Thanks Seth and Leigh for providing such great accommodations for our vacation. I just spent a week in this fun house with my six kids and everything went very well. It had everything we needed plus some. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There was plenty of room to spread out and also hang out by the pool. The hot tub was great after a long day at Universal Studios, which is just minutes away, and other great sights in the area. The location of the house is very centrally located and easily accessible to all the great spots in Hollywood.
Seth was very responsive to any of our needs and always responded quickly when I asked questions.
I highly recommend this house for a vacation!

Great in every way!

This place was perfect in every way. I was in town with a group of friends for a wedding and we decided a rental might be more fun than a hotel. We could not have been happier with that decision. Both houses were comfortable, clean and decorated with much more style than the average rental. Having two separate houses was great for our large group because it gave everyone enough space.

Seth was great to work with and was very responsive to all of our little questions when we arrived. He replied to my emails within five minutes every single time.

I highly recommend this place and wish we could go back soon!

After touring La Vegas and San Francisco followed by a 5 hour drive from SF we arrived in LA seeking a slower pace for our second week and Casa de Oro delivered. Located close to everything we wanted to experience and yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle this is a great base for staying in LA.

I worried slightly about the lack of reviews and whether or not the villa was as described and photographed. I needn't have worried, if anything it has even more character.

Everything we needed was provided, everything worked perfectly and the pool was heated to perfection. There's not much to add as the last couple of reviews have said it all before. Yes I would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of renting in LA and if I have the chance to go again I certainly would.

FABULOUS!...Everything You Could Ask For!

What can I say other than this house is beautiful!

Believe me the reviews below are not lying, I have recently returned from my stay at Casa De Oro with 7 of my girlfriends and I can say we were not disappointed!

After a 10 hour flight walking into the house felt like we were in a home of our own for the week- everything is so inviting from the books on the coffee table to three yes THREE bathrooms! (needed when there are 8 ladies to get ready)
Relaxing around the pool and the beautiful garden it was like we were in our own secret paradise.
Seth could not have been any more helpful and answered all my questions both in regards to the house and the surrounding area before and during our stay.

Melrose Ave is literally a stones throw away and both The Village Idiot (bar on the corner of Melrose & N.Martel) & Johnny Rockets are a must -even just to sit round the counter and sing from the jukebox (yes very touristy but so much fun!)

Thank you Seth, for your house was an amazing part of our trip never to be forgotten & hopefully one day to be returned to!

This property was everything I had hoped for. It was clean, well organised. It Has high end appliances and flat screens in every room! It is in an ideal location, literally 20 steps to melrose ave, great shops, restaurants, and cafes. And ten mins to holllywood and sunset bvld
The house has everything you could possibly need....
I am definitly going to book here again!!

I don't normally write on these review pages.However after staying here, I felt I must leave some comments about the Owners and their house to warn others!!

This house is actually toooooo "INCREDIBLY AMAZING" the danger is you dont want to leave at the end of your stay! The owners are so nice you feel you want to bring them home for Christmas. Seth and Leigh could not do enough for us. They were so so so so nice!!!! I have never experienced this kind of customer service in any part of the world that I have stayed.This house was simply top class!! It is so central to everywhere in L.A, yet still in a perfect area that's peaceful, that your not been woken up during the night.

To give you some back ground , we lived here for a month, and when I say we, I manage a Rock Band that has had 4 number #1 hits on the downloads charts in Ireland along with 3 top ten hits and a top Thirty in the physical sales. So there were 7 of us.Full Band & two managers.Yet still loads of room!

We came to L.A as we were recording our debut album with Grammy nominated producer to "Fleetwood Mac,"The Killers" etc etc We loved this house so much we decided to shoot half our latest music video in it!

When I seen this house on the net, I was dubious, "did it actually exist?" "it sounded too perfect!!" Well let me tell you it is perfect and it does exist! It made our trip perfect, we lived here for a month and it really felt like home. (by home I mean a better home than we have in Ireland, there are no outdoor heated pools here i can tell ya)

The pool is incredible, so hot! The Jacuzzi!! TOP CLASS!
Flat screen TVs in practically every room!! This house was just amazing! There was a cleaner in once a week, also pool cleaner in once a week, a news paper deliver everyday, a sound system that allowed you to play your music in to every room including the pool area! MTV cribs would have problems keeping up with this house.

It really was amazing. I would highly recommend this house to everyone, from the elderly, to young couples, families.This house is for any one that likes a beatiful place to stay in yet central

Perfect Vacation in LA!

Casa de Oro is beautiful, well-maintained and well located. My husband, two daughters and our nanny stayed here for a week, and we had plenty of space, enjoyed the pool and patio and just loved that we were very close to all parts of LA.

We were only 1/2 block from Blu Jam Cafe (best breakfast in LA) and very close to Pizzeria Mozza (Mario Batali's Pizza place).

The owners were very attentive and responsive to all of our questions. They even provided a pack n play and high chair for our baby.

