Wonderful Lake House

We stayed here last weekend and had a wonderful time. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The house is cute and comfortable and has everything you need to feel at home. It is located in a quiet cove on Lake Keowee. We brought our boat and had no problem launching it at the ramp right around the corner. There is a nice size dock which does not require a big hike from the house like some properties on Lake Keowee. Great home - we would stay here again.

I was joined by family from Maryland, South Carolina and Tennessee for our week stay at Turtlehead this summer. What a lovely house and so much fun on the beautiful lake, zip lining, shopping in Highlands and much more. The house is well maintained, the owner easy to work with and the fresh flowers in the great room on our arrival was a very nice touch. Everyone wants to come back!!! JGR, Amherst, VA

Thanksgiving Getaway

The house was a perfect place to reconnect with our college son over the Thanksgiving break. With upstairs, downstairs and middle, all 3 teenagers and parents had their own relaxing place to stay. The kitchen, complete with two ovens, allowed us to cook and serve a full Thanksgiving feast. We also found the many brochures in the basket helpful--we chose to zipline and to visit Cashiers, NC.

The owners were also easy to contact and gave good instructions and directions.

Thanks for sharing a beautiful house in an amazing location!

Great house, Great Lake

We had a wonderful time at Turtlehead. The house was perfect for us. Great location to the swimming pool, boat landing and tennis courts in the community; within walking distance. The boat landing is perfect for rental of jet skis. Very few boaters the week we were there; great time to get comfortable on a jet ski. Dogs loved the well shaded walks in the community. Would definitely like to rent again.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We rented this lake house for a Thanksgiving getaway and to attend the Clemson vs. SC football game. Our daughter was a senior and did not want to miss the last big rival game and we didn't want to miss her for Thanksgiving. This place was absolutely wonderful. We were able to cook a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and we all enjoyed the weather and the lake. The transaction with the owners was also excellent!!!! Thanks so much!!

Great House!

Our family rented this house for a Clemson football weekend getaway, bringing our daughter and her friends. We were pleasantly surprised with this well-maintained home! Not only is it clean, well-equipped, and perfectly laid out, it also has a commanding view of beautiful Lake Keowee. Our daughter and friends enjoyed the large basement complete with TV, pool table and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has all the gourmet amenities and opens up to the dining room and relaxing screen porch. This house is super comfy and makes one feel right at home. We slept 7 easily, everyone having their privacy and space.
We found this part of the lake to be very quiet and secluded. We especially enjoyed the full moon reflecting on the lake, with the steam rising off it in the mornings. The gated community feels very secure, and the gas station and gourmet deli/store are nearby.
Another plus for us was the quick drive to Clemson...we arrived at our spot in about 40 minutes.
We will be back!!

AWESOME!! Our family rented this lake house for a long weekend and words can't describe it. It was completely furnished with everything we needed. The weather was great and the mornings and nights were cool so we were able to enjoy the screened in back porch that overlooked the lake. The water is absolutely beautiful. Some of our clan went canoeing and some "Cliff Diving" down at Fall Creek which was just a short distance from the house. We also enjoyed the pool a little while. We were able to see some deer as they grazed around the different houses. I highly recommend this house for families of any age. It accomodates all and has a very comfortable environment. It was a pleasure to work with the owner. We hope to be able to go back soon.

Wonderful Place

I rented this home for a bachelorette weekend. It was perfect and the accommodations were super. The home is fully equipped and sleeps 9-10 people. It has an entire finished basement which we didn't even use. The position on the lake was most ideal. I must have said 100 times to my friends how beautiful the lake was. It felt as though we were part of a movie set. The water was clear and in deeper areas it was a beautiful shade of jade. I give this home my highest recommendation as I foresee many more visits to this home!

This lake house was just wonderful for our young family: safe and friendly in a small gated neighborhood that was very secluded. Our children ( 2, 7 and 9) had a blast. We spent almost all our time in the water in the private cove that hosted a dock surrounded by beautiful water. We took the canoe and kayak out daily. The cove opened up into a large part of the lake that was easy to navigate and explore the nostalgic landscape. Our kids felt comfortable swimming off the dock and jumping off the "funstation" float that we blew up. Whenever we needed a break from the water, the lake house offered everything we needed to unwind; tv's, couches, movies, and all the comforts of home. We cooked on the grill each night and never looked at the clock. The kids enjoyed fishing and exploring for turtles and small wildlife. We saw some deer in the neighborhood very close to the house. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet that the lake house offered. We sat on the deck each night and took in the atmosphere. The lake offered healthy fun and let us enjoy each other's company.. Bringing food was a big plus but when we needed some items, the store was not too far away to get whatever was needed. We took advantage of the community pool and hot tub as well. We had our young dog with us and he experienced his first "doggie paddles" from the community boat ramp. If you want to get away from the world and reboot, this is the experience for you; comfortable, safe and fun. We loved every minute of it. The owner is great to work with too.
