Great Family Getaway!

Review submitted: December 18, 2013   Date of arrival: September 2, 2013

Very cozy and family oriented property. It was close enough to all the attractions in Pigeon Forge yet secluded enough for a quiet relaxing escape. It is at the tallest part of the mountain from what I could gather as we drove around. Great view from the porch. The outdoor pool was nice and we had it all to ourselves. We even brought two of our pets which made it feel more at home having them along with us for our vacation. Few minor things like toilet in one of the bathrooms was leaking at the base and once I notified owner he came out next day and did a temporary fix. Like anything else out of anyones control A/C went out on our last night there. Luckily my husband is HVAC trained and was able to temporarily get it on for the night. First thing following morning the owner had a technician out to fix it properly. The owners were very friendly and on top of getting any issues resolved right away!! It was a GREAT experience and we are already planning our next vacation. Depending on when we can find time off we will hopefully be back here in the near future!

Gods Mountain

Review submitted: November 17, 2013   Date of arrival: September 23, 2013

What a climb, right at the top, great level parking, awesome views from porch. Very clean, spacious, game room a hit for us adults. Hot tub enjoyable. Nice to have some meals in. Very relaxing and weather was great. Love the mountain views, did not get to see any bears though. Enough space for 2 couples or a small family. Enjoyed visiting Goats on the Roof and the new Island area with the sky wheel, that's a great ride for the price. Always good restaurants and great service in the Pigeon Forge area, and of course the wonderful shopping. Thank you so much for our great vacation stay from your fellow Canadians.

Owners response: Oh Yes... Goat's on the roof every one has to see this we also loved it ... It is a new attraction this Year and the Sky Wheel is also new on the island ...Two GREAT attraction's...There is so much to do and see in the Beautiful Smoky Mountain's...you will never get bored ...There is a BIG bear in the resort not everyone gets to see him only the few he select's ...LOL....

Great mini-vacation in the mountains. A long way up to the cabin, and steep when you where on a motorcycle, but we managed!! Cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. Thanks to Tom and Lois for making our stay comfortable, and memorable. We loved the hot-tub in the eve with a glass of wine and the stars!!

It does "got it all ya'll!"

Review submitted: November 13, 2013   Date of arrival: October 13, 2013

Cabin was beautiful inside and out. It had everything needed to make you feel comfortable and at home. My children (ages 14, 10 & 8) enjoyed the loft w/pool table and air hockey. We also enjoyed the 24 hour indoor pool access (outdoor pool was closed). The hot tub was nice and sitting out on the porch was very peaceful. We did not need to use the fireplace due to fairly warm temps. The cabins are pretty close together. This particular cabin seems to be at the very top! Tom (the owner) was very accommodating and even called to check on us after we were there a few days. My only warning would be to tell you that the walls/ceilings are VERY thin throughout. When the children were upstairs playing pool/air hockey it very much sounded like someone was crashing through the ceiling. And while sitting on the porch you could easily hear conversations (and/or TV) from inside. Also, we did find a few things (likely left behind by the past visitor) that were not disposed of by the cleaning crew. I was a little disappointed about that (otherwise I would have given 5 stars). However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay there again. As far as attractions go...we visited the Ripley's Aquarium which was enjoyable. A little small and slightly pricey though. There is a mexican restaurant across the street named No Way Jose's where we stopped for lunch...it was AMAZING! We went to Cooter's Place and rode go-karts and played mini golf. Although there are presumably far better places to go and do such in Pigeon Forge. We splurged on the Hatfield-McCoy dinner show and I must say it was the favorite part of our trip. Great Great Show! Tanger Outlet shops were PACKED and over priced (was not impressed at all). Loved walking through Gatlinburg. Stopped at the Ole Smoky Mountain Moonshine Distillery for some souvenirs ;) Ate at Fudruckers one day for lunch. It was good, but pricey for a burger joint. We intended on eating at the Mellow Mushroom until we saw their pizza prices. The apple barn is delish. And Flapjacks is great too! There are a lot of things to do and see. Obviously we weren't able to do it all in one trip. Looking forward to coming down again. Thanks Tom for renting your cabin out to us for our family vacation.

Very Nice Stay With Mountain Top Views!

