We loved this rental. It is located on a beautiful bay and has a wonderful view of Flathead Lake. The house was very clean and we felt very comfortable there with plenty of room. The woodwork and beamed ceilings were gorgeous. There were plenty of linens and towels supplied. The oven did not work which wasn't a problem for us as we had no intention of doing any major cooking. The staff said that would be fixed soon. Danae made sure we had a BBQ Grill and was available if we needed anything else. The kitchen and deck area are rather small but adequate for our needs. Who wants to stay in the kitchen??
The neighbors have a very large Bull Mastiff who was super friendly and sweet. We enjoyed his occasional visits.
The only drawback is it has quite a hike down to the lake and the dock area. Once you get there, the water is incredibly clean and there is a nice area for fishing off the dock and swimming with supervison of small children. It is very quiet there at night and we all enjoyed the evenings with the full moon shining on the lake.
The Somers Cafe just a few minutes down route 93 (in the town of Somers) is a great place to eat as is Tamarack which is a micro-brewery in Lakeside.
We enjoyed the Huckleberry festival in Swan Lake, but it wasn't as large as we had expected. Big Fork is a very pictuesque town situated on the Swan River. There are many small shops and some interesting looking restaurants. Too bad we didn't have more time to explore there.

Rock skipping and rock painting. Kayaks on windy waves, much swimming. Hummingbirds entertained us. Baby cottontails and baby chipmunks close by. Much hiking. Wonderful week! Relaxing.
