The house was amazing. The kitchen had everything imaginable. The furnishings throughout were super comfortable. Every imaginable amenity from video games and movies, geocaching gps and info; family games and toys. Great ocean views. A nice place for walks. Right on the golf course. There were long beautiful beaches close by. The local restaurants are great. Be sure and visit Occidental for the Italian food at Negris or the Union Hotel and definitely go to Osmosis spa in Freestone. It is truly amazing. Gorgeous Japanese gardens there.
There is a local ranch where you can go horseback riding on the beach. The kids loved it.
The owners made the process of renting very simple.
All in all - one of the best vacations ever.

This house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable with the memory foam tops!
Also the view was wonderful, and we all loved the kitchen and large dining room table for the whole family (8 of us including 3 kids and 5 adults). It was so easy to cook, because everything including spices were there already. My mom said she would like to move this house back to their property, because it is so bright and had so many windows with such a nice open design. The kids also loved the DVD movies, hot tub, and the toys! The owners were very easy to work with, and the house was just as nice as it was promised on the website. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The beautiful views, condition of property, and well-equipped home all accurately match the on-line description. Kitchen was well supplied with spices, plastic wrap, foil, zip-locks etc and small appliances including electric griddle. The jacuzzi was wonderfully relaxing (only drawback was the 10 p.m. community curfew to be out of hot-tub!), and beds were very comfortable. The living room was very spacious and fun place to hang out., equipped with large flat-screen high-def TV. We (family reunion two couples and one parent) enjoyed the fireplace two nights and had enough DRY wood provided to last 2-3 fires. Nice touch! We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood as the landscaping is spectacular along with the fresh air. Best of all. Debbie is excellent to do business with as she communicates quickly, and with kindness and respect. Unlike a few rental property owners who do not seem to be customer-satisfaction-oriented, she and her husband obviously are!! We are glad we settled on their property! Thanks for a great 5 day stay and the early check-in on Monday was a big boost. We highly recommend!!!

This was the second time we rented the house for a short family vacation. It is a perfect place we can get together with our adult children and now infant granddaughter, as well as their two small dogs. By day, we have easy access to the beach for walking, for crabbing and golf for those who enjoy that. Evening brings lots of family games, cards and enjoying the hottub. The house is very well equiped with everything needed, including baby equipment. We hope to continue this yearly family tradition. It is truly a wonderful getaway.

We've often spent Super Bowl weekend in Bodega Bay. This time of year at the coast is always the best. After we found Pacific View we won't stay anywhere else. It's comfortable, well equipped and we feel at home here. The owners Debbie and Dave have thought of everything including a pot big enough to cook three live crabs at one time. There's even a wine frig!
The views are fabulous, the furniture comfortable and what a surprise this year to find a new 55" television for viewing the game. For couples there's lots of privacy as the master bedroom and the others are located on opposite sides of the house. Each bed is equipped with memory foam toppers and everyone seems to sleep well here with the sounds of the ocean. The hot tub is protected by the home on three sides so you can enjoy it even on a windy day.
This is a home where you can bring your dog, your kids and not worry too much as the home is comfortable for everyone. There are games, books, dvds, beach equipment, baby equipment and Debbie even supplies a dog bone and bed. If you forget something, like zip top bags, you'll probably find it in this well equipped home.
We look forward to returning soon.

I can't recall ever staying at a cleaner rental home. Not just clean, but in good repair, right down to the trim. The design was very open and conducive to relaxation and entertainment. A hot tub that works well and easily - how unique. Great red sunset views from the panoramic family room windows. And only a short walk to a great beach.

My husand and I and my brother and sister-in-law have been renting properties in Bodega Harbor for 25 years. From the first email to Debbie it was the most pleasant experience ever. She is very professional and provided all information needed without having to ask. The home was warm and welcoming. It is the cleanest rental we have ever had and the beds, sheets, and linens were premium. Debbie told us to make it our home and feel comfortable. WE DID...it was wonderful. The house is completely stocked. Instructions were given for everything in the house. All electronics worked great, spa warm and working, welll stocked fire wood, and instructions and supplies for any type of emergency. Location is beautiful. Views are awesome. We stayed till New Years Day and it was great. The house is conveniently located a short distance to the Golf Course and Clubhouse. We will be back. Thanks to Debbie for letting us experience her home.

