Our first trip to Maine, we had a wonderful week and weather was
perfect. We supported the local lobsterman by eating a lobster every day!!! Thank you for the cottage it was just right for the two of us...

It has been an amazing week here in Acadia

It has been an amazing week here in Acadia, the weather has been great, just a few days of fog or rain, but nothing to keep us away from enjoying the amazing views or trying the delicious
resturants. Cadillic Mtn. is something not to be missed.
We on our last night we took the sunset sail on the 4 masted schooner the Margaret Todd, we have never seen a more beautiful sunset.
The cottage ws beautiful and made for the perfect home while on our vacation, we hope to be back soon...

We came here for our honeymoon

Summerwood is a beautiful wonderful place to stay , we came here for our honeymoon and are already plannng on a return trip for our anniversary's...

We have been visiting the area for years

We have been visiting the are for years, but have never
had the pleasure of staying on Island until now. What a wonderful cottage to do so in! This is a perfet place for two people to enjoy all that the area has to offer. From popovers
at Jordan Pond Houe to the sunrise at Cadillac Mts., the
week my husband and i spent here will be forever in our memories.

Our third visit to Summerwood Cottage

Our third vvisit to Summerwood Cottage was as wonderful as
before! Stay very busy hiking, biking ,eating Lobster at
the Otter Creek Market , Diver Ed's dive in theatre

We had an amazing time on our honeymoon

Where to begin, we had an amazing time on our honeymoon! the
park is truly something to behold, the sights and sounds are
things we will never forget , so much to do that a return trip
is likely...take in as much as you can and and make memories
that will last a lifetime.

Thank you so much for the get away! The cottage is fantastic and Acadia
is so beautiful!
We got to see the spectacular views on Cadillac Mountain , Jordan Pond
The Lobster took my breath away, Lobster Pizza, Lobster Quiche ,
Thanks again for a great trip, after all our exploring this was the perfect
place to call "home". we cannot wait to return for more.

lovely vacation cottage

We just got back from a delightful week at Summerwood Cottage. It was everything in the description and more. The location couldn't have been more perfect - a quiet residential street, just a few steps away from the Otter Creek Market and the shuttle bus stop. One could manage fine without a car, though we did enjoy our drives along the park loop road.

The house itself was very clean, sunny, and roomy. We loved the high ceilings, old woodwork, and skylights. We had originally planned to be there as a couple, but in the end my daughter joined us and slept on the pull-out sofa. The house was plenty large enough to accommodate us all. We especially enjoyed spending time on the large covered porch. The only complaint we had was too many mosquitos, but that was pretty normal for summer. We loved cooking on the grill almost every night. Speaking of food, don't miss the lobster pizza from the market. And the Bar Harbor Brewing Company Ale.

We would definitely come back here on our next trip to Acadia. Thanks!!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

The Fall Colors are Beauthiful..Loved the area

We had a great week, the weather was wonderful. The fall colors are
beautiful. The Cottage was so cute and cozy.Attention to detail. Things that would be needed for a trip away from home . Loved the area...
We found lots of great things to do and see, this was our first trip to
coastal Maine and it was great!

We loved the Location

We had such a great week here! We loved the location and the serenity that this home had to offer. A few highlights of our trip.
1.Hiked Cadillac Mtn.via Gorge Path and then hiked down North Ridge Trail of Dorr Mtn. the views are spectacular! 2. Very easy trail around Great Head and Jordan pond and you must enjoy tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House. The
popovers are nice but the atmosphere and the views are what made the experience so spectacular.3 Must have Lobster at the Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound! Loved it so much we went back 3 times... Carriage Roads are great , the path at the
end of the street will bring you to the Park Loop Rd. 4 Don't forget Sundays
at the Farmers Market in Bar Harbor... We love it so much here!!

We definitely made use of the cozy porch

Our first trip to Maine but definitely not our last! Thoroughly
enjoyed Summerwood! The weather was perfect and we definitely made
use of the cozy porch. Loved that the lamp was left on for us...

We had an amazing week in Acadia

This was our first visit to Mt.Desert Island-with plenty of new and exciting
things to do and see..Some highlights
Acadia Park Kayak Tours, really great guide.
Sunrise top of Cadillace Mt.
Hiking Mt. Door Trail- difficult but well worth it.
Trail at the end of the street. gorgeous secluded ocean spot.
We certainly look forward to a return.

Happy wishes to all future Summerwood visitors it has been a great place to
call home!
We enjoyed the sunset/sunrise on top of Cadillace Mt. Watched the stars beside the ocean- hiked around Jordan Pond enjoyed the breathtaking view of
the Mountains from the Jordan Pond House. Bi-Plane ride at sunset was just breathtaking , well worth the $, oh and almost forgot, the Abby Albrich Rockefeller Garden is a "Must See" it was like taking a little trip to China, just beautiful... Thank you Peggy of all your help ,we look forward to many anniversary trips ..

We enjoyed the trail at the end of the street.

This is our 12th year of Maine escapes but our 1st time her at Otter Creek.
We enoyed the trail at the end of the road. We hiked the Ocean Path from Sand
Beach to Gorham Mt. it was a beautiful view from the top, one of our favorite
walks with the dog is Little Long Pond at Seal Harbor-very dog friendly. and
our trip would not be complete without afternoon tea & popovers ant the Jordan
Pond House.
Thank you - we loved the Cottage!
