Just the right set-up for my family vacation. Cottage is perfectly equipped to cook, eat, rest and play. It was extremely clean and allergy-free. The living area has a great couch, and a TV/DVD player. Games were fun, too. Internet speed was extraordinary. The kitchen was easy to work in, and yet close enough to the living and dining areas that everyone stayed involved in the conversations.
Upstairs offered privacy and comfy beds.
The airiness of the cottage, and the lovely garden were so pleasant.
And the location was great for heading downtown, or taking off to the beach or on bike rides and jogs.
I was extremely pleased with everything about Beech Tree Cottage, and look forward to another opportunity to enjoy Sag Harbor and the Hamptons.

The cottage accommodations were superb for our group of 4.
The place is bright and cheerful and so comfortable to just relax in.
The location could not have been better for walking, strolling, bicycling.
We loved having plentiful towels.
Warm quilts were needed for the first night and were easily found in bedroom closet.
The kitchen was nicely put together and seemed to have everything needed. i wished we had planned a meal in! Only one exception - lots of tea was available (as a tea drinker, that is so unusual to find!), but my coffee drinker friends should have brought their own - we forgot to. No worries, lots of choices in town for take out!
As noted by by another reviewer, the spiral staircase is very narrow and not for large people. Getting our wheeled carry-on luggage up the steps required coordination to lift them up rather than carry them!
But we can tolerate all that and will definitely be booking again sometime.

A perfect weekend in Sag Harbor! The cottage was as described and more; very clean and well-maintained - we wanted for nothing. The owners were friendly and welcoming - a lovely visit for our family - thank you.

My husband, 4 yr old, sister and I spent 3 nights at Beech Tree Cottage in August and had a fantastic stay. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean and comfortable. The furnishings were better than you'd expect for a rental. The other amenities, eg beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, barbeque with charcoal, made us feel right at home. Great shared outdoor garden. We enjoyed walking down to the marina and into town. We would return in a minute. Thanks Emma & Steve for the great stay.

Very quaint cottage for a cozy getaway. Nicely stocked with just about everything you could need...especially for readers. Nice walk to town next to marina. Decor is new and fresh on main level and a bit more shabby chic upstairs. Not recommended for anyone who is very tall or heavy...the spiral staircase is very narrow which made bringing luggage upstairs a challenge. Dormer roof in bedrooms, so just a reminder to watch your head. Otherwise a lovely space.

Our Best Christmas/New Year Holiday...Ever!

This really was one of the best holidays my husband and I have ever spent with our three children (ages 18,16,12) There was something SO magical and cosy, about this little cottage, and its surroundings (it was also very beautiful in the snow!) From the moment we walked in,(after a long flight from U.K) and saw our very own Christmas tree with twinkly lights...it felt like 'home away from home'..and a tremendous feeling of peace and calm stayed with us for our entire vacation.

My husband and I snuggled into Beech Tree Cottage this past Valentine's Day weekend. We were so at home and loved every
minute in this wonderful, private escape. We enjoyed walks into
town, movies and great dinners. We had total privacy and appreciated that the Emma and Steve were on hand if we needed them. The
cottage was so peaceful and well equipped with everything we could
possibly want or need. We can't wait to go back and take time out
to remember what's important in life.

We have stayed at Beech Tree Cottage many times and it is truly our favorite place to be! So well kept - clean, bright, quiet and well maintained. You can feel the thoughtfulness and love that's put into it! I highly recommend this tranquil cottage. My husband, daughter and I always feel rejeuvenated and well taken care of! The location is ideal - close to town (a lovely walk - or bike ride) yet private and serene. The town of Sag Harbor is where you will want to stay if visiting the Hamptons. It's the only area left where you can have a little peace - but is in striking distance of the more trendy Hamptons and beaches - great for people watching, dining and shopping. Beech Tree Cottage is the ultimate home away from experience.

Last night at dinner, Steve commented "What a find! I don't want to leave this place!" (and we're headed for a week of theater in NYC.)
Your library chronicles quite a journey. We had great fun browsing the shelves. The local info came in handy.
Yes, we enjoyed our weekend and hope to return for a more extended stay.

Your cottage provided the perfect setting and comfort for a needed respite. Thank you. Nothing was lacking; but the beauty of the cottage were the comforting living area and the welcoming bed. We will most definitely return.

Nine hour drive, two tanks of gas, congestion on 27 - Arriving at Beech Tree Cottage - PRICELESS!
We thoroughly enjoyed spending a week in your darling cottage, visiting the local sites, and thank you for the great suggestion of Ocean Beach! It was a wonderful family reunion, as our daughter joined us from Bayside and our son flew here from London. We hope to return.

You really created a dilemma for us! On our first trip to Sag Harbor we really wanted to get out and explore the area, take in all there was to see, but alas, on stepping into your beautiful cottage we didn't want to leave! We enjoyed just sitting in the tranquil space you have created here, relaxing, refueling, resting and smiling. Thank you so very much for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

On the 12th of October from NJ we came
Rest and a good view was the plan of our game.
So we drove out to Montauk, walked on the beach,
calmness and serenity was now within reach...
The days flew by quickly... it's now time to leave,
this perfect cottage of Emma and Steve.
In this lovely location, in the crisp of the fall,
we'll pass on this lesson that's important for all...
we all need a respite, a chance to unwind,
but dear friends to share it with are not easy to find.

Beech Tree cottage was perfect for us and a welcome, intimate change to our other accommodations during our visit to the South Fork. We hope to visit the East End again in the future and will keep the Beech Tree Cottage in mind when we do.
