My family recently enjoyed a week at 2013 Sailfish Place. We had a 5 star visit! My children and grandsons, as well as myself, spent hours enjoying the backyard pool and hot tub. The kitchen was so fully equipped that my son-in-law, a chef, wanted for nothing as he prepared our meals. We all walked to the beach every afternoon, and loved not having to worry about beach parking. The convenience of a nearby shopping center was invaluable. This was my second stay at this lovely home, and it will not be my last!

Quiet neighbor setting and completely relaxing

Mary, Thank you for accommodating us in your lovely home. We love the neighborhood. It's the perfect location for walking. It's close to everything. We got the rest and relaxation we need and some exercise as well. I'd recommend this property for anyone looking for the same. Thanks again for everything.

A Dream Vacation

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at your house. The beautiful pool and hot tub were used day and night and worked perfectly. We especially appreciated the completely outfitted kitchen. The beds were all so comfortable, and the living area was spacious and homey. Our group of friends have shared many vacations together, and this experience was judged our best so far! The location made everywhere we wanted to go so accessible....a matter of minutes to beaches, shopping and restaurants. It's a foregone conclusion that we will return!!

Second visit was just as nice as the first

Nice two bedroom with private yard including pool and spa. The property is clean and well maintained. Quiet street in residential neighborhood just off A1A. It was perfect for me and my wife. Four people would enjoy this property for a long weekend or week's vacation.

Home away from Home

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is beautiful, and the location is perfect. I searched VRBO extensively before deciding on this property and my entire party was very pleased with the choice. We had 5 people in our group and there was more than enough room. The pool and hot tub were both amazing and we spent our afternoons on the nearby beach. The toys and wagons/beach supplies were an added bonus and our young son was very happy, he fell in love with this house!! Weeks later, he is still asking when we are going back! Overall, the property is very clean, spacious, well cared for, in a friendly, safe neighbourhood very close to the beach. Perfect location, restaurants/shopping is also very close by and you can reach a majour shopping mall within 5-10 minutes. The owner is very pleasent, friendly and easy to work with, any questions i had were answered quickly, and a name and contact number is provided upon your stay in case you have any problems in the home. Im happy to say we didnt have a need for that at all, everything worked great, it was like a second home for us. I would highly reccommend this home to anyone looking to stay in south florida, and will certainly be returning next year.

Nos merveilleuses vacances en Floride

nous avons passé 10 jours à Lauderdale by The Sea dans cette charmante villa avec mon fils et ma mère. Tout était absolument parfait du début jusqu'à la fin et ce malgré l'ouragan Irène. Mais lors de son passage nous étions à Orlando pour deux jours. La maison était super équipée de tout. Nous avions l'impression d'être chez nous. Et la piscine a fait la joie de tous et particulièrement de mon fils Noah.
Je ne peux que recommander cette villa et je le fait d'ailleurs dans mon entourage. Elle est également très proche des magasins et supermarchés. Nous avons adoré ces vacances et comptons bien y retourner.

GREAT HOLIDAYS

I recommend this rental property, especially for families with children. We spent three weeks for our holidays in Florida : two weeks at the hotel in Sanibel and Orlando and the last week in this house in Fort Lauderdale. I think that renting a property is actually a better alternative than booking a room in a hotel. This house is well furbished, with nice decoration. All you need to live with hight comfort standards is provided. Everything is well organized from the beginning to the end of your stay. You feel actually at home, in a safe and quiet environment. For people coming from another country like me (France) I confirm you can also trust the owners to refund the initial deposit. Great !

We had a great stay here

Myself, husband, 84 year old mother-in-law, sister and brother-in-law just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks in Mary's wonderful South Florida home. The house itself is beautiful, very comfortable and is perfectly situated in a nice neighborhood between the intracoastal waterway and the fabulous beaches Fort Lauderdale is famous for. The beach is a short walk away and Mary has all the chairs, towels and toys you will need to enjoy your time playing in water and sand. There are nice restaurants, grocery, pharmacy etc. close by. There is lots to do in Fort Lauderdale - museums, parks, night life and of course shopping. Best of all is Mary's backyard pool and hot tub. We loved the backyard oasis so much we did not want to come home.