This home is absolutely perfect, especially if you have babies and little kids. It is totally equipped for the little ones, with a high chair, jogging stroller, bouncer, swing, toys, games, and books. My kids were totally at home here. The home has all sorts of nice touches like books, DVDs, lots of dishes, hair dryers, soap, and shampoo. Everything is super comfy, especially the mattresses and the bath and kitchen mats, and *super* clean. The location is great, it's just a quick stroll down to the beach, and there's a panoramic view of the ocean from the living room. Diekmann's has some surprisingly good pizza if you're looking for some take-out.

What a great stay we had at this property. The house is so well equipped, spacious and very well maintained. We enjoyed the well stocked closet of games, kitchen and the hot tub was great. The men played golf on Sunday while us ladies went over to the local town of Sebastopol and spent a lovely afternoon at a wonderful farmer's market. The weather was crisp, but we still managed to walk down to the nearby beach a couple of times and enjoy the sun and throw a football around. The family room was the place to be for the most beautiful sunsets and ocean views. So glad we rented this home instead of a hotel. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants a relaxing and comfortable experience.

This was the perfect spot for a golf getaway. There were 5 of us playing in a two day golf tournament at Bodega Bay and it was perfect being so close with a view of Hole 1 fairway from the back deck and the Pacific Ocean from the front window. The home was so comfortable and beautifully decorated...from the soft towels to the protected hot tub, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if the opportunity arises in the future. Can't beat the mid-week pricing!!

Gorgeous view! Totally awesome location! We loved the neighborhood, it's so quiet and peaceful, great neighbors. I was trying to put my finger on why we felt so good and comfortable at this house, and I realized what it was... I felt like I was borrowing my friend's vacation rental rather than renting some random place from a rental agency. It made a huge difference to be so well-connected to the owners who communicated with me frequently and thoroughly via email. I so appreciate how they made us feel so welcomed; and gosh everything in the home is so well-stocked with thought to every detail, it truly was like he owners had just left for the weekend and loaned us their home.

We stayed in the house for two nights. The owners could not have been more accommodating in thinking of everything needed for a comfortable stay and we had everything we needed to set up housekeeping. The views from the property are breathtaking. The bed was very comfy. We took advantage of golfing at Bodega Harbour Links (great!) and Northwood (which is a lovely wooded 9 hole course in Monte Rio). We also visited a few local wineries and took a drive to Tomales Bay for oysters to bring back to the house and BBQ. Thank you for your hospitality Debbie, we had a wonderful visit!

Every aspect of Pacific View equates to Paradise for our annual three-generation family reunion! Owners' attention to detail and flexible, informative responsiveness is stellar. Home's sky-lit ocean/bay views, well-stocked pantry, cleanliness, games/puzzles for young and old, beach pass and gear (including much-envied spinner kite!), large kitchen, and roomy jacuzzi made for many happy memories. Live acoustic music Thursday night dinner at on-site Bluewater Bistro brought oohs and aahs with each wonderful morsel - wait staff very kid-friendly. If possible, would rate this rental six out of five stars - all in-home surprises were pleasant ones. After only seven too-short days, leaving Pacific View is somehow like leaving an old friend...

Coming from North Carolina, we spent five nights here to be close to UC-Davis Marine Lab. The house was spacious for a family of 4, very clean, and completely equipped with everything we needed. We like to cook and the kitchen was spacious, sky-lit,and user-friendly, with a pantry shelf of herbs and spices. We enjoyed the views from the large windows in LR and MBR; when the sun was out, those rooms were pleasantly warm. After a foggy, cool day, we enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace - wood and fire starter were right on hand.
The location was good for day trips. Besides doing the Bodega Head hike, we visited Armstrong Redwoods State Park and Point Reyes (saw the elk at the Reserve there). We could have gone lots of other places - lots to do within an hour or so drive. Plenty of games and children's toys in the house also.
We had no problems at all, but did contact the owners to arrange an additional night's stay. They immediately answered our call. They were also very responsive by email when we were arranging our stay. When we're in the area again, we'd love to stay at Pacific View!

