Treehouse - Excellent Quiet Retreat
Kim and Brian
(Dundee, Michigan)
Review submitted: July 15, 2008
Date of arrival: July 5, 2008
Me, my husband Brian, my two children, 12 and 23 and my parents visited this great little getaway in July of 2008. The location was private and quiet but not too far away from all the action and activities of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The decor was wonderful and the beds extremely comfortable. The screened in porch with the hot tub was a great amenity for the beautiful summer evenings. The upper deck was also private and does make you feel like your in a treehouse! This house comes equipped with just about everything you need - just bring your munchies and your clothes! The owners are always available and very accommodating. Would love to come back and try one of their other homes during a different season.

My family had an excellent long weekend at the cabin. Everything you need is there! I have stayed at many cabins but this one is very clean and well taken care of. Amy is very easy to work with. I made a very short notice reservation and she was perfectly fine with it! The jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom has a great view, one of my favorite perks of the cabin. Thank you Amy, everything was great!!

We loved staying at the Treehouse. It was beautiful, convenient, and located very close to everything. The beds were very comfortable and lots of air mattresses pillows and blankets in case of extra guests. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. In fact I'm booking another vacation with Amy again. Loved that my dogs were very welcomed here and we loved that they had a small yard to take them out in. Coffee on the porch in the morning was a peaceful way to start the day! Thanks Amy!!

My husband, three sons and I just returned from Pigeon Forge a few weeks ago. We stayed at the "Treehouse" and it was just lovely! It had everything that we needed to keep our busy family on the go. The listing is very accurate and the pictures don't even do it justice. The property was clean and well maintained. Extras such as pillows, blankets, etc were provided. The home has several lovely decks for hanging out and enjoying nature. There are two spacious bedrooms, a blow-up mattress, as well as a sofa sleeper available, so everyone had ample space to sleep. The kitchen is outfitted with everything we needed to prepare meals. The property is up in the hills, with tree coverage, so there was a nice amount of privacy. The driveway is a on a decent incline, but after the first time or two, we had the rythym of it.
We had no problems or concerns when we stayed there. I would surely recommend this home to friends or family members.
Outside the property there is a Community Rec Center nearby with an outdoor pool, for a small fee that was really terrific. It is large, well maintained and close to the house, along with a Kroger.
During our stay in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg we saw/did the following things: Dollywood, Cades Cove, tubing (one of our faves), Ripley's Aquarium, Ober Gatlinburg, shopping, Old Mill restaurant, Apple Barn restaurant and so much more.
Finally, we'd like to thank Amy and her family for sharing their home with us and being such terrific hosts and anticipating our needs!

Owners response: Debbie, I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed everything at the TreeHouse. It sounds like it was a great home base for your family's vacation. Thank you so much for the detailed review. I hope you'll come back again when you plan the next vacation to the Smokies!

A Wonderful Hide Away!

Wow! The Treehouse is like staying at the home of a friend. Everything was clean, comfortable and so inviting! Mornings on the open deck with our coffee was a pleasant way to start the day and the evenings on the screened in deck were such a treat, we ate our evening meals out there, read, checked our emails and just relaxed in the peace and quiet! Knowing that we had such a comfortable place to come back to in the evenings and relax after busy days of enjoying all the things to do in the mountains and shopping in the towns of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was wonderful. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, the week went by way too fast! Our "grandpuppy" loved her stay too, she warmed right up her surroundings and thanks to having a baby gate provided she was safe and able to enjoy the decks as much as we did! Amy thought of every convenience for the comfort of her guests, plus she sent great detailed information on the cabin, places to eat, etc. which was so helpful. Thanks Amy for sharing the Treehouse for others to enjoy and for all the hard that goes into keeping it up so nice! We would definitely recommend the Treehouse cabin to our family and friends, we had a wonderful experience! Would we return for another vacation stay at the Treehouse? ABSOLUTELY!!

This place is awesome. I only stayed for three days but I wish it could have been longer. It is extremely pet friendly; they even have a cookie jar stocked with dog treats. The furnishings are extremely nice.

Owners response:
Hi Bobby,
Thank you for your review and reminding me I need to purchase some dog treats to refill the "cookie jar". I always can tell by how quickly the treats go down if we've had happy 4-legged guests at the cabin. I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation and I hope you'll be able to return in the future for a longer stay.

We arrived on Sun. & stayed until Sat. There was my husband, me & our pet. There was so much room that maybe our daughter & husband would like to come with us next time. Although we did not use the hot tub or jacuzzi, it was available. The kitchen was very well equipped & the coffee maker worked great. The location is perfect for the Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg area. Thanks to the Greener family for sharing their cabin with us so that we could have such a pleasant vacation. Naomi from Florida "Go Gators"

I'm actually replying to you from the cabin right now, as I'm here this week to do maintenance chores. We enjoy making it a comfortable retreat for our guests and there's nothing better than receiving an unexpected and happy review. Thanks Naomi and please come again, maybe this time with your daughter and her husband--there's plenty of room!

