We had a wonderful time. The property is in perfect condition and the view is absolutely amazing. You can hear the waves hitting shore from all rooms in the house. The locals are very nice - we walked the beach and met several lovely people walking their dogs etc.

The Main Beach is a short walk away. We walked to all the restaurants, bars, and stores.

Everything to do within walking distance.

If you want to drive we also went to Disney and Long Beach. There's just so much to do.

Our host was very nice. We requested additional sheets very late the first night and the next morning she was there with the sheets.

Weekend in Laguna

We had a great weekend in Laguna beach. It was the perfect place to celebrate our marriage anniversary. We especially enjoyed watching the seals and dolphins from the living room window. We would highly recommend this house. The bathroom is a little small so it might be tight for a larger person, but it worked fine for us. Thanks for a great weekend!

Really well set up cottage in a stunning location over-looking the waves. We were the envy of all the people climbing the steps from the beach heading for home sat on the patio enjoying a beer and the view. Perfect for trips to Disney which is only 30 mins away and San Juan Capistrano, where there is a beautiful old Mission. But the beach is the star attraction. Hope to be back one day

Great for small groups, couples, and families!

The pictures show the property really really well. Location is amazing! Views are close to perfect, and the sound of the waves crashing all night is one of the best things about the villas (or at least 2 of 3 Villas).

Having stayed in Laguna Beach several times I happen to walk by this property in Feb 2012. As I was commenting on the house & the set up of each villa I quickly realized this was not a personal residence, but more of a vacation rental. I snapped a pic of the sign, knowing it looked great first hand for groups of friends or families who are looking for a relaxing southern california beach vacation. (This is exactly what my group loves to do!)

Then came the price. While a little on the high side, I will say we spent almost nothing elsewhere (except food/groceries, and beverages from the store) as we bbq 'd, sat around in the courtyard, and spent the day down at the beach (50 steps away).... All in, for 3 nights (off season/March) Thursday - Sunday we paid (i was just informed by vrbo that we r not allowed to share) taxs, cleaning, etc.... There are 6 really nice rooms, then 3 pullout couches. 6-8 couples is perfect, but you could fit a couple more people, but I dont recommend it. It gets a little tight with 15 in any one villa at once.

The only only only complaint I (and our other guests had) was that there is not HD TV in the Main Villa. We were there during March Madness and all the guys were struggling....but the 120 Cress does have the best TV View set up anyways. I did speak to the property manager upon check out and she was very receptive to my comments.

Otherwise you will not find a better place to stay for the price (but I wish it was just a little lower) in Southern California. Living in San Diego and having stayed all up and down the CA coast this was just one of the better trips I have ever had. And all I did on this vacation was spend time with friends at one of the best rentals we have all ever stayed in. The quality, style, and everything about the Villas was great!

I plan a lot of these trips for my friends and this was the 1st time everyone personally thanked me and informed me how awesome the place was....and some people even thanked me twice.

Beautiful spot, but needs numerous minor maintenance tasks

Great location. Beautiful view, kitchen, bedrooms, fireplaces. Description and photos are accurate.
Property was clean; however, it needs several maintenance tasks, including:
1. fix wifi--not working, and your agent could not solve this substantial problem. This is why you don't rate an excellent.
2. fix screens--many are disconnected from window frames
3. tablespoon measure is missing
4. fix heater remote control holster in LR--it came out of the wall on first unholstering
5. dishwasher and laundry detergent should be furnished
6. needs more than 3 coffee mugs--how about 8.
7. An up-to-date guide to Laguna Beach would be welcome, as would a better map of surrounding attractions and roads.
Altogether, I'd recommend it, with the owner's assurance that the minor maintenance items have been addressed.

This is the second time we stayed here, and continue to love every visit. The property is well maintained and centrally located. Excellent beach/ocean views and extremely close proximity to the beach. This was extremely helpful as we have 2 year old twins and a 6 year old and it was nice to not have to walk too far to the beach. We are already planning our trip next year. Thanks again!!

Top Notch Oceanfront Laguna Beach Accommodation with Gorgeous View!

My Wife, Son and I stayed at 120 Cress Point from Tuesday, June 12 until Saturday, June 16, 2012. The accommodation is exactly as advertised. The location is at the end of a cul de sac on Cress Street in beautiful Laguna Beach, on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The views from this rental are sublime and unobstructed, both from the outside patio and from inside the living room. We enjoyed sitting on the patio by our gas firepit with drinks in hand overlooking the waves crashing below. The inside of this rental is in excellent condition, with leather couches, very comfortable beds with high end linens, a very nice bathroom and top notch galley kitchen, complete with Kitchen Aid washer and dryer. We could not have asked for more.

The location of the rental in relationship to the town could not be better. You can walk to so many restaurants, shops, galleries, etc. that you can park the car in the assigned garage and leave it there during your stay. The unit has wireless internet access, so my Wife with her iPad and my Son with his laptop were quite content.

My Son and I enjoyed going down the steps right outside of our door down to the beach below. Watching the waves slam into the rocks is really something to behold! You can take a nice long walk along that beach and see the beautiful homes overlooking the ocean. Loads of joggers, owners with their dogs and kind people along the way. Just gorgeous and relaxing!!!