We love this home. This was our 2nd stay here & it was a fabulous time. The house has everything you need, I mean everything. Just pack clothes & food. We were there Thurs.-Sun & we only left by car once to pick up crab & oysters from Lucas Wharf & a short jont into Occidental & to Bodega Head to whale watch. The rest of the time was spent relaxing, enjoying the gorgeous view, piecing together a puzzle, in the hot tub, or on the beach. The weather was incredible! And the sunsets were un-real! Absolutely amazing, we took the most incredible pictures, you'd think they were Photoshopped! I'd highly recommend a January stay as this time of year seems to be fantastic in Bodega Bay!
We took my teenage daughter this time & she fell in love with the house! One thing that is great, that even though it is a good sized home, it is open enough that even if you are in separate rooms you still feel connected! I love that!
The only complaint is that eventually you have to leave & go back to reality! lol
Thanks again for a fantastic trip! Til next time...

My husband and I rented the Pacific View House so that our two adult children and their spouses could come over for the weekend to visit, since we live in Southern California and they live in two different areas of Northern California. The house was lovely with beautiful views of Bodega Bay and the marina area. We appreciated the fact that the house was nicely maintained with lots of extras like games, beach equipment, items for children, and, since we like to cook, a well-stocked kitchen with pantry basics, nice quality pots and pans, and other cooking tools. A large hot tub, seating for 8 at the dining table, comfortable beds in 3 bedrooms and a large living room with great views make this a perfect spot for a group to enjoy. The area is pretty on a golf course and overlooking the ocean and there are plenty of surrounding areas to explore; the River's End restaurant at Jenner with views of the Russian River flowing into the ocean is one of the many nice experiences we had. Finally, the owner was very accommodating and left instructions that were clear and concise. We will recommend this place to friends or relatives interested in visiting the Bodega Bay area.

To sit in the living room and look out the windows and see the beach was awesome but to be able to walk just down the street and have access to the beach was even better!

Where do I begin, the house is stunning, spacious, ALL beds with memory foam tops, large kitchen, huge hottub, tv's in every room, hundreds of movies, full closet filled with games, completely set up for kids and even babies. There was nothing we needed and more we did not expect. This is definately a place that I will book for my family and for more girls trips. Thank you so much!!!!!

The beds are oh so comfy, ocean views to make you feel the serenty of the ocean. A well equipped kitchen with a lovely view of the golf course. A nice large table to sit the family for our fish and chips and clam chowder tradition. The large hot tub was a hit so relaxing..and the many games my family all enjoyed. Our favorite was Scattergories,we had some good laughs..Kids come up with some amazing ideas. The close walks to the ocean was great, no cars needed.
Working with the owners of Pacific View was perfect, so helpful.
They did allow our dog who had a wonderful comfy bed too..woof..special arrangements were made but it was worth it...and hopefully Mango can come back.

The house was comfortable and had great views of the bay, Bodega Head and the open ocean. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Beach access was only minutes away and the sunsets from the living room were amazing. Fresh crab, a nice fire, Sonoma County wines and good music only added to the enjoyment of this fine rental. It felt like home within minutes after arrival. Thank you!!!

We stayed at the Tarca's during December and have a hard time believing this is the "off-season". Debbie wanted us to enjoy her home as much as we do ours. We actually enjoyed her home more than ours which is exactly what you want and need on vacation. We felt right at home the minute we arrived. Debbie's attention to detail is amazing. We enjoyed the quiet, the cooking in the well-stocked, roomy kitchen, hours in the hot tub, the incredible ocean view, the fireplace, and walking on the beach. I was astounded at the amount of baby/child items the house comes with. My children are grown, but I remember having to pack all of the items needed just for a week's vacation! The house is amazing, Debbie is amazing, and we will definately be back, probably in the "off-season" again!

