This home is in good condition. The owner runs a tight ship. Everything was correct. We had a lovely time. We were there for R&R. It is quiet. Not for the party crowd. In past years we went to Panama City Florida. Now that is a noisy place.

The owner has the extras, beach chairs, big porch, beach towels, and beach toys. TV in 4 rooms. Well equip kitchen. Good value.

Lovely locations. You can see them catch your dinner on the water.

Galveston is interesting.(our first time there).

We will be back.

Great House, Great Landlords

We spent a month and were very impressed. The house was large and right on the beach. All the amenities you would expect (nice clean linens and towels, satelite TV, etc.) plus WIFI, coffee and filters, spices and paper products. James was very nice and prompt to answer any questions. We have already given his name and email address to friends so they can call when in Galveston. James and Cindy left a list of their favorite restaurants and we tried several of them and they were very good. We would also like to add La Tortuga on the Seawall. Many fun things to see: Bishop's Palace, Boat tour of the harbor, The Strand...be sure to go done to the piers and buy fresh fish to cook in the great kitchen at the house. All in all, a great place and a great time. Thanks James and Cindy.

Fun at the beach

We had a great time at your beach house! The view is amazing! It was very clean and there were lots of games to play and buckets and shovels for the beach. What else could you want?

I plan an annual beach trip for me and my two sisters (and a cousin and niece who have since joined our little vacation group) with the goal to simply walk the beach, pick up seashells and RELAX! I outdid myself this year. This beach house was FABULOUS! I'm trying to think where to even begin describing how comfortable we were at this location! I'm a planner...I brought things that I THOUGHT I would need, but I shouldn't have bothered; the home had absolutely everything we needed to make this year's vacation one of the best we've had since we started this 11 years ago! The home was affordable, easy to get to along a very pretty drive from the main area of Galveston, was RIGHT on the beach (a huge plus for beachcombers like us -- and the beaches were very clean in this area), had a shower outside where we could rinse the beach treasures we found (and our feet to keep the lovely home as clean as it was when we arrived), two full bathrooms (a must for a house full of women!), beach equipment, washer & dryer (which came in handy), beautiful gulf views from two bedrooms and the living room, comfortable bedding, soft/luxurious towels, each of us had our own sleeping space, plenty of closet space...okay, okay, you get the point...it was FABULOUS. We cooked several meals while we were there in a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, enjoyed our morning breakfast/coffee on the deck overlooking the gulf, and had easy access to town to shop, sightsee, and eat at some great local restaurants. Seriously, it could not have been any better! The owners were extremely easy to work with, very helpful and quick to respond to my correspondence. It was one of the easiest transactions I’ve had in booking a vacation rental. After staying here, the ladies and I have decided that we will now book a second trip each year and bring our husbands with us, so they too can enjoy such a fabulous beach house. I’m keeping this website and owners’ information in my contacts because I WILL be back! Thank you to the owners for making available such a wonderful, comfortable vacation home. We were very impressed! ?

A week is too short!

This home is the very top of the scale! It is furnished with every conceivable item (and then some)needed for a fabulous stay! With a perfect setting, steps away from the water, access to the pier on the bay from which to crab, fish, or enjoy a pool and restaurant, it provides something for everyone. The only draw-back is that one week is just not long enough!

My family enjoyed every minute of our stay and wants to return again next year!

Simply Wonderful!

The pictures do not do this home justice. We stayed here on a Thursday through Sunday in the busy season. It is located directly on a private beach, so there were no issues with being over-crowded on the beach, even during the busy summer months. We could watch our children from the deck. The rooms are spacious, the home is immaculate and is completely stocked with anything you may need. The owners are wonderful and easily accessible, though we had no problems. We will definitely be returning.

A family vacation

This was my families 3rd year to return to this house. We love it and make it ours. Sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee and watching the waves - couldn't get any better. It is so completely supplied with everything we could possibly think of. We just had to bring ourselves and food. The owner is very accomodating, always available if you have questions or concerns. We have always found the house clean and well-maintained. Until we outgrow this house, we will return. I would highly recommend this house. It's perfect!!

Fabulous

We had a fabulous week at this house. It had all the amenities we needed. The house was lovely and easy to use. We spent hours sitting out on the porch and enjoying the beautiful view. Although there are neighbors the house's location gives out a sense of privacy. The house is about 15 minutes from Galveston, so it gave us a chance to have quality family time away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. We house met everyone's needs, from the adults, seniors, teens, children, and even the one year old twins. Before we left we were already talking about coming back again.

