Tranquil and serene

This was the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle to celebrate a birthday weekend with good friends. The lake in the morning is so tranquil and serene. The fact that our dog is welcome was a bonus. David was very accommodating and somehow even knew what my favorite cut flower was. There is a washer and drier on site and plenty of towels. They are still remodeling (I believe) but there were only minor noticeable things like older appliances. There is plenty of tableware and glassware for eating in. The location is close to town which is great for picking up any last minute items. We can't wait to book again for next year!

Amazing elegant lake house

We had an amazing time! We had a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad. It is very spacious, elegant and comfortable! You will love this place! We also hand fed deer off of the back deck. We seen otters in the lake as well. So much wildlife to observe at this peacefull and relaxing lake house!! Thanks again David for your hospitality! We loved it! We also enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen! The beds were comfy!

David, We had a wonderful time! We were impressed with all that you have done to make the house what it is -- comfortable and accommodating, for openers --- but how you arranged for those three days of gorgeous springtime weather is even more impressive. We certainly will keep Ocean Shores and you in mind when we're looking for another getaway.

House was very nice and comfortable. David, the owner, was very attentive and helpful. He truly wanted our stay to be enjoyable. For 3 couples wanting a get-a-away weekend, this was great. We will stay here again.

Amazing Place

The house was perfect even though the weather wasn’t but we did get to enjoy the first major storm of the season, David was helpful and courteous the whole and was always concerned on if we were having a good time. It is a amazing house with lots to offer a entire family.

Ocean Shores retreat

A group of us girls went to Ocean Shores for our annual girls weekend. This house accomodated all 9 of us comfortably. The house is inviting and relaxing. The deer came to greet us every morning! The hot tub was amazing after a long dayshopping and exploring! The owner was quick to respond to any questions and very accomodating. This is the third house we have rented through VRBO and the girls are already looking forward to a return visit next year! Thanks David for everything! Everyone goes to the main beaches or the jetty at Ocean Shores, but I would recommend Protection Island! Town is less than 2 miles away, which we walked every morning to get coffee... the little stand in front of Ace Hardware makes amazing drinks!

Relaxation & fun with friends

We stayed 3 nights and it was wonderful. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room. The hot tub was great! Perfect location will defiantly be back in the spring. Thanks again David!

Relaxing Weekend

My wife and I spent three very relaxing nights at the lake house for our anniversary. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. The hot tub was great, even on cold rainy nights. David definitely makes sure you are comfortable, and helped make this the best place we have stayed in Ocean Shores.

Great quiet vacation rental

We rented this house for our two families with 4 little ones. We all had a great time. The house had a great view of Duck lake and was private. It was furnished beautifully. The kids had a great time especially when all the deer came around the house. We also got a laugh from the raccoons at night. The owner, David, was very helpful and pleasant to work with, even when we had a million questions.

Stayed at this house for a week. There was 4 of us and it was perfect. The owner David was a great host answered all questions I had. House is in a great location for wildlife and very peaceful. Had a great week.

Vacation gem!

I planned a quick getaway for my elderly mother and family in Ocean Shores a place I've loved to go since childhood. The rental property was beautifully appointed but comfortable and the owners very accommodating as we arrived late unexpectedly. We hope to return next year!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ocean Shores!!!

A Lovely home on the shores of Duck lake, which was peaceful and tranquil. Loved that it was so close to downtown with all the bustle and the ocean and yet could return to the home and enjoy the serenity and quiet the house provided.

The large hot tub was a big hit as well as watching the kayak races on labor day. The home is also 5 min's. from a park with tennis, basketball, childrens play area and soccer fields. It also has a boat ramp which you can launch kayaks and paddle boards if you wish to rent.
The fire pit was fun to sit around and make s'mores. Though the vegetation can feel a little overwhelming..
David was a great host. Delivering on any issues or providing anything that would make our stay just that more special. I would definately recommend staying here for family groups or friends just getting away for a weekend.

Best vacation I've had in along time!!!

This place is amazing!!!As was the owner,David. Very easy to work with. Wonderful location. Loved being on the lakefront and close enough to the ocean too. Accomodations were terrific and fit all ten of us very comfortably including a baby and a dog!!! Gorgeous sunset right from the dock. Totally got adifferent feel of Ocean Shores this time!! Thank-you David!! Will definitely come back!!!

Awesome Weekend with Family

We so happened to be the first renters of this site and were very happy with the outcome. David was an awesome host and we had the best family weekend mini vaca in many years. Loved loved it.
