Home was just as pictured and well maintained and very clean. Definitely not located near beach access, but with all the public beach parking and access not a problem. Probably would not work for a family with smaller kids that need to haul everything but the kitchen sink to beach, was nice get-a-way for us with teenage kids. Owner was very accommodating, would definitively rent again
Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers

We rented this home on short notice - owner was amazing and very helpful! Such a lovely home, had everything we needed! We had a blast and look forward to renting it again.
Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

This property was as advertised. It was clean, well maintained and in a great location - five blocks from the new Oak Island bridge in a quiet neighborhood. Linens were provided but not paper products so bring paper towels, napkins, etc as well as personal products such as shampoo and shower soap. There was also no charcoal or lighter fluid so if you plan on using the grill, you will have to purchase these items. The bedrooms are large and well furnished and the bathrooms - one of which is on-suite in the master bedroom - are a good size. There is a Food Lion on the island as well as several good restaurants and beach stores and numerous public beach access areas with parking. You can walk to the beach from this home but if you have equipment, you may want to drive.

The only thing about the house that I would say needed updating is the furniture in the living room area is not in great shape. The house was very clean other than that and it was a very positive experience. The beach was easy to access and the screened in proch was great.

The house was wonderful, very clean with everything you might need to be at home away from home. Close to the beach and the beach store. Screened in porch was a life saver from the bugs. Will def be back to visit soon!