Wonderful family get-a-way

The Home was lovely, plenty of room for 5 grown adults and 5 children:) We hadn't taken a vacation in years, Hubby has heart condition, we thought we'd love to have all the family together. The Grand babies love the sand and water, daughters had so much fun with the children, and Grannie and Papa got to sit on deck and watch all, How could it get any better:) Highly recommended!!!!! and I'm not sure if owners did this of some other renters , but the sand sculptures of the cross and sea turtle and mermaid were really special:) Thanks to who ever made them:)

"O' Ahu O'Makai"

We were very pleased with our stay at "O'Ahu O'Makai", in Galvestine. The description on the internet was very accurate and more. The place was very clean, well equipped and well maintained. The view from the living room, bedroom (2 of them) and deck was amazing. We loved hearing the ocean waves, so very relaxing. We were able to watch for dolphins swimming by in the morning. We grilled out once, flew kites, played in the sand, rented kayaks at Rick's rentals down the road and took them out in our beachfront place. We also visited an aquarium in town, built a huge sand castle at Treasure Island beach, walked or ran along the beach morning and night. Wonderful place. We only ate out once; definitely enjoyed having simple meals at home. If you are looking for a great place to get away and nice home to go to, we highly recommend this rental! The owners were very helpful with all our questions and are very trustworthy. Don't forget to watch the sunrise. What wonderful pictures we got with the ocean. Our family loved this vacation.

Galveston Beach-Family Getaway

This was the second time we have stayed at your Beach House and both times have been great. We found the house to be clean, well kept, and everything in the house worked perfectly. We even took advantage of your supply of beach accessories, including beach chairs, mats and "Space Shuttle Kite". Thanks again for a great place to stay.

A wonderful break from reality!

I desperately needed to "get away" for total and complete solitude. I could not have picked a more perfect or safe place. I had my coffee every morning watching the sun come up over the Gulf of Mexico. I spent the majority of my days on the deck reading and surfing the web. I strolled the beach and enjoyed talking with those I passed along the way. The house - oh I wish it was mine - was so clean. The owners were just wonderful. It was so easy to rent the house for the week. You are far enough west of Galveston so you can enjoy the quiet, but close enough to all the conveniences of the city. The most amazing thing to me was there was not a condo or hotel for miles. I was completely exhausted when I arrived and left totally revived. I would recommend this beach house for families, couples, or those just needing to get away. Suzy

Galveston Fun

This was a great place to stay - super clean and well supplied. We enjoyed the sunrise filling our bedroom with an orange glow every morning - what a treat! It's a great place to relax, so quiet on this end of the island, yet close enough to all of the activity of the island. There is plenty to do even in December. Miles of beautiful beach to walk. Incredible! We enjoyed the Galveston hospitality.

More Than we Expected

We stayed twice at this beautiful house on the beach for Labor Day weekend last and this year and we enjoy any minute. The location is perfect and the owners take such amazing care of their home. It is fully equipped with everything you may need. James is always professional, accurate and helpful. He even takes time to sent email to thank for taking good care of his house during our stay. My friends and I always enjoy spending time there.

Perfect Place for a Family Getaway!

My family and I stayed at this beach house absolutely loved it! The owners have taken such great care of this place and they supply you with pretty much everything you would ever need. Spacious home, large deck with an amazing sunrise view of the ocean and a private beach area. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the Seawall, but close enough to where it only takes a short drive to get there. The perfect amount of seclusion, in my opinion. We can't wait to stay there again sometime. I highly recommend this home to any family!

Family Fun

My family and I stayed at this wonderful house for our Summer Vacation. We range from 1 1/2 to 58 years old and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and comfortable with everything a family of 11 could need. We loved sitting on the covered balcony watching families of Dolphins swim by. The beach was clean and never crowded. Shopping was close. The views from the front to the Ocean and the back to the Bay were wonderful and uncluttered. We hope to do this again next summer.

We rented this beautiful beach home for our 2010 family vacation. It was like home away from home. This home has everything we needed for a week vacation. The views were awesome -- beach was not crowded -- no cars on the beach so we didn't have to worry about the kids. Grocery store is nearby, plenty of places to eat, if needed. We had a great time. Hope to do this again soon.

My husband rented this for my 30th birthday present. It was such a great place that we are hoping that we can arrange for another trip this summer. Your house is amazing! The views are spectacular! Your location is perfect for families. The house was very well taken care and had everything we needed. It is close enough to everything but far enough away that the beach doesn't become overcrowded. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
