Located on the 3rd floor of the Townhouse, overlooking the inner courtyard.

Owners on premises... fully serviced by an elevator lift.

Built in 1904 from Italian marble and Indiana limestone, The 5th Avenue Townhouse was erected by an old New York family as a crown jewel of the traditional Beaux Arts fashion.

Located on a tranquil New York City street and only 30 paces from Central Park, this elegant and aristocratic Townhouse was recently awarded the prestigious classification of Class 1 Landmark status.

Since 1994, the Owner's family have lived on the upper three floors of the building (floors 4, 5, 6).

The lower floors have been converted into completely separate and very private guest apartments (all with independent entrance).

They all are available for short- and medium-term let on a year-round basis.

The Owners and Maintenance Personnel live on Premises full time.

Daily maid and housekeeping service are included with every reservation (not optional - we insist on it..).

This property is listed by its Owners (a married couple with a 3 year old son) that live in on the premises in the upper floors. The Owners have lived in The Townhouse for over 24 years and have been hosting guests on a short- and mid-term basis for the past 9 years.

Housekeepers/maids live on premises and are available most of the time. Most matters get attended to in a matter of minutes.

Upper East Side Manhattan

The most wonderful and enjoyable New York stay.

My wife and two energetic boys from Brisbane, Australia were looking for an apartment that would provide a great base for our holiday in Manhattan. We were looking for an elegant and spacious property that would allow us to feel comfortable and not live on top of each other like in a hotel room. From the very beginning I was impressed with Julia and her willingness to help. The welcome was inviting and made us feel at ease. After travelling for almost two weeks prior to arrival the suitcase had accumulated some clothing in desperate need of a wash and within 24 hours our clothes were washed, folded and sitting on our bed upon our return from a day out.

The first night was spent at the baseball out in Queens and Julia arranged a town car to pick us up after the game which was great with a tired family wanting to get home.

Like all other accommodation there are some table stakes that are just crucial to a good experience. This starts with the hospitality of the host and the appearance of the apartment which both were fantastic. Then for the two kids the Wi-Fi was fast and consistent, and for me and the world cup being on and hot summer days we needed a great tv and an air conditioner to spend some down time after a long day of playing in central park. However, the most important aspect of a good holiday is a happy wife and that means shopping. The location is just terrific with a short stroll to central park and a neighbourhood of cafes, restaurants and shops. The proximity to Madison avenue is great and the boutiques went on for miles.

However, two things stand out for us on our holidays and in this case both were big ticks. The beds were large and very comfortable and the showers were hot and strong.

We went to Boston for a few days and were able to leave our suitcases in storage here which was very convenient.

All in all i highly recommend this accommodation. We stayed in both the balcony suite and the terrace suite and both were of excellent quality. We would definitely stay here again.

Midweek stay, elegant accommodation.

Very spacious and comfortable apartment in an exquisite building. Location is unparalleled in NYC. We live in the Hamptons and wanted to spend a little spring break time in the city with our 5 year old. Two nights in this lovely home made all the difference, no hotel can compare. Booking was very organized and The Owners are very forthcoming with information and fostering mutual respect. It is their home, their love of it and in sharing it is palpable. I wish to stay there again and highly recommend it.

The Zanetti's townhouse is beautiful and is absolutely perfect for overnight or extended stays. I have stayed with her twice and plan to make her my first choice for accommodations for all of our future stays in the city. I have stayed in both the Grand White Loft and the Deluxe Balcony Suite and both apartments (the entire townhouse) were spotlessly clean and well stocked for living while away from the comforts of your own home.

My favorite part??? THE BEDS! I can not explain how wonderful the beds are; and the pillows are equally luscious.

I highly recommend this property to anyone traveling into the city. Julia is a gracious host and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. I can't wait to come back!

Amazing location - great owners!!!!

Our stay at this one-of-a-kind family-owned Townhouse was enjoyable, relaxing and most of all fun! We are two professors from Canada, as well a retired school teacher and HR specialist. We shared two apartments on the same floor and my colleagues daughter, (who lives downtown) joined us for a weekend and stated " it feels like being in the country here".
The house is located on a very quiet street and though all the apartments were occupied with guests, the house in itself was amazingly quiet,… only with the sweet sound of a morning dove. We walked in Central Park almost daily. And to the MET several times, as well as to the many other world renowned museums. We stayed in the Deluxe Balcony and the Grand White Loft - both were well maintained and character abound! I stayed for 16 nights and settled into the balcony suite as my new home - oh yes...the pictures don't do the suite justice - its spacious with high ceilings.
We also viewed the Terrace Suite, which was elegant and super spacious. Julia is a generous Hotelier and her staff is very well trained and discreet. Until next time peaceful Townhouse...the only place I ever want to stay in NYC!

Perfect place to stay in NYC

We spent four nights at the Grande White Loft and couldn't have had a better time. Julia and Claudio, the owners were very personable, made us feel at home and went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were met. They were always available and gave us great suggestions for restaurants, activities and attractions in the area. The apartment was spacious and in great condition. TV, cable, appliances and WiFi worked perfect. Housekeepers did an excellent job. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from Central park and many shops. We travel often and felt this stay was better than what we have experienced in many high end hotels. My entire family loved the place and can't wait to be back. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling to NYC.

My wife and I travel frequently both in the United States as well as Europe and typically we stay at high end resorts and hotels. Our stay with Julia and Claudio was wonderful and matched all of our expectations with regard to the type of accommodations that we like. First, the neighborhood. When staying in New York, our preferred location is the Upper East Side and Julia's townhouse was perfect. It is 1/2 block from Central Park, 1/2 block from Madison Avenue, and two blocks away from the nearest subway. It is situated perfectly. From a restaurant perspective, the townhouse is surrounded by multiple establishments where every taste preference can be satisfied as well as every price range. During our stay, we were booked into the Deluxe Balcony Suite and we couldn't have been happier. The suite was large and expansive and well decorated. The convenience of having a kitchen available in the suite was invaluable for us in making coffee and having items to snack on during our stay. The actual suite matched the photos exactly (which is not always the case in many hotels, etc.) so there were no unfortunate surprises in that regard. The daily maid service was quiet, unobtrusive, and very good. Yulia, the housekeeper is wonderful! The ability to come and go on our time schedule and have a nice, roomy apartment to come home to was exactly what we were expecting and Julia fulfilled all of our wishes. I would highly recommend Julia's rentals to anyone who is coming to New York and wants to live like a New Yorker! We had a great experience and we will definitely be back!