By way of observation, and not criticism, the end of that street is a popular place for others seeking ocean views to pull up and take photos throughout the day. There is a bench out there, so some folks like to sit for a while and talk while taking in the views. This was not a big deal for us, but some might find it annoying. One should also be aware that there are two restaurants just up the block, one of which is El Ranchito, an excellent Mexican restaurant with the BEST guacamole I have ever had in my 51 years! Both of those restaurants get deliveries throughout the day, so be aware that the trucks have nowhere to park, so they tend to pull up in the cul de sac, make their deliveries, and leave. Some days are busier than others, so just be aware. A small price to pay for the superlative accommodations and stunning location.

Overall, we found our visit a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to book this high end, gorgeous rental again. Thanks for a great stay!

Well Worth Renting!

Me, my wife and my two kids stayed at this rental in May. Breathtaking views, can hear the ocean waves all day and night. Fire pit and barbecue was just unbelievable. Seeing the dolphins in the ocean, from the house patio, who can say no to that? The house was so clean and the beds and all furnishings in the this rental were very high end, not the typical " run of the mill" rental, very well maintained and managed. They even had a computer and also offered wireless. Washer & dryer in house was a bonus, having TV + DVD in every room was a plus. Kids would wake up and go down to the ocean and we would watch them from the patio sipping our coffee. We walked to the main beach on the sand, pretty close, still the rental was close to everything. The owner and the staff were extremely nice. We even made friends with the guests that were staying next door and hung out together. This rental is amazing and best value for the money!

Could be better run

First, the positives.....view is absolutely breathtaking from the living room. Very nice outside area with gas fire pit that we enjoyed nightly. Interior is nicely updated and they have done the most possible with the space. Bedrooms are somewhat cramped with the queen sized beds taking up most of the floor space.
Upon arrival, we were informed the oven was not functioning because it wasn't connected and asked "if not having an oven for a day or 2 was a problem"? Not exactly what we wanted to be greeted with, not to mention having to deal with workmen coming in to take care of it during our lunch the next day. Then, the AC wouldn't stay on, so another repairman was sent out for that. It was not fixed at all during our stay, and while they did offer to take $50 off per each night of our stay, we thought that was a bit low to compensate for not having AC for the entire week AND having to worry about repairmen being in the unit with our stuff, going in and out and leaving it unlocked. We were told that we were free to pack up and go elsewhere, as if we would want to waste a day of our vacation by hunting for something comparable to what we already had. They pointed out that, "Well, the repairman just charged us $600 just for the afternoon he was there, and it's not even fixed yet." Not our problem, this is what you deal with when you own rental property....it's called maintenance! We were paying to relax and get away from it all and they dampened that a bit by not having a fully functional unit available to us. That being said, why are renters so hard on everything? That is why they had to get a new stove and the delay in it being hooked up. The previous people broke it. I don't understand that. I always feel we leave places nicer than when we got there!

Lovely property located adjacent to the Cress Beach in Laguna. The property's amenities include outdoor fire pits that are a pleasure to enjoy in the evenings, as well as a great floor plan that worked well for our family of five, with three teens. We could send our teens out to the beach or along PCH to enjoy all that Laguna has to offer. We loved our time there.

My friends and I stayed at Cress Point last May and we couldn't have had a better experience. The location was absolutely perfect, so close to the ocean and just close enough to Laguna's main end. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the owner was extremely helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. There is a great Mexican restuarant steps away that we visted quite often, as well as several other great eats all along the Coast Highway. Highlights were definately the fires during cooler nights, and eating breakfast outside by the ocean in the morning. And if you wake up early enough, you may even see a pod of dolphins swimming by! We hope to come back to Laguna Beach soon

Amazing Ocean View Vacation Rental called Cress Point - Paradise

My family and I stayed here in December 2011. What an amazing ocean view from the Living Room, Dining and the patio which ends almost at the ocean. Sitting in the patio, and sipping coffee looking at the dolphins swim by, felt like a dream. Kids went down to the ocean any time they want since it was right outside the rental gate, didn't have to watch them. The owner and the designer have assigned everything in the rental beyond nice, it is a luxury at an affordable price, we were able to walk everywhere and ended up returning the rental car, all the stores were within walking distance. I will defintely looking forward to coming back to this place again

We had a fabulous family vacation, spent most of the time just @ the beach. At the beach we saw an osprey, crabs and many dolphins. The house was beautiful and comfortable and we hope to be able to return

We Will Definitley Miss This Beach House

My family had the most wonderful time staying here in Laguna Beach. We spent every day playing at the beach - either surfing, snorkeling, swimming, boggie boarding or just laying on the sand and suntanning. After a long day at the beach, my dad usually BBQ'd up some cheese burgers while the rest of my famiy watched the sunset. We will defintely miss this beach house, that we have been able to call “home” for the past week. Thanks for everything.

My husband and I came here as a seventhy anniversary gift to ourselves. It was a perfect hidaway for us. We enjoyed long walks down the PCH, experiencing the many shops, restaurants and galleries Laguna has to offer. It was great to take walks along the beaches and we loved sitting out by the firepit in the evenings.

We hope to be able to visit again next year.

We rented Cress Point this summer. Gorgeous view, beautifully furnished villa, we had a great time. Even steps down to the beach were good for daily exercise.

We stayed a week in heaven! We come to Laguna Beach often and this was the best trip ever. Love this beach house, the view, the beach. I am a kitchen and bath designer and this house is 1st class all the way. My daughter, her friend and I had a wonderful week, will miss it.

Vacation Place for a Life Time

This is the vacation place of a life time. Cress Point has all the comforts of a home, with ultimate luxury and attention to detail. I could hardly believe that we could hear the surf without opening the windows. The location is convenient to everything. We parked the car and walked everywhere. You will never have a more enjoyable stay.