Truly a Home Away From Home

I cannot say enough about this house...from dealing with Mary to the house itself. My husband and I rented this house for 2 1/2 weeks and didn't want to leave...ever! Great neighborhood as well. The pool was amazing. The house had absolutely everything you needed and wanted and was very comfortable. We will be repeat customers as much as we can. Highly recommend.

Pompano Beach Home

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the house for the month of February. We especially liked the pool/hot tub , the gas barbecue, the screened in porch, the large comfortable living room, the proximity to the beach, and the central location close to stores and good restaurants. The neighborhood was very quiet which we also really liked.

Some of the retaurants we liked were Blue Moon Fish Company, Calypso, By Word of Mouth and Zona Fresca.

We had fun bicycling in Hugh Taylor Park, Pompano Beach Park and around the neighborhood.

It was a pleasure dealing with Mary while renting the house.

Wonderful Fla house

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at this house in Lauderdale by the Sea. Hot tub was a bonus, as we had some cool nights in January. Able to walk to nice, quiet beach, grocery store, diner, and into town (although a little easier to town by car). Town had several stores, pubs, restaurants. House is exactly as pictured, clean, well maintained and in a great, quiet neighborhood. Owner was easy to deal with and very accommodating. We will definitely rent in the future.

A great house to rent in Florida!

The pictures online does not tell how great the house really is. The discription was accurate. It is clean and wellmaintained, in a nice and quiet community. Friendly neighbourghs who said hello when passing. We had two very nice weeks there. We of course had a rental car which you need to get around in the area. It is a nice place for daytrips to Floridas westcoast and Key West among several other places. Great shopping and dining close by. If we ever are going back to Florida (we use to visit US almost every year), we would not hesetate to rent this place again! Mary has been service minded all the way!

visited Mary´s house for 10 days and can only say that our group of six people had a beautiful time. The house was in perfect order and was very well situated. Cause of my bad english this review might be a little short but if it means something to anyone out there we can just that we will be back. Thank you Mary for a wonderful time in Fort Lauderdale and we will see you in a near future.

Our vacation at Mary´s house was perfect. Great with pool in the time of year we were there (June). Six people was no problem.
Sorry to say is my english not good enough to describe how much we liked it. We´ll be back though if that can explain it better. Thank You Mary!

Great for families!

We had a wonderful time in Florida! The rental was fantastic - even better than the pictures showed on the internet ad! We will definitely look into renting from you again. It certainly made the trip easier for us to have the pack and plays and baby chair already at the house. This was a first big trip for each of us with our boys and it couldn't have gone better!

Great place - we'd stay here again

This is a tremendous location and a great house. The pool was the perfect size for our 4 year old kids, and the upper pool converts to a hot tub with the flick of a switch - makes for entertaining evenings for the adults.

Nice, clean beaches are a quick walk away. We were there in late April and they were almost empty - not nearly as full as the beaches in Lauderdale. The house has plenty of beach toys for small kids, along with a wagon and beach chairs. "Downtown" Lauderdale by the Sea is a couple of minutes by car (it's also walkable) with everything you need.

Good air conditioning for those muggy mid-day respites from the sun, a nicely outfitted kitchen and gas grill, and a HD TV / DVD setup for movie night.

The house manager Pery is tremendous and extremely prompt. The toaster broke while we were there and he dropped a new one off within hours of our calling.

The kids cried when we left. We should have stayed two weeks!

Fantastic Vacation Home

This home met and exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s clean, well maintained, and stocked with all the amenities that you could possibly need or want. The backyard, pool, and jacuzzi are wonderful and provide a very relaxing personal Shangri La. The house is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach and located in a very nice, quite, and safe neighborhood. A grocery store and restaurants are within a mile. The owner made everything very easy and efficient without any troubles. I highly recommend this home. We cannot wait to go back.