Review submitted: December 23, 2010
Date of arrival: December 2, 2010
Wow!! As usual, Amy has everything you need to make you feel right at home. We walked into a beautifully decorated home for Christmas. We were there the second week of December and had 3 days of snow while we were there. It was so neat to be able to sit in the hot tub one morning and watch it snow. And one night, I was able to sit in the jacuzzi in the bathroom with the blinds open and the lights off, and look at the stars out the huge picture window. It was wonderfully relaxing!! When you stay with Amy, you don't have to remember to bring things like cleaning rags, flashlights, or night lights. She has all that waiting our you. The little touches like Christmas decor and flameless candles sure did make Treehouse feel cozy. It was so clean, quiet, and peaceful there. If anyone has any doubts about staying at one of Amy's properties, don't! The reservation process is so easy and Amy is so easy to talk to. If you need anything, such as an extra throw rug, you have it. And our 4-legged daughter, Abby, has always been very pleased staying with Amy also. It is so nice to be able to travel with our girl and she be just as satisfied as we are. Thank You, Thank You, Amy!! Once again, you have provided us with a place to make unforgettable memories!! We hope to return to one of your homes soon to make some more!!! God Bless you and your family!!
Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, romantic getaway
Owners response: Hi Stefanie, once again you've left me speechless with another great review. I never thought much about providing flashlights and cleaning rags, except that they'd be helpful to have handy...but I'm glad you noticed and let everyone know we're well stocked! I just ordered battery chargers for the cabins so if the flashlight or flameless candle batteries get low, guests can just charge them back up and also charge their own battery-operated items like cameras and video game players. I'm glad Abby enjoyed her stay too. Hopefully we'll talk again soon for your next year's vacation. Holiday blessings to you and Chris :0)

Ms. Amy,
We can't thank you enough for sharing your great cabin and providing everything we could need and then some. There wasn't a nook or cranny that did not provide something for the kids to play with. Even though we were able to arrange for a doggy sitter this time, we appreciate The Treehouse being pet friendly. Everything our four legged babies could need was also provided.
Even with so much to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Matthew (our 5 yr old son) would continuously ask, "can we go back to the cabin now?" It was a fun and relaxing time at the Treehouse. The pictures just don't do it justice. It's decorated in a modern yet very cozy style with a feeling of home as soon as you walk in.
Ms. Amy is a great person to talk to with a great sense of humor and very accommodating.
Thanks SO much for everything!!

We have stayed in a lot of cabins but that one is definitely been our favorite. It is private yet convenient to everything. We went to Cades Cove the first night we were there and seen turkeys, deers, coyotes and a baby bear and mom. I believe the best time to visit Cades Cove is late in the evening. The next day was great also. We spent it at Dollywood. That was my nephews first trip down there and they loved it. They really enjoyed Cades Cove. Anyone making the trip to this area needs to go see Cades Cove. I just wanted to let you know how our days went and thank you for giving us the opportunity to enjoy your home.

Our experience at the treehouse was delightful---exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is that of a home filled with love and laughter. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on the screened in porch every night after a day of walking at Dollywood and the Smokey Mt. trails. The cabin is well equiped, extra clean, and comfortable----can't say enough nice things about it. We loved being able to have our dog Maggie with us for the week. I feel that we have new friends in the Greeners and we look forward to another visit at the Treehouse. Thank you Amy for all your help.

Thanksgiving 2009 at the TreeHouse
Review submitted: January 26, 2010 Date of arrival: November 25, 2009
My family and I just returned from our Treehouse vacation. The entire process; rental, payments, directions, check in/ check out, and helpful information about the area was phenomenal. The cabin was inviting, clean (yes, even the hot tub
and jacuzzi), and had all of the amenities of home AND MORE. We were looking for a place that was private and peaceful, yet close to attractions and we got it. Kroger is nearby and that made it easy for us to pick up the things we need and return to seclusion. Cooking was a joy there- we only needed to buy food and specialty items- all the tools are there to make great meals. There is a book in the cabin with pics taken before the Greeners had renovations and decorations done. They have turned this cabin into a true joy to be in. Every minute we spent there was like a gift. We took our dog, Chico and even he was right at home. There are the cutest dog bowls in the cabin! The view from the back of the cabin is lovely. The Greeners added a thoughtful touch by decorating the cabin for the holidays! We plan to make this a tradition. Thank you for a memorable family vacation!

Thank you so much for sharing TreeHouse Hideaway with us. I had told my husband, Bob, on the way up that I really wanted to find a place we could return to year after year. We have been going to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge in the fall since 1999 and have been bringing our furkids for three years now. It is hard to find a cabin that has a yard that they can navigate and TH was easy for our 13 year shih tzu who is almost blind. We were very impressed with how clean TH was because the cabin we rented last year was very obviously a pet friendly cabin. We also appreciated the convenience so that when we were out and about we could return to the cabin to let them out. And last but not least (although you notice the first two were about the dogs) we loved the screened porch and the deck for the days we spent at the cabin, my husband lost many a game of Phase10 on that porch . The location and floor plan of TH was great for us and we will be back in touch to return next fall.

Amy and family,
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your wonderful Treehouse Hideaway. Everything from the location to the cozy decor made our stay in the Smokies very enjoyable. Our teenagers really enjoyed spending time riding go-carts and going to Dollywood during the day then coming back to the Treehouse for time in the hot tub before settling down to watch movies. Also, it was so nice to be able to have our precious puppy on vacation with us! Your website is wonderful in showing the Treehouse, but nothing can compare to actually experiencing it in person. A true home away from home!!!
Thank you,
Mark and Tammy