Very comfortable stay in CLEAN home. I admit to being initially worried over the lower price and fact that the owner allows a pet. After speaking with Debbie & reading the many reviews, I was satisfied that their pet policy was one I could handle; small pet with minimal hair/dander that stay's DRY. I'm not a dog person so a 'doggy smelling house' wasn't going to suit me. This home is anything but! It's clean and VERY comfortable. I felt like I could have been in my own home save for the ocean waves and seal sounds. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Being able to walk to the beach out the front door is a huge plus! Like someone else said....PERFECT fit for our family. Thank you too for the great value and the comfortable stay! We didn't lack for anything.

Loved the layout of the home - spacious, comfortable, welcoming. A lot of thought went into stocking/supplying home with items for all ages. No need to pack extras (ie: towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc.). Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay. Would love to come back! :)

Rented this home in Bodega Bay in June 2010. Closest street to the beach so easy walk to the sand& Clubhouse to golf. Loved the Doran Beach pass that the women used to take kids to State Park entrance. The extra's in the house are too many to name: beach supplies/movies/books/games/video games. Lots of wine glasses (the wine was flowing) and appreciated the wine fridge. Feel like we've found our 'home' in Bodega Bay.

We've stayed at Pacific View numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. Close walk to the beach and the layout of the home is very inviting. Clean! Has all the 'gadgets' we'd ever need to feel comfortable and the movies, games, books are all a bonus. Truly a wonderful place to spend valuable time off. I would highly recommend. We researched a number of homes and Pacific View was the BEST!

Dear Debbie and Dave Tarca, We just want to make a few comments regarding our stay in your house at 891 Gull Drive, Bodega Bay, beyond those already left in your guest book. The house was delightful, easily accommodating our group of five from three generations. Our four-year old granddaughter Cecelia Rose chose to sleep in the trundle bed in the front bedroom, and we oldies went to the far bedroom in the other wing of the house, but we could have equally well done it the other way. The house is marvelously laid out so people can have quiet and privacy when they need it. The large kitchen is well equipped, easily accommodating large cooking projects if desired. We were surprised and Cecelia was delighted to find a chest full of toys (though a little puzzled that the “baby toys” did less interesting things that she had remembered from her own baby days). Once she had looked through the toys, she found some of the games much more to her liking. In all, it did really make us feel welcome to be invited to enjoy some of the things your own family had used at an earlier stage. The two close-by paths to the beach were interesting but short enough to be easy for little kids, and the beach itself was lovely. With its several small streams running into the ocean, it kept Cecelia occupied digging and building in the wet sand for as long as we would allow. Finally, we were initially puzzled that your house was somewhat less expensive than some others of similar size listed in the Bodega Bay area, and wondered to ourselves. “What might be wrong with it?” The answer was, nothing. Though it did not have a “waves crashing right out the front door” kind of view, the house and location turned out to be quite wonderful for both adults and child.

My family and I stayed here just before the holidays
and had the best time! The house is very
comfortable, the master bedroom is large and
inviting and the hot tub was perfect in the cold
weather. We brought our almost two year old and it
was so nice to have a high chair and baby
equipment there. Lots of fun games too. We would
definitely stay here again!

This is the third year our family has enjoyed your wonderful home. Once again it was spotless, welcoming and met our every need. Walks on the nearby beaches, time spent in the spa and enjoying your game collection were a treat for all of us. The convenience of all the baby and toddler items made for stress-free traveling. Thank you for making our annual Bodega Bay vacation memorable.

We had a wonderful stay back in April!
The house is very big and very clean. There is everything you need. We even made waffles!
We watched sunsets from the house. Just gorgeous!
The master bedroom is away from the other two bedrooms. This gave us lots of privacy :). The master bedroom also has a big open ocean view...
The house is in a very quiet neighborhood, 5 min walk from a 2 mile long beach.
If renting in April, expect strong winds... We could still use the jacuzzi because it's shielded from the wind.
We would be happy to stay here again :)!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! We had such a wonderful time -- sooooo relaxing! We saw the most beautiful sunsets from the comfort and warmth of the upstairs media room, enjoyed the hot tub, the beach -- flew kites and played in the water. It was especially nice to be able to walk less than 10 minutes to the beach. This house has everything! The many board games to choose from was a nice surprise and our kids had a blast! We highly recommend this house for anyone looking to get away and relax!
Thanks again and we'll most definitely be back --- that's for sure!

