What a fabulous condo! Not only was it very clean, but it had so many thoughtful touches such as an ironing board, drying rack for towels, hangers, extra blankets and pillows, board games, etc. It's the little extras that this unit provided that really made our experience in this condo above and beyond other experiences with rentals. We cooked meals everyday in the unit and couldn't get over how well stocked the kitchen was -pots, pans, crock pot, storage containers, mixer, mixing bowls - you name it, it was there! I believe Rachel Ray and Paula Dean could make meals here and not want for anything. The unit had plenty of silverware and dishes for our crew of 6 so that we didn't have to run the dishwasher constantly.
It's obvious that the owner is concerned with the comfort of her guests. She has thought of everything. It's move-in ready! We really couldn't ask for more. I would definitely recommend this condo. Oh, did I mention the incredible view?......

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Our Second Stay

Our second stay here in your condo was once again wonderful! Lazy days playing in the ocean and nights spent visiting the shops or walking to the pier. I'm having a full on pity party because we are leaving today!! We will be back again next year though!! Thanks for the use of the condo.

Lovely, Restful Week

We have had such a lovely, restful week here and are sorry it is time to go! We looked through many condos on vrbo.com and this one caught our eye with the pretty beach theme inside and that spectacular view from the balcony. It certainly did not disappoint. We especially appreciatied the inclusion of the beach chairs. After days of resting by the surf (with perfect weather!), we are fully recharged and ready to tackle the world again.

This was an Amazing week. We enjoyed this wonderful Beach front condo. The condo itself, the view from the balcony, and the Gulf itself were spectacular. It was perfect for our family of four. We look froward to coming back again.

This is our third stay in 501. Our week was lovely with only one rain day, dispite bad weather reports. Friends came in from Ohio to stay with us for a few days, so we had 8 at one point, but we all fit. We used the beach chairs every day and love eating out on the balcony. The view makes it feel like you are always right on the beach.Sigh! We love this place and of course, we will be back again. Thanks again, Marcy & Steve. Visited the Eglin Air Museum this time, and it was very nice, the kids enjoyed it too. We love this place, and nothing recharges you like the beach!

We had an Awesome time! This was our 2nd time to Destin, but our 1st time staying here. This was by far the best place we've ever stayed. We ate at some really great places-our favorite being The Shed. We also ate at Mellow Mushroom, Hardrock, Fudpuckers and Hooters! The Crab Shack was a cool place to eat lunch-on the Waterfront. They included 2 beach chairs and an umbrella-very relaxing! Something we also love about Destin (being a Military family) is a lot of places do Military discounts, so make sure you ask everywhere. Check out the Fishing Museum-Awesome.

A Fabulous week in a Beautiful setting! My family and I look forward to this all year, and it never disappoints! We have had a funfilled week of long, relaxing days on the beach, good food at night and lots of laughter! These are the days that I will reflect on when the "oh-so normal, humdrum" workdays roll back around. Thank you for all of the conviences of home.

"Wonderful"

Our 2nd time here in this Condo! Our 4th year at Destin West. Our family stayed here for 10 days over Memorial Day Weekend. We loved every minute of our vacation. Beautiful ocean, soft sand between our toes, from a Lazy River and Gulf side pools. We made new friends (from LA and Knoxville, TN) and reaquainted with old friends from last year! "Wonderful"

Wow! Pictures do not do this justice! When you book something online you're always concerned it's not what you'ld hoped. this was better! Fabulous views (we saw dolphins the first day). Beautifully decorated condo and amenities. A great way to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary! We are so relaxed I hate going back to the real world! Thank you so much for sharing this paradise. I'm sure we'll be back!

Great Three Weeks

Great three weeks. Thanks Marcy & Steve for great accomodations. Saw Dolphins jumping completely out of water this year in front of the unit. One day Dolphins were about 20 ft. from shore. We saw two weddings on the beach right in front of this unit. One Saturday there were 3 Weddings on the beach. Tried new restaurants this year, Cafe Italia, Ali's Bistro, AJ's, Vinnie McGuire's Pizza place, opened just 1 month ago, this is associated with McGuires's Irish Pub. Discovered Destin Commons and Beal's Department store, great place to shop.

Another great week at Okaloosa for our family. Good seafood, beautiful sunsets & lots of relaxing doing nothing. 501 is a wonderful place to stay, very comfortable and nicely decorated. Can't beleive the week went by so quickly. Now time to return to the cold winter weather in Illinois. We rented thru the owner after finding the condo on VRBO.com. Having been to the Destin area for many years and staying in various condos in the area we have found we prefer staying in Destin West.

Thank you !! We had a great time and will definitely be back. Your condo is outstanding, the view is magnificent. We spent so much time in the evening just watching the beach, weddings, waves, etc. I have never enjoyed a vacation so much. I would love to have you decorate my home, this place is beautiful. We brought our two kids and one friend. They had a great time. We enjoyed the beach every day and the girls loved the pool, too. My son met four or five friends and played with them at the beach and the pool. The weather was great, too. Thanks again for this wonderful place to stay. We had a great time. "Here's to the Beach"

We loved our vacation in your condo! Beachfront view is great with a 15 month old with early bedtimes and naps. We still got to enjoy the view of the beach even when we couldn't actually go out. Layout is great. We felt comfortable our entire stay. Thanks for sharing your home with us! Love Okaloosa Island and Destin/Fort Walton.

Second stay here for our family. We love this place. We used the chairs everyday. The kids loved the "hamster balls" on the boardwalk. The boys rented jet skis and had a blast. Thank you for lending your place with it's fabulous views.

Spent the weekend at your condo...our favorite condo thus far. Very well equipped and the 5th floor, water surrounding views were absoulely breathtaking. Marcy - we had an awesome time on our family vacation last week. The condo was perfect! One of the BEST vrbo condos we've ever stayed in. It was very clean and we had tons of space for our family of 4. It was SO easy to go to the beach and pool. We also LOVED the Ramada's pool next door that the complex is able to use. The lazy river was very nice and it was just a short walk over the walkway to get to it. The view was the best - exactly what we were looking for. We spent a lot of time on the balcony and ate many meals out there overlooking the Gulf. We drove into Destin to eat at Louisiana Lagniappe one evening and it was an awesome meal! We loved the location on Okalossa Island which was quiet and relaxing. We'd love to come back again! Thanks! Debbie Gregg

Wow! We shared the condo with another family for the 4th of July week in 2006. We got to see Ft. Walton's, and Destin's fireworks. The view was breathtakingly beautiful, even as I washed the dishes! It was close to the Boardwalk where we ate great dinners at Floyd's, The Crab Shack and Black Pearl. It was definitely a vacation to remember and I would love to return one day.

Dear Alfords,
We will long remember our wonderful time in Unit 501!!! My husband and I, along with our son (age 22), thought this was the perfect place for a family get-together. My sister, brother-in-law and two nieces stayed in Unit 401 below us....so we could not have asked for anything better! Mid-week we had a "mini" Luau and your decor was great for our added decorations. It was the highlight of our vacation! We have taken a family vote and the results are...we will come back next year!!
