My girlfriend and I came up for a long weekend. This house was awesome! Super clean and very down home feeling. A lot to do close by. It snowed about eight inches durning our visit, got to soak in the hot
Tub while there was snow all around. Renter was easy to communicate with, an the free breakfast was great. Overall great weekend and I would definitely stay again!

A Little Piece of Heaven at Creekside Cabin!

Review submitted: February 11, 2013   Date of arrival: January 18, 2013

My husband and I, along with our dog, Jazzy, really enjoyed our stay at Creekside Cabin! The house was perfect for our needs. The creek supplied wonderful noises to fall asleep to, if the hot tub didn't already! The cabin was in great shape, considering it is 100 years old! We had no complaints during our stay. The breakfast that Christine made us was wonderful and she was incredibly hospitable. We can't wait to go back!

Recommended for: age 55+, pet-friendly, romantic getaway

Owners response: Its so easy and fun having such FANTASTIC guests as you all! You are welcome back to one of mine anytime for more fun in the mountains! You're the best! Christine

My boyfriend and I stayed at this charming cabin over Christmas weekend. The location is fantastic! There is so much stuff to do all within 10 miles. Christine was so thoughtful and gracious. She turned on the fireplace and all the lights before we got there and wrote a little welcome note. We felt like we were stepping into our own home. The hot tub was my favorite part, it felt amazing to hop in at night when it was so chilly outside. To top it off, Christine even made us French Toast and dropped it off on our back porch Sunday morning on her way to church. I had the best time and I can't wait to come back!!

What a wonderful charming weekend get away! My boyfriend and I had a great weekend!! Was so quiet and peaceful that it allowed us what we needed to reconnect with each! We spent the afternoon curled up on the couch by the fire.

Christine you are hands down one of the most gracious hostess and awesome cook I have ever met! Can't wait for our next weekend trip!

The Olden Days of Peace and Tranquility

bjw (Palm Coast, FL)
Review submitted: October 25, 2012   Date of arrival: September 27, 2012

Christine and her husband have done a marvelous job with this cabin originally built in the early 1900's and relocated from across the street. The back porch sits right above a freely flowing stream trickling the musical notes of water in our ears. The inside leaves nothing to want, homey, even the bed headboard was made from a recycled door. The heavy duty cutting board inspired me so much, I went and bought a new one to match this one. It was home away from home and the moon rose directly across the front porch, so we had our own "moon rock"! The little details are so charming like the fishing pole that doubles as a curtain rod. Candles are there to use and movies to watch. We preferred the peace. The leaves literally changed over night and we were able to go down the road to the boat and saw the Falls while literally watching the sun set on the west and the moon rise in the east, it was magical.

Owners response: Thanks to such fantastic guests we've been so fortunate to have, it makes it well worth the effort we put forth to accommodate those wanting 'fun and memorable times' in these beautiful mountains just 1 mile from Lake Glenville here in the Smoky Mountains of Western NC. We will continue to do our utmost putting you as our number one priority!
Thank you for choosing ours! Christine and Jim

Most Relaxing Weekend Getaway Ever!!!

burnsides (Honea Path, SC)
Review submitted: October 11, 2012   Date of arrival: October 5, 2012

This was one of the most relaxing weekend getaways we have ever been on!!! The property was even better than described.Hammock in the shade, babbling creek right outside the back door, and the hot tub was wonderful on a cool mountain night under the stars. There is a big yard for kids (or kids at heart) to run around and play. Porches with rocking chairs and a huge back deck with a grill. Sits on a beautiful mountain road, with little traffic. The cabin was much more charming than newer ones we have stayed in before. It really has everything you need while being away from home. We had planned to go hiking, kayaking, and fishing (which there are plenty of spots in the area to do all three). However,we spent most of our time at the cabin because it was just so peaceful. We did check out some beautiful, easy to reach waterfalls and Jim took us on a great boat ride on beautiful Lake Glenville which was just at the end of the road ( it has a waterfall flowing into it as well). Nice, unique shopping in town - just minutes away. We also enjoyed driving the mountain roads.I can't begin to describe the wonderful customer service provided. Christine cooked us a wonderful breakfast, that you must try!!! I highly recomend Jim's boat ride as well. They are not only great hosts, but wonderful people. They really went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Not exaggerating when we say they are the best. I would recomend this cabin to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway in a georgous area of our country. Absolutey no complaints.Justin and Sarah