Thanks Debbie and Dave for allowing us to share your home in Pacific Grove, we didn't get unpacked and were all ready looking at calendar for a return trip. The communication's prior to our arrival with Debbie was paramount, its really great to have a good feeling about a place that you have never been.. We are retired and travel thruout California, no other accomodations are anywhere close to what we had at your home... I captured via camera , the prettiest sunsets I have ever seen. Yes, we highly recommend your home!! See you the end of June 09

our family had a fantastic weekend at pacific view. we've done many vacation rentals and home exchanges over the years, and this one really stood out. why? first off, this home really is child-friendly (and they have the "kid stuff" and understanding ethos to prove it!). second, the post-stay cleaning expectations are reasonable (i.e., you tidy things up nicely but don't find yourself having to vacuum and scrub the floors with a toothbrush while you ponder why you've paid a cleaning fee!). third, the house is lovely and well laid out, the hot tub works great (sadly, too often a rarity), the living room has superb views and is enormous, and the location is perfect (a super-short walk to the beach, which our 5 and 1.5-year-olds handled just fine). we lucked out with great weather, but the home would also be ideal for cozying up in cold weather (great fireplace, and that hot tub!). plus, the tarcas were lovely to deal with and made those extra gestures that made us feel welcome. thank you for a great time. we'll be back!

Its a really great place to be in the winter - secure and cozy - good fireplace - hot hot tub. We love walking on the beach. This has to be one of the best maintained and stocked vacation rentals in the world! thanx

We had an incredible 1st visit to Bodega Bay - this house is awesome! We brought our 4 year old and 2 year old daughters and they just had the greatest time. The house is well appointed and we were pleasantly suprised by just how well it was stocked. The access to the beach was just icing on the cake. We used this weekend as a place to get away with our friends from S.F. and it was the perfect meeting point. Thanks for making such a great family friendly place available in such a beautiful part of the California coast.

This year we decided to go a bit north for Thanksgiving. We spent the past 5+ years in Morro Bay. Bodega Bay and your beautiful home was a better destination by far - actually it is about 1/2 the distance from home - an advantage for sure. Your home is totally family friendly and we packed more than necessary for our grandson. You really know how to anticipate family needs. You have everything and all is new and comfortable and complete. The views are fantastic also. You even proveded a bed and chew stick for Puck-the-Papillion! We hope to return here as it is the best vacation rental we have ever used. Thanks for being so thoughtful. We really enjoyed staying in your home.

We stayed in this home last Summer as well as our recent visit. What a wonderful GEM! The PROS of this home: Layout (bdrms in back are great for kids while adults take front/use liv. rm TV/Stereo late at night..etc); well stocked with EVERYTHING (we always bring too much!); Well lit (I love lots of skylights); VIEWS (best sunsets!!); Easy walk to beach; Love the beach stuff; CLEAN! (Unusual for rentals); Beds/rooms/furniture...all comfortable. I love the GPS and the intoduction to Geocaching! Thanks for the little extras like the beach pass! These are what endear us to this home along with all the rest. The only con is that this home is popular (as it should be!) Book early... Debbie you are GREAT to work with. Book us in for next year!

The was the 3rd annual Lindquist family beach vacation at the same house. We enjoy staying here because of the amentities and the proximity to the beach. Usually we come in August and we have sunny days. This year we moved it up to June and had cloudy days. None the less we had a good time. Some of us rode bikes to Jenner and rode Coleman Valley Road. Both were great rides and we recommend riding in the early morning. We also went to Armstrong State Park in Guerneville. Beautiful park with redwood trees. We also went to the UC Bodega Bay lab. Only opened to the public on Fridays. Enjoyable to everyone of all ages.