We would highly recommend the property to anyone who wants to have a great time in LA!

Ideal Location in LA

We stayed here in April 2010. Our first visit to LA. The property is very clean, with everything you will need. It has two double bedrooms in the main house and an additional double bedroom in the annex.
The swimming pool was clean and warm. The wireless internet and plasma TV's were frequently used. Leigh and Seth were quick to respond to any questions we had. The location was perfect. We visited the local shops on many occasions. We would eat out most nights and were never disappointed. Our favourite was the "Village Idiot" for food, drinks and atmosphere( it is a 1 minute walk from the house). I would recommend this property for rental in LA.

Your own beach house, just off Melrose

This house has everything you could want from a holiday home. Leigh and Seth have catered for all the family. Our children loved all the plasma screens, the wireless internet connection and the ipod docking station which is linked up to a surround sound system which means you can listen to your favourite music while in the pool! I On the other hand I loved the washing machine, iron and tumble dryer (yes sad but true) I also loved all the personal touches like the little bunches of fresh flowers and the romantic candles for outside at night. Oh and the abundance of towels. The Los Angeles times was delivered every morning which kept my husband happy.
The maid comes mid week as does the pool guy. The water level in the pool had gone down one day, I emailed Leigh to let her know and 10 mins later she had sent someone to fix it. If you love to shop, as I do, this is the place for you. Really unique and trendy shops just round the corner. Walk further down the road and your in designer land. There's a real sense of Leigh and Seth,s character about this house which I liked. It wasn't cold and business like. Would I go back? In a heartbeat.

What a beautiful home! We loved everything about it including the wide open space and flow, the backyard, and most importantly the location! We were able to walk to a number of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and grocery stores. It took us less than 10 minutes to go everywhere.
The owner is also friendly and easygoing.We would love to stay here again for our next vacation.

The house is a perfect house for vacation, very well located. Every thing was great, we spent a wonderful time. Perfect for family with kids (Ideal for 2 families)
The house (guest house and main house) is decorated with a lot of taste. Pool, barbecue and equippement in the house are great.
Hotly recommanded for people who wants spend a good time.

Wonderful House

Had my family stay here while they were visiting me over the summer. There was plenty of room and the pool was wonderful. Everything was clean and tidy upon our arrival and you can tell the owners take very good care of the house.

Amazing rental

I rented Casa de Oro over New Years (2008) and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The house is just as it appears in the pictures. Amazing location just off busy area on Melrose, lots of food / retail in walking distance. Lots of space in the house and extremely well maintained. Fully setup kitchen is very handy, very nice tv room, and lots of sleeping space between the main house and pool house. The owners are very easy to work with, communicated openly and directly and were very nice and accessible to us before and after our stay. We had zero complaints and I would rent again in a heartbeat.
I did a lot of looking around los angeles (all areas) for rentals (we were a large group of 10+) and did not find anything as conveniently located that was as nice and reasonably priced. This was by far our best option (even moreso in retrospect).
The pool was clean and heated. Bathrooms were all clean and very nice. The owners also put together a helpful guidebook on the area. All around, a great experience and one I strongly recommend to anyone. I was generally skeptical because I had never rented over a vacation site before, but this was a very comforting experience.

Hidden Treasure in Los Angeles

My twin brother and I celebrated our 30th Birthday party in Los Angeles, and Casa de Oro was the perfect accommodation for our guests from out of town. The house is centrally located, steps away from the hip shops of Melrose and within a 10 minute drive to locations in Hollywood and Santa Monica. The house also served as a great meeting place before our activities.

The interior decorations were definitely a pleasant surprise, noted by all guests and gave the place a homelike feel. The house was well maintained and came equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay (cooking equipment, abundant clean sheets and towels, cable, and a great pool to relax by and read a book).

The owners were great to work with from the moment I contacted them through the end of our stay. They were extremely responsive to all my questions and concerns.

I wholeheartedly recommend Casa De Oro. The value you get for the money you spend beats any deal you could find with a Westside hotel.

As described, only better! Location was ideal, right around the corner from Melrose with shopping and restaurants. The pool and villa is gorgeous. Main house is equipped with everything one would need. We were pleasantly surprised with an herb garden and lime tree by the villa. Our family had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Casa de Oro.

This has to be the best holiday home we have stayed in. It was extremely well presented, well equipped and a highly maintained property. The pool area was fantastic, from the BBQ, to picking fresh tomatoes in the garden area. A good location with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Highly recommended!!

SPECTACULAR!

What a gem! LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! In the heart of West Hollywood, next to wonderful shopping and restaurants. This home has everything and more. From fresh fruit and water to comfy sheets and towels. The pool is a perfect, private oasis and the guest house is the cutest cabana. We didn't want to leave even though we had tons of plans to tour the area. We also brought our pet poodles and they loved it. It is an AMAZING pet friendly home. We can't wait to come back!
