sun room. There is dining for nine, and one of the areas also serves as a game room/card table.

For Our Weekly Guests: For the adventurous, two beach cruiser bicycles are provided for an arranged three hour time for you to explore town or the beaches--only minutes away! Have great fun on the many bike paths.

Wendy and Chuck are longtime residents of Santa Barbara and Big Bear California. We are happy to share our love of these communities with guests. In fact, that is what makes being vacation rental owners of six properties and managing them ourselves so rewarding. We have made many happy memories in all of our properties (we have lived in each one of them) and can share all the special features and local ideas with guests.

We love gardening, biking, walks on the beach and spending time with our own family which includes three grown children and five grandchildren and a great granddaughter on the way!

Super vacation spot. Great location!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Lilyhaven, joined by a daughter, son-in-law and toddler, plus another adult daughter and her boyfriend. Each bedroom had its own bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries. The house was spacious, spotless, and extremely well-equipped -- an important factor for us as we enjoyed cooking/grilling/eating in most evenings once our (exhausted!) grandson was in bed. We loved the sitting area in the kitchen with double doors that opened onto the little deck and back garden. What a pleasure to sit there watching the hummingbirds and butterflies -- not to mention the avocados falling from the tree!! We especially appreciated little details including very clear instructions for finding the lockbox, how to work the coffee maker, WiFi, nearby supermarkets etc. The house is super-convenient -- walking distance from town and easy on/off Rte 101. A five-star experience all round!

Quaint older home in great location Santa Barbara

We had a great stay at Lilyhaven. It is an older home in a quiet neighborhood that is centrally located in Santa Barbara. The home is very clean and in good shape and has a very nice ambience. The value for the cost of the rental when compared to other properties in Santa Barbara is exceptional. The beds were very comfortable. During our visit, it was quite warm and we had to open up the house and use fans that were provided in every room to keep the home comfortable. The back yard is very nice and the home is well-stocked with everything you need for your stay. The seating area in the living room around the TV seats 5 comfortably while the home can accommodate up to 9 people comfortably. The owners were very good to work with and provided assistance when requested. For good Mexican food, go to the Los Agaves restaurant which is nearby. Other great restaurants were Brophy Brothers at the Harbor and the Beach House at Hendry Beach for seafood and a really interesting restaurant for California/Peruvian food is at the Indigo Hotel near the wharf. All in all, we had a great stay and will choose to rent this property again in the future.

We lovingly restored this 100 year old Grand Dame of a Craftsman style Bungalow to provide for current day amenities. All the while we maintained the overall decor so it is hard to see where the old ends and new begins. 'Lilyhaven' or 'Secret Garden Hideaway' as it has come to be known is truly that, a secret garden treasure in a downtown location. It is amazing how many birds inhabit the yard and the beautiful garden givng this property an outdoor presence in addition to its spectacular indoor rooms.

Tall ceilings and large rooms there is space for everyone. Each bedroom is very private from the others and has it's own bathroom. This make family gatherings easier as everyone can retreat to their own privacy should they want some space from group events. The large living room and outdoor and indoor dining areas as well as the kitchen truly add that spacious feel. Work at the kitchen sink and take in the garden through the french doors opening on the scenic backyard. With having a direct relationship with the owner/manager you will deal with one person from your booking to any necessary details during your stay.
