I have rented on both Keuka and the West side of Seneca Lake, this is now my favorite of all rentals. The cottage is very well-appointed, well maintained and beyond comfortable. Right from the start the owner and property manager were a pleasure to deal with and the whole rental experience was completely painless. I can't begin to explain how relaxing it was to sit on the dock and listen to the water as we enjoyed watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Lying in bed, 20 feet from the water, listening to the sound of the waves lapping just outside the sliding glass doors of our bedroom was simply SPECTACULAR! The cottage is perfectly situated in the heart of wine country and we found that we were just a short drive from many central NY attractions and famed wineries. We will never forget this vacation and I can not wait to return next year!

Owners response: Thank you for the very kind review. As you can see, a previous reviewer was not so friendly, but I have learned over the years that you cannot please everyone. It is nice to know the hard work and dedication I put into my properties are appreciated by most of those who are renting. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and your accomodations. Come back and see us.

We enjoyed a delightful and comfortable week on the lake in this charming, fully-equipped and WELL-located cottage. The owner was very pleasant, helpful, and great to do business. All the amenities are there and you are literally just steps away from the lake. We loved the deck and dock, perfect for sunsets and remarkable views of Seneca Lake. We have recommended this cottage to all of our closest friends and have already booked again for next year!!

This house was a perfect getaway. It is rather small;however it is the PERFECT size for a couple or even 3, possibly four people. The house is well-kept and the view is perfect! I stayed in the fall and the house was cozy and comfortable. I plan on renting it again possibly next summer and next fall.

My sister & I stayed for 2 nights mid September. Despite many communications with the owner, I never did figure out that we were completely on our own. The door was unlocked. We didn't figure out where the door key was till day 2. There were instructions posted on the refrigerator to put the rental payment in the mail box at the house across the street. The worst part was the condition of the cottage. It was extremely musty smelling. The dehumidifier had stopped running because it was full. Linens were included, however, they needed to be washed & dried before we could use any of it. it is a good thing that I brought laundry soap. And the written instructions on the refrigerator stated that all linens needed to be washed & dried upon departure. Seriously? I would have brought my own. We had to get up 2 hours early to wash bedding before getting to the airport. I am so glad that we did not check in at night, as we spent 2 hours airing the place and washing bedding. The chairs on the deck in the beautiful photo? Nope-broken. I finally found 2 rusty folding chairs. There were a couple light bulbs out, including the outside stairs & doorway. We used the light from our phones to navigate the unfamiliar entryway. I was lead to believe from communication with the owner that departure cleaning was included. The instructions on the refrigerator indicated that we were to leave the cottage as we found it (I did want my deposit returned), so we spent extra time cleaning the floors, bath & kitchen, etc...This was not a carefree vacation rental and I do NOT recommend it.
