Overall we enjoyed our stay at this home. The view was awesome and the house is nicely laid out.
The downside was the very busy road just in front of the house, non stop traffic. Also the home was not very clean, spider webs on many of the light fixtures and windows, and the outside yard has been let go.
Recommended for: pet-friendly

Nice Rental with Beautiful View

This was a nice rental. The home was in good condition. Rooms had everything we needed for the long weekend. The location was good, close to town with a beautiful view. The road was quiet at night. The state park was close by and the town was nice to wonder around. Also, the outdoor fire pit was a really nice touch! Bring paper products and dish soap as there was only a small quantity onsite. Although there was a bar eating area, we were disappointed to find there was no kitchen or dining table. We did not use the BBQ as it did not appear to be in good condition. Overall, we were pleased with this rental and the surrounding area.

Wasn't what we expected

The property has a beautiful view, it ends there. The amenities were not there,
no BBQ, garbage spilling over outside from previous renters. Refrigerator and cupboards were filled with previous renters food. Kitchen sink and appliances were not clean. Road noise outside made visiting difficult. We lived close enough to get our own BBQ from home. We got locked out of the upstairs bedroom, no key. Again we went home for a ladder to gain access to our bedroom.

We are sorry for this guests complaint, we of course offer to do what we can to make each guest pleased.
The cleaning lady visited this guest to manage their initial garbage complaint. The garbage is a weekly service in this area, and is/was scheduled to be picked up, on schedule, that Friday. The garbage and recycling for the home is on the road, far from the home.
This guest 'locked themselves out' of a bedroom a key was provided once they notified cleaning lady they had mishandled the bedroom lock.
We always send the cleaning lady, who lives on the same block, immediately if there is a guest issue. In this instance she met with this guest and after the initial garbage pick up was explained, and she asked them if there was ANYTHING else she could do for them, and they said all was good...

Lovely Bayside Home

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely bayside Lindal cedar home. Watched spectacular sunsets from the large patio with its incredible fire pit. Views from inside the house are just as wonderful through the great room floor to ceiling windows that face the bay. Easy access to golfing, shopping and seaside adventures. Very functional home with large bedrooms and comfy beds. We'll come again.

Thank you very much for the use of your lovely chalet. Sunsets by the fire pit were breathtaking. So enjoyed visiting and playing cards in your great room. A lovely home and a great area from which to golf, sight see and shop.

severely disappointed

This was NOT the relaxing getaway that we had expected.
There was NO KEY for 4 hours after our agreed upon time. We had taken time off work to get there early in the day and we had 3 tired and fussy babies who we had to deal with until 8 pm!
The house was not clean. Some of the beds didn't even have clean sheets on them! Nor were there enough towels. The house had not been vacuumed. We have not received the promised refund.
All in all this has been a very disappointing

There was no key because there is a key pad/keyless entry with a pass code.
We have a cleaning company on the same road, which if there is ever a complaint or issue on guest check in, responds same day, this guest never expressed the home was not clean.
We are sorry this guest did no enjoy there stay and have taken their complaint to help us do better, as we have the 30 other guests this year, all very pleased.

Magificent Views, Peaceful Sanctuary

What a beautiful "get away from the world" kind of place. The magificent sunset and sunrise views, the bird songs, the ebbing and flowing tides...all well worth the stay....but that's not all. This beautiful, peaceful cozy home is so welcoming, we can't wait to come back. Luxurious amenities in a lovely location
all make this chalet a great escape. The well equipped kitchen provides everything you need to whip up gourmet feasts to enjoy in front of the fireplace. Golf and the spa at Semiahmoo Resort are just minutes away but it's hard to leave this lovely home. Many thanks to the owner for sharing it with lucky travellers.