Beautiful Country Cottage

Carol (Sanford, NC, USA)
Review submitted: July 17, 2012   Date of arrival: July 14, 2012

My daughter and I stayed with my brother Dave and we had a wonderful time. I just thought that the country cottage was lovely and the scenery was so beautiful. I loved listening to the stream bubbling over the rocks when i woke up. The cottage was tastefully decorated in a country theme and i have to say that Christine has a natural flair for decorating. We also went out on their boat for a tour of Lake Glenville. Jim was at the helm and what a nice guy.

I recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the mountains. You'll enjoy it alot! I hope to return in the future! Best wishes for Christine and Jim.

Review submitted: July 9, 2012   Date of arrival: June 30, 2012

This cabin is adorable with everything you need and lots of character. The owners are truly special people who go out of their way to make the stay memorable and enjoyable. This includes delivery of a delicious and healthy breakfast casserole! I would stay at this cabin again. It does not require a long winding drive up a mountain and it is convenient to Cashiers. Most importantly the owners are wonderful, caring people and they have made this cabin warm and comfortable.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: With superb guests like Christine & Rodney, how can one go wrong. Respectful guests that 'work with cabin owners are much to be desired. We are so fortunate and ever so thankful for such. We warmly welcome back folks like these. Appreciation goes a looong way since 'You our #1 Priority' and we feel honored to have the opportunity to have you here at one of ours, getting to know such loving people. For this reason, we GLADLY go the extra mile.

Mountain 'home away from home'

Review submitted: August 24, 2011   Date of arrival: August 18, 2011

For several years, we have visited this cabin and have come to consider it our mountain home away from home. We first visited when we were dating... then engaged... then married. It is a very special place to us. We have enjoyed both the cabin and the Lake Glenville/Cashiers area year round. Great paddling, hiking and shopping are minutes away. Owner Christine Prime takes great care in creating a home that is warm, comfortable and charming. You won't find a better hostess. The creek, mountain road and barn across the street all create the perfect setting. Oh -- and the hot tub -- a fantastic feature! We always hate to leave and plan our next trip as we pull out of the driveway. Keep Coming Back! Kara & Mike

Creek-side Cabin is Great!

Review submitted: August 22, 2011   Date of arrival: August 13, 2011

This cabin is great! I have not relaxed so well in a rental before- The hot tub is wonderful, and the bed was large and so comfy, just like I needed. Everything was on hand for a quiet vacation, with a full kitchen and clean home. It was a great place to have a dog, she enjoyed the small creek and the field behind the cabin. Plenty of room for both of us to have quiet time and still be close. The road was quiet and perfect for walking safely. Such a quiet and peaceful place! I plan to return soon.

The cabin is quite cozy, with enough room for us (2 adults and 1 dog). The grounds provided great walking space, and the stream looked and sounded great!
Breakfast was super yummy, as provided by the gracious Christine. The nearby lake is beautiful, and had we more free time, we would have taken advantage of it's amenities
The cabin is a wonderful place to spend time. Don't miss it if you are planning a visit to the area!

The Creek-Side Cedar Cabin was the perfect spot for our family, including our 2 dogs. The decor was lovely and cheerful, and the cabin could not have been any cleaner or more well-appointed. From towels, to kitchen utensils, to board games, we had everything we could possibly have needed. The king-size bed with its down comforter was really a treat, and so was the hot tub. We loved the breakfast Christine brought us in the morning, and the fact that she was close by if we needed anything, but still far enough away that we had plenty of privacy. The cabin was so much more than we expected, and we look forward to returning the next time we come up to the area.
