Impressive upon initial appearance. However, there were some housekeeping issues. The master bath had not been cleaned, as there were sandy footprints in the tub. Also, there was no laundry detergent for which to "wash all the towels" as required in the check-out list. I spoke with the housekeeping staff, but they did not come to clean or provide detergent. Also, the owner listed that the home had WIFI. This was VERY important to me, being in graduated school, I needed to work while on vacation. I contacted the owner one week before our trip to verify the Wifi code, but was ignored. When we arrived and realized that there was no Wifi, the owner would not call us back until we contacted his wife. His response was "oh well, you will just have to go to a restaurant for service". He also suggested tethering to my smart phone, but did not offer to pay the $29. fee that Sprint would charge me. I noticed he took the Wifi off the VRBO listing now, but i never would have rented this house without the amenity of Wifi. I would not recommend this home based on the owners poor business practices.
Owners response:
As a homeowner, we provide regular soap and towels to our guests. We don't provide, and have never claim to provide detergent for clothes. We do have a washer and dryer provided however. All of our guests that choose to wash clothes, purchase their own detergent at the Publix which is right down the street, when they buy their groceries for the week. Any hotel where anyone would stay that has onsite washers, not only require payment to use the washer, but also require detergent to be provided as well. We provide the basics for the stay all of the time, but can't tell the guests of everything they might need, as it is different for every family.
As far as the WIFI, I never was asked prior to this particular guests stay about WIFI. Had I received any email, I would have responded as I do to any email. Any time a guest asks, I tell them that we no longer have that service as it was always spotty at best, and we had too many problems with the service, so I discontinued it. When this guest called me, she was rude and demanded I tell her how to get it. I suggested tethering it to her phone, she said her phone didn't do it because it was an Android. When I then suggested a local restaurant might have WIFI, she just became angry and didn't want to discuss it any further. It's a shame that some people just want to slam you for something that they could have easily taken care of with a little prior planning.
I can assure you that we take care of our guests, and will continue to do so.

The Seacrest Beach community was absolutely great! The "Comeback Inn" was perfect for our family(five grandkids and six adults). The house lived up to all our expectations. I would recommend this property,as well as all the amenities (ie, a spectacular community pool, transport services to the beach,etc.). The availability of the beach, the shopping, and the local restaurants, evening concerts, and the neighbors who lived there permanantly, was outstanding. We wouldn't hestitate to vacation there again

All I can say - we had the most relaxing vacation in a long time. We did have a little scare when we arrived to "the house" as our GPS system decided to take us to another Blue Crab address - the house wasn't as described and not in walking distance to the beach - we were starting to regret our trip but good thing kids have GPS on their phones - they got us to the right place and life was good again - but the look on their faces at 1st house - "Priceless". Husband and I came down for spring break with 6 high school seniors (boys and girls)and college student. Stayed in panama city in the past and we all decided we didn't want the hassles of drunk college students surrounding us all day and night - that's entertaining for about 1 day. Home is 15 minutes to Panama City for nightlife and shopping, if you want it, or few minutes from Seaside. There was enough action on the beach for our group of teens without it being an annoyance to the adults. While on the beach, it was great to take a break and hit Crabby Steve's beach bar (look for blue roof) within short walking distance where we could grab lunch or an adult beverage (& very reasonably priced - $6 a margarita, can't beat that). Loved walking around the area, beautiful homes and architecture all around that Rosemarie Beach area and some great restaurants. Neighborhood security and tram personnel were very nice and helpful. Other than to visit Seaside, panama City, and Publix, our cars stayed put. We've been all over the country and visited many beaches, but this beats east coast Florida anyday, and frankly even California beaches. Beautiful blue green water and clean white beaches. House has all amenities needed and in great shape - we felt right at home as soon as walked in te door. Porches are awesome to enjoy the views and relaxing. I've heard back from all of the kids' parents and apparently the place was a hit and reported back as a "great spring break" - we'll be back !

Owners response: Thanks for the great review! I am glad you found out soon that "the house" you first came to was not mine. I'm also glad you found the house to be "as advertised" and within walking distance to everything. We hope you "Come Back" soon!

This is a fabulous house and area. We went on a family vacation with our young adults and my mother in 2005. EVERYONE loved the house, area and pool. They were very excited to learn we are going back this year. We usually don't go to the same place twice.
