Fantastic vacation @ POM

I did not write in your guest book...so I wanted to let you know how great our stay was
in Peace of Mind last week....We have been down to Seagrove at least 10 times in the
last 12 years and we have stayed in very beautiful homes...but almost all have maybe
one draw/back....some the pool .... some other things....All I can say about you home
is that we had not one complaint....it was so equipped with everything we needed (and
we had people from 7 months old, 10 year old and 2 teens ....up to mid 60's ....all my
3 grown children with their spouses .....It was the closest to the beach ever and we have
stayed Gulf Front....it was immaculate and the people you have to clean and rent it(Cynthia
at Seacastles Escape ) were just great....we had no problems with anything. When we
return, I am sure we will be contacting you.

Also I wanted to say, I am in decorating and you did a fabulous job putting this home
together. It must be very rewarding to know you did such a good job.

an absolutely wonderful experience

We have been going to 30A for over 10 years on our beach trips and this was one of the best we've ever had - mainly due to the Rice's home. It was wonderful - cozy, soo beach worthy, and fabulously decorated and outfitted. Everything we could have possibly needed was provided and in great shape.The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is a truly stunning home and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone going to the Seagrove area. Again, thank you for letting us share your home on our trip to the beach!!

Fantastic Location & Beach House!

Great house with plenty of room in a fantastic location. The beach is just steps away and the view from the house is great. The house is well maintained, great floorplan and nice balconies to site out in the evenings on adn enjoy the salt and a tasty beverage.

The owner, Jill, is awesome and very easy to deal with. Thanks and we will be back sometime soon.

fabulous stay at peace of mind!

My family and friends were fortunate enough to stay a beautiful week at Peace of and Mind and also Sea you in Paradise in April. The week included a beautiful beach wedding and reception at Peace of Mind with the breathtakingly beautiful view throughout the day and evening. Our guests were astonished by the house and all the comforts. We will hope to return to this fabulous beach front home soon and have the opportunity to relive only a portion of the wonderful experience we had this year, JIll and Rick have spared nothing in making this home beyond your wildest dreams for comfort and relaxation...try it...you will love it!!!

We had our annual Family Bake & Burn at Peace of Mind (POM) or Paradise Found as we called it. Everyone from ages 22 to 81 LOVED this house, location, furnishings, pool, beach, amazing beach views, etc. Even though you're across the street (dead end, non busy) from the beach, it's only about 20 seconds from house to beach. You walk out the pool gate, cross the empty street, there's the beach. The pool area has 2 outdoor showers for washing sandy bodies & beach toys-very easy. We loved the 2 icemakers (great for the margarita machine), 2 fridges in main house, 1 fridge in guest house, & fabulous kitchen where several folks can cook without bumping into each other. Plus the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook for a crowd & has a convenient separate bar area. There's a pool alarm that sounds everytime you open the door to the pool unless you push the button to prevent it, so it's good for families with smaller kids. Look at the photos and that's what you get, only much better.
There's beach toys in the garage, 2 separate washer/dryers, all beds are kingsized-great when you have tall men with you & the house is decorated so beachy & fun with fabulous beach views. The Rices are so easy to work with, & a local caretaker is available if you have any issues.
When we could drag ourselves away from POM, we ate at Red Bar (Grayton Beach-cash/check only), Louie Louie's-(A cleaner Red Bar w/ similar menu). Uncle Ernie's in Panama City, McGuire's & Pompano Joe's in Destin & donuts from the Donut Hole (in Destin & Santa Rosa Beach-freshly baked at 6AM-try the red velvet donut & apple filled). We walked down the beach to WaterSound & explored there. Plus the Outlet Mall is in Destin & Pier Park (stores, bars, restaurants) is at the western edge of Panama City, then you have the beachside communities of Seaside, Watercolor, Alys Beach, Grayton,etc to wander through.
POM is located in beautiful & calm Seagrove Beach. It's not as frantic, crowded, congested with traffic or overbuilt like Destin, where we used to stay. The highest praise for Peace of Mind came from my parents, who have been all over the world. They said the Rices thought of everything you could possibly need in a beach house, & they couldn't see how any other beach house could be better than this one, so we should book POM for our next Bake & Burn. Everyone agreed-POM is the best, so I'm booking for next year. We found paradise!

Great Vacation

Just returned from a great vacation @ Peace of Mind. Our group of 15 included 4 generations, and all enjoyed the house. Especially nice were the large kitchen and main living area - big enough for all on game nights. Like the ads say - secluded yet close to everything. We are already looking at the calendar for next year. Thanks a bunch!!!

Vacation rental "Peace of Mind"

We rented "Peace of Mind" in October 2009. The house was everything you could ask for. Views were fantastic and the furnishings were excellent. Everything was very well thought out. Our quote of the week was, "They thought of everything a person on vacation would want and need." We have been visiting this area for thirty plus years and have rented many houses and condos. For large groups this is by far the best we have rented. Hopefully, we will have an opportunity to rent from the Rice family again. They were very helpful and accommodating when we were making our arrangements. What a great vacation!

