This beautiful home is less than 11/2 blocks to the beach and within walking distance to the Village on Tybee where charming boutiques, art galleries and Hucapoos is found. 1 1/2 blocks to Tybee Wedding & Events Chapel The home has marsh views.

This home is also in the perfect location for riding bikes to the light house, playground, library or many of Tybee's delicious restaurants.

The house is on the north end of the island at 104 Byers Street, just off the main road on to the island. The cities newest beach access ramp is a short block down the street. The house has room to park four vehicles on the ground floor under cover and two in the side yard. There is a roomy elevator to get your guests, luggage and groceries from floor to floor. There are two queen size bedrooms, one bedroom with a king sized bed and one bedroom with twin beds. The king size bedroom has a private bath with a shower. There is a washer & dryer on the second floor.

The kitchen is spacious with an eating bar, stainless appliances and granite counters that adjoins the great room. Of course, there is a flat screen TV in the great room along with a huge, round dining table that can seat 8-10..

There are two private screened porches for reading or sunning.

The house has a ping Pong table on the ground floor for those rainy days.

There is a private, bonus paneled loft that overlooks the marsh with a king hidabed for additional sleeping spaces.

This home has all of the bells and whistles and makes for the perfect summer vacation.

About the Owner

I built this house in 2006 as a residence so there is lots of closet and storage space that you don't usually find in a typical beach house. We live about a block from this house from September thru May. We have two dogs and they travel with us in the summer.

WE very much enjoyed our stay at this very clean, newer construction home. It was very spacious, had pretty much everything we needed. I would highly recommend this house to anyone travelling with a larger group, the decks are great for hanging and the bedrooms are all very spacious. The open floor plan of the kitchen and living room was a BIG bonus!

The north beach is not as good of water and sand as the beaches of the south end, but on a holiday weekend we were thankful for the more quiet areas walkable from the house. Beware the broken shells in the water, they do CUT! We wore flip flops in the water of the north beach.

Nice location; house needs some attention.

I held a writing retreat for my lab members at this home. We needed a large home where we could write papers and relax between our writing sessions (e.g., explore the marshes and walk on the beach). The home was large enough for us all -- plenty of beds and bathrooms and areas to work. It also was close to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants and coffee houses. Those are the pluses. Unfortunately, the house had several shortcoming: a) two chairs were broken (a safety issue); b) the air system on the second floor blew very foul smelling air; c) the internet wasn't working (we called the owner and he asked us to call ATT to arrange repair; they could not come out until after our stay -- this limited our ability to access online library resources and our work files that are stored in the cloud); d) the outdoor screen room was dirty when we arrived (e.g., the table had cigarette ashes all over it); e) the ad said there was a ping-pong table (there was, but it had apparently been left in the rain and was unusable--not a big deal, but another indication that the house needed some attention); f) the sofa bed was in poor shape and could not be used (fortunately one person in our party was ill and could not attend the retreat, so we were able to avoid using the sofa bed); g) the floor rugs were wet -- we mentioned this to the owner and he told us the dishwasher leaks (although we did not notice that). In sum, the house would have worked very well for us if not for the wifi and the foul air. The house would benefit from some maintenance.

Owner's Response: We had the carpets cleaned two days before your stay. we didn't have the smell the day before your stay. We have since had the carpets recleaned and deodorized. The weekend before we had a group from the Orange Cruch stay and they played havoc with the furnishings. Never again.. I am sorry about the lack of internet. AT&T came out the Monday after you left and identified the problem on their end and restored service. I am sorry that your stay was unsatisfactory.

Beautiful home

Had a wonderful girl's trip including mother, three daughters and 2 granddaughters.
The house is beautiful and it was great having so many bathrooms for so many females. The two master baths were especially nice! I have been hounding my husband for a bathroom upgrade ever since returning home :-)
So nice to have an elevator for our mother, unloading and loading the vehicle and getting groceries to the third floor kitchen. The house has beautiful hard wood floors and very spacious bedrooms. Lots of porch areas. We had a wonderful time. Ate lots of great seafood. Wish we were there now.

The house was better than the photos and description would allow. It is perfect for anyone. The elevator was really a step up from normal elevators in homes and provided relief from going up and down stairs even though the stairs were not bad. The 3rd level has a bedroom suite with bathroom, living area and kitchen and was all hardwood floors making it the perfect level for me and the 2 dachshunds. The house even had a baby gate to stop the dachshunds from going down the stairs which allowed us to keep them away from other floors. It is also just a few minutes walk from a great area of the beach. The loft on the top provided a perfect spot for my 13 year to get away from everyone. The decks were wonderful to sit on during the sunrise. The most surprising attribute of the house was the generous amount of good towels.

Needs some freshing up

Nice house with kitchen and baths updated. Just off a busy road so you had some road noises. Interior needs some tlc - furniture worn, pots and pans need replacing, TV's need updating. Nothing really bad - just a tired property so it seemed like it was expensive for what we got.

My family--adult children, spouses, and grandsons-- had a fantastic stay. The beach was within walking distance and was perfect for my grandsons who are ages 4 to 8. Most of my family are swimmers and they had the opportunity to get in the surf and swim for as long as they chose. The bedrooms and baths worked out very well for all the families. The decks on the home provided time for all of the adults to sit and talk in the evenings after the kids were asleep. The home was ready for us and provided enough supplies for us to live almost as easily as if we had been at home. Booking the house was easy--response to inquiry was fast. Mema
