Stayed for a week after Easter with my husband , teens, and nephews. We LOVED IT!!...A house right on the lake and literally 2 min from the beach!!! The owners are absolutely awesome!! Very nice people to deal with! We will be back!! Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!!!

Where Happy Memories Are Made

My husband and two teenage sons absolutely adored this house! It was convenient to St. George Island, Mexico Beach, and Apalachicola. The owner was very friendly and made herself available if we had any questions or needed suggestions. The home is as described and the pictures are accurate. We had plenty of space and all amenities needed. I will fondly remember this as a peaceful place where families can grow closer and wonderful memories are made.

Great get away,,,Great Price

We (2 adult,3 children,1 small pet) had a wonderful time at this cottage. Everything was as stated in the ad. The home was clean and well maintained. The owner was very gracious and easy to reach. Would recommend to any couple or small family. Several beaches nearby. Local grocery store and other eateries just around the bend. The people in Carrabelle were very welcoming, and we look forward to seeing them again. The whole area was nice, quiet and calming, We will definitely return again.

Couldn't have been better

When we first arrived, we had lots of questions and the owners were very accommodating. They recommended many attractions and places to eat. Since we aren’t into the crowds and party-scene, it was perfect. We went “birding” almost every day and added over 30 new birds to our “life list”. We went to all the state parks, did lots of walking and hiking, ate tons of seafood, enjoyed Wakulla Springs, etc. Jeanne's recommendation of the smoked mullet dip was spot on. We bought it twice along with lots of scallops, shrimp and oysters. Walking Carrabelle Beach is like having your own private beach. Very few people there and it was lovely. I would have preferred a bit better mattress, but all and all the house was as described. We did have to purchase some basics (salt & pepper) along with groceries. The local IGA had everything that we needed. Very safe area, the house is in a gated community.

Carabelle Beach

Our family loved this cottage! The owners are EXTREMELY nice. The cottage was very clean and just a short drive to Carabelle beach or downtown Carabelle. Most of our beach time was spent at the state park on St. George Island (15 min drive) which is absolutely beautiful. My children (ages 8 & 9) loved being on the lake-we saw lots of baby frogs and turtles. The only thing that went wrong on our vacation was that it went by too quick. I highly recommend this cottage and plan on return visits.