Best place ever!!

There are 11 in our group and we have vacationed at the beach together for 20 years. When we can here 4 years ago, we've never looked anywhere else. We have kids, seniors and married couples and this place has enough for everyone to be happy and private. We watch for dolphins every morning on the deck, we swim late at night in the pool...it's really the best. Can't say enough good about it. Totally worth the $$$.

Great escape!

This was our 2nd stay at "P.O.M' and it was as wonderful as the first stay. This house is ideal for large groups. The decor is superb!
Very good customer service. The owner will go out of her way to please! I can't say enough about the great experience we had staying here. The house is very spacious with enough privacy for everyone. The view from every room is spectacular.

Peace of Mind is by far the most beautiful beach house I have ever stayed in. We were there in November 2008 for a family trip and again in March of 2009 for a girl's trip. I have decided that any time of year is a great time to be there. Great weather, amazing sunsets, chillin' on the porch. The house is decorated with comfort in mind and equipped with everything! Great feel and colors! I love that every bedroom has a view of the beach. I can't wait to go back.

Seaside Half Marathon Girls Trip!

I stayed in Seagrove in early March with 6 friends to run the Seaside Half-Marathon. This house was beautiful. I have never stayed in a rental home that was so beautiful decorated. Each of us had our own bedroom and bathroom which was awesome for sleeping and getting ready to go out at night. The house was very clean, and looked very new. We walked on the beach one evening and watched the sun melt into the water. A stunning sunset! I would highly recommend this place!

Awesome Vacation Home

Beautiful vacation hame inside and out. Great for multiple families with or without children, as well as awesome for a "girls" trip. Gorgeous view and large wrap around porches with plenty of seating for relaxing with a cup of coffee, reading or just good ole conversation. Great area for riding bikes and walking. Extremely clean and well maintained. Huge kitchen. Awesome beach with lots of privacy. This house has it all.

What a Magical Beach House

My family choose to stay at Peace of Mind April Spring Break 2008. I spent weeks reviewing web sites to find what looked like a perfect vacation spot. The only disappointment we had the whole trip was having to pack up and leave. This is the nicest place we have stayed in, and we have been renting condos and homes in Destin, Seaside and Seagrove area for the last several years. We normally pick a new place each year, but after staying at Peace of Mind, we have found our perfect beach house, even if it's for one week a year. We were so impressed with the location of this house. We had a pool, hot tub, and the ocean right outside our door. We loved leaving the door open at night and listening to the ocean as we fell asleep. All of the people in our family had their own rooms, and bathrooms. It was so nice that given the option, the majority of the week we voted to cook at 'home' and eat on 'our' deck overlooking the ocean instead of going into town. In lives so busy these days, it was worth more than money to spend a unforgettable, fun, and relaxing week with our family. This truly was a magical vacation and we are all looking forward to April 2009. Thank you Rick and Jill for allowing us to have a 'beach house'. Dr. Bob, Suzy and all the gang.

April 2008 was our first visit to Peace of Mind. We had so much fun that none of the family wanted to leave. The house was more than we could have imagined. The decorating was perfect in providing a relaxed, beachy atmosphere, with a Park Avenue type of class. There was not one thing missing from this house. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived, until the moment we had to force ourselves to leave. Thank you for sharing your beautiful beach house. You can tell a lot of thought was put into making a memorable vacation for anyone who stays. This was our first trip, but will not be our last.

We have vacationed in the panhandle/Destin area for 16 years. During these years we have stayed at many places.We started out with a condo and as the family grew so the place had to grow. Nothing compares to POM.
We have 11 in our family,(6 adults and 5 children. We have vacationed at POM for 2 years and have reservation for '09.
POM has everything you will ever need.

Sept 15, 2007- We had a great time in your wonderful home. We all felt like we had our own hotel. We will be back- hopefully every year. Sept 21, 2007- Wow- we’ve been renting beach houses for quite a few years and this on e beats all. Everything was great and the beds were awesome. It was the best vacation yet. Sept 27, 2007- Gracious, colorful, soothing, happy comfortable, comforting, eye- catching, fun-fun-fun-fun-fun! What a wonderful place to refresh, renew, and celebrate life. The space and comfort of the private bedrooms and the whole floor plan makes Peace of Mind a special place. Everything is perfect. August 11, 2007- We had a great time- really had “peace of mind”. We are all leaving much more rested than when we came. GREAT BEDS. We’ve been coming for many years and these are the best beds we’ve ever had. From the 3 year old twins to the grandparents, everyone enjoyed this wonderful house. We bought a homemade ice cream maker and are leaving it for the next families to enjoy. Nacogdoches, TX, Dallas, Tx, Flower Mound, TXAugust 18, 2007- This is a great house. I love it. Hey this place is absolutely fabulous. The pics on the website do not do it justice. There is so much space for a huge crowd of people. The kitchen is stocked far better than my own at home with every kind of appliance , dishes, pans imaginable. The beach is about 45 seconds away if you walk slow. We had an incredibly great time. The views are also spectacular. This place is tops of all the places we've stayed.
