Where do I start. Brett was professional during the entire process of renting the unit and everything he promised went exactly as planned. For the unit itself, the pictures do not do it justice. To start with, it is one of the few rentals that will accommodate my Expedition in the parking space with out taking off the outside mirror’s. Inside, the place is even more gorgeous then the pictures. The slate floors, granite counters and stainless appliances make this seem like a luxury house. The place is well equipped and all of our needs were filled. The grounds of the complex are kept immaculate by the grounds crew who clean every morning. The view from the master bedroom/family room/patio cannot be beat. During our stay all of the other residents we met were friendly and courteous and having just as much fun as we were. I have stayed in other rental properties on Mission Beach but this out shines them by far. I would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a vacation to San Diego.

We loved the Condo. It was very, very nice. Just as described and pictured but better! Owner was great to work with -very accommodating.. It was our first trip to San Diego and we really enjoyed ourselves. Did a lot of sightseeing, ate at wonderful restaurants and enjoyed the people watching on the boardwalk. Hope we are able to return.

Thanks again! Would highly recommend.

Where Do We Begin

Where do we begin? We have a vacation rental ourselves and the one issue we promised never to do, was to embelish on its description. We wanted our guests to be "taken aback" when they opened the door and not disappointed. It seemed that Bretts description of the Surfrider condo was almost to good to be true. But when we opened the door - we were taken aback! Everything from the spectacular ocean view, upgraded bedding, high-end appliances and 42" LCD HDTV and so much more, was just as described. Our family just had to step out of the condo and skateboarded, biked, flew kites, played volleyball, soccer and jogged our time away. It was a truly blessed time together. A must for a family vacation! Thanks Again, Brett !

Best view and location on the boardwalk!

The views from the master bedroom and living room are amazing! I loved the location as we were in the middle of the action and could easily walk to the surrounding shops and restaurants. Large patio facing the beach expanded the living space making this condo extra special. Hot tub is one of a kind on the boardwalk and the tv is connected to a projector for an alternative movie style experience! Very cool! Thanks Brett!

A Long Tradition Continues - Better than Ever

Having enjoyed the Surfrider for over 45 years with family and friends, each year keeps getting better and better. Our kids were worried our favorite family vacation spot would not be available after having been completely renovated several years ago. Thank goodness owners like Brett have welcomed visitors to the Surfrider as it is without a doubt the nicest accommodation on the boardwalk. We have been fortunate to stay in Brett's unit for the past three years and can't wait to arrive for our fourth. Brett has been a pleasure to work with and has always had the unit in excellent condition for our arrival. The amenities are second to none and the views out the front windows will leave you thinking of how beautiful Mission Beach is long after you have departed for home.

location, location, location

Just stayed there for 5 nights and it was terrific. The view (and one-way glass) was awesome. Having a high quality matress was also nice as well as the hot tub. We'll be back.

Brett, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful
condo with us. We had a great time, and found it
just the perfect spot. Our sons loved the location,
the hot tub, and the electronic system. We loved

Great View Great Location at Surfrider

Visited first week of May 2009. This was our first trip to San Deigo and enjoyed very much. This property had a great view, in a very good location and in good shape. The owner Brett was great to work with and very helpful. The condo is located about in the middle of the island with the ocean right in front of you and the bay only one block over. There is covered parking is within a few feet of your condo door. There is a large grocery store about a quarter mile down the road and a small individual store with neccessities, right across the street. Your only about 10 to 15 mins. from the airport and downtown San Deigo Bay. There is lots to see and do in all directions and within 10 mins to an hour drive. Should you wish to just stay around the condo, it's relaxing to just sit back and listen to the waves, watch the surfers and it's entertaining to just watch the people going up and down the walkway. Or, you can walk, skate, skateboard or ride a bike on the walkway the whole length of the island. Come back and grill out, watch the sun set, then sit in the hot tub. Depending on the temperature, it's neat to sit on the patio with the fireplace going. There were not a lot of units rented while we were there, so it was kind of like having our own private place.

Just want to thank Brett for a wonderful, long needed vacation. We were totally content to sit by the fire and watch the interesting characters roll by! Had two 15 year old girls that were completely entertained by cruising and posing at the beach. Never had any desire to leave except to ride bikes and fetch burritos! Beautiful condo with great amenities! Hope to visit again in the very near future! Thanks!

We stayed in this unit from Feb 18 to 22 2009 and had the time of our lives. This is the first accommodation we have stayed in where the actual place was better than the pictures.Also hats off to Robert the caretaker of the property. We can hardly wait to go back as we plan to make this our home away from home while in San Diego.

Our surfrider stay was amazing. Perfect location, layout, and amenities! Brett provided excellent customer service and made our stay that much more appealing! I have already recommended this place to friends & family! The unit is steps away from the beach. Can't beat it! Look forward to going back soon!

The Surfrider condo that Brett owns is exactly as advertised: perfect location, perfect view, first rate amenities and an
excellent vacation getaway. My wife and our 2 daughters always utilize vacation rentals for our vacations, and this is the
first time we've gone to the same property twice. That's how much we enjoyed it. You can't do better than this for a first
class vacation from a first class provider.

Our time aat the Surfrider was wonderful, the Condo had everything and more. Lots of fun things like a beautiful "big" screen TV. Lovely patio and wonderful large one way windows to watch the people strolling, skating and riding down the boardwalk.

It was a great 4 nights for all of us.
Brett was there to greet us and there when we got ready to leave, which was very much appreciated.

When we found this unit on VRBO, we were a little worried that the pictures were too good to be true. We were very pleased to find that the unit and surrounding area are just as beautiful as you described. The hot tub, boardwalk and private patio all added to the amazing view of the ocean that we enjoyed every day. And the people watching is awesome. We loved the looks on their faces as they admired "our condo". And your neighbors were wonderful as well. We have recommended your place to all our friends and hope to make a return trip. Brett, the condo was magnificent. We truly enjoyed our stay - the luxury, the weather, the VIEWS...it just doesn't get any better than the Surfrider. Our teens really enjoyed themselves too, they said it was the best trip ever and now want to move there. It proved to be the perfect vacation for us, we relaxed while they kept active learning how to surf and boogie board, they walked to the amusement park, shopped, hot tubbed, sunned etc. Hope to be back soon.
