We stayed in the Corner Cabana for a week. It is a lovely home and stocked very well. The floors were sparking when we walked in; what a pleasant surprise. I was a bit skeptical about having carpet, but it looked like it was brand new. Kitchen is really well stocked and we loved the counter. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Location is great - beach, grocery store and many restaurants all within walking or biking distance. We highly recommend this property. It is a big winner and we will definitely be back!
Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

We so appreciate the kind remarks regarding our Corner Cabana vacation home. It has been our family's favorite beach house for 55 years, and it is a great pleasure for us to provide the same lasting memories for other families and travelers as well....we take that very personally, so when our guests fall in love with our hometown and accommodations, we feel like it's a mission accomplished! Our parents, in their mid-90's, who still own the home, are grateful as well! It's our goal to represent them well. Again, our thanks for the good report.... we'll pass it on to our folks and to our crew of family members who scrubbed those sparkling floors!

Homey, Friendly Place

I loved my visit to Newport Beach. My son had a film in the Newport Beach Film Festival and it was well-received. The film was “Burzynski” – the story of the Houston doctor who has found the cure for cancer.
My husband and I had such a great time walking on the beach, watching the seals and eating great food. Today we went to the San Diego Zoo and, although we are tired, had a fantastic time!

What a wonderful week we’ve enjoyed at your idyllic beach home! We so appreciate all the comforts of home in such a beautiful shore setting. The kids loved the waves and the surfing scene, as well as the pier. We valued the walks, the flowers everywhere! We had all the necessary rest and relaxation. Thanks to you, we got to experience Balboa Island, the local fare at the Crab Cooker, and all the other sights of Newport.

"Beach House" Feel

We Had the Best Time!

Our first time ever renting a beach house and we had the best time! Most relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken. Love the easy walk to the beach and all the lovely restaurants we walked to every day. Rode bikes to many places, rented a Duffy boat one day and a kayak another. Also went on a Segway tour for the first time and loved it. Your home is a lovely beach hang-out. If we decide to have another beach vacation, might consider trying your other properties too.

This review is a little late but still felt the need to do so, as the nice home & kind owners really deserve it! Myself boyfriend his mother and sister stayed here at the end of April ( 3 nights/4 days ) to celebrate my 30th birthday and also had a wedding to attend. This home was clean cozy had everything we needed & more! We enjoyed cocktails on the front patio- perfect spot to people watch & enjoy the weather! Just about everything you need is walking distance the Vons is just a few SHORT blocks away. The beach is ALOT more closer than we expected, we were able to walk back and forth to the house fast & easy to use the restroom or get more cold drinks/snacks. In the evening we would take about a 10 minute walk along the boardwalk to the pier area for dinner & drinks then cab it back. It was a perfect mini-vacation- one we will never forget! The owners are easy to work with & even went out of thier way to help my boyfriend out on a birthday suprise for me! Thank you both again, WE WILL BE BACK! -

This was such a great little place. It was unique, charming, retro, in the perfect location to walk to the store, dinner at Mama D's and breakfast the morning we left. There were two patios and it was nice to be able to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine. I enjoyed this place so much! We can't wait to return with the kids.

Cozy little home away from home

Upon arriving at this sweet little beach house, my husband and I both agreed that it felt very warm and inviting. It really did feel like home right away! Everything we needed was there, and we LOVED cooking on the grill every night for dinner. We have 3 little ones, so being close to the beach was very important to us. It literally took us only 2 minutes to walk to the sand from the house! Talk about convenient! Also, another great thing about this house's location was that it was only 2 blocks from the grocery store! We made several trips throughout the week to get food, so being this close was a blessing for us! We also really appreciated that there was a washer and dryer there.....and boy did we use them!
My girls loved the room they slept in. It was bright and fun and they slept great! Our one year old slept in the room with us, and there was plenty of room for her pack and play. There was a little bucket of toys there (which was great for my kids!) several board games, movies and books too!
The owners were always very kind, and more then willing to help make our stay more comfortable.

Wonderful Vacation Home

My husband and I along with our two grown children stayed in this super clean vacation home for 3 nights. This beach cottage was our 'home away from home'....Relaxing after a day of sight-seeing or a day at the beach was very comfortable in this home. Everything you can think of is provided for you. We will definitly stay again.

This house was perfect for our family of two adults and two teens. The beach is a short 60-90 second walk. Albertson's grocery store is also a short 2 blocks away, which was very convenient. Everything the owners provided was great. Highly recommended! Our only regret is that we didn't bring our bicycles with us. If you have bikes, there is no need for a car!