Review submitted: November 12, 2013   Date of arrival: September 6, 2013

The cabin was beautiful inside and outside with up to date decor. We loved the wrap-around deck with hot-tub and gas grill. I and my 16 year old son enjoyed playing games on the pool table and air hockey machine upstairs. The only discreptancy was a complaint from my son that the Wi-Fi was very slow and barely worked his laptop. Also, the back room that he stayed in had an out of date TV and the cable connection on the back of the TV was broken and barely held the cable which gave him bad reception on the tv and we couldn't get the remotes for it to work on it properly to change to channels that he wanted to watch. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice view, Clean cabin, everything works.

Review submitted: November 12, 2013   Date of arrival: October 30, 2013

Had a wonderful stay. Nice to finally get a cabin that all the appliances work and the hot tub is not over chlorinated to the point where a brunette enters and exits as a blond. Only complaint which is beyond the control of the owner is the party next door that went all night celebrating someone's 21st birthday. However the following morning I took great pleasure in waking the remaining members of the party at the crack of dawn to express my appreciation and wish the birthday boy a happy birthday.

We where so impressed with this rental

Review submitted: September 22, 2013   Date of arrival: September 15, 2013

We came from Canada on our motorcycles for a mini holiday in Tennessee. We had booked the cabin last Dec., and Tom and Lois where great to work with. Customer service was very good.
The cabin was everything that the description indicated. The only thing we where a little surprized about was how steep it was up to the cabin, (only because we where on Harleys!!) so therefore had to plan our day trips to be back by dark.
Cabin was clean and lovely, view spectacular !
We enjoyed an afternoon performance at The Majestic Theatre for the Motown Show....we sang and danced and had a great time. The shuttle bus between Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gattlenburg, was a real plus, for shopping. Travelling through the Smokey Mountains was awesome

Thoroughly Impressed!!

Review submitted: September 16, 2013   Date of arrival: August 17, 2013

Our Smoky Mountain vacation was the best!! The cabin was well maintained and very clean. Our boys (8 & 10 years old) really enjoyed the upstairs game area. We even got to see a bear during our stay!!! The owners were only a phone call or email away if needed and quickly responded to any requests. During our visit we stopped at Wonderworks enjoying the facility and a magic show later in the evening, Nascar Racepark, white water rafting, MagiQuest, Hollywood Wax Museum & Tower of Chaos to name a few. The weather was rainy on & off, so it was indoor activites most of the time. We also brought our dogs on their first family vacation. They seemed to love it as much as we did. The only inconvenience with that was that there wasn't much of a grassy area for them to "do their business" and for the grass that was available, people didn't pick up after their pets. We would still recommend this cabin to family as friends as there is a lot to do in the area. If you don't want to leave the development, there is mini golf and indoor/outdoor pools to enjoy. Thanks Tom & Lois for a great vacation!!!!

Beautiful Vacation Spot

Review submitted: July 30, 2013   Date of arrival: July 27, 2013

Thank you so much for making my son's 14th Birthday memorable by accommodating us with such a beautiful, well kept place to stay. I loved that you rent your cabin without a 2nite minimum. We brought my son and 3 of his friends to Pigeon Forge for the day/night. We started his celebration out with Nascar Speedpark until time to check-in. The boys immediately began enjoying the upstairs loft/game room and didn't come down until pizza delivery. Your cabin is very well maintained and is perfectly located in a beautiful area with wonderful amenities. Also, we were very pleased with your cabin location (wasn't cabin among cabin feel). We love Pigeon Forge and tend to visit at least 3 times a year. So glad we found your rental through VRBO and will definitely look forward to booking with you again in the near future. God Bless and Thank You Again for such a pleasant overnight stay!

LOVED LOVED LOVED it!

Review submitted: July 30, 2013   Date of arrival: July 17, 2013

We loved staying at this wonderful place. Everything was so very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hot tub over the mtns was heaven. Spent every morning with my coffee out on the deck enjoying the awesome view. We had 6 in our group. Ranging from age 65 down to 16 and a wonderful time had by all. It was very convenient to get into town and the attractions if you want to do that. We are foodie people and enjoyed doing some cooking and grilling at the cabin. Too many games of pool to count. The owners were very wonderful to work with. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend to others. Only thing I would mention is there are full bathrooms and only way to get to them is through either of the bathrooms. So if you have people sleeping up in the loft, and they need to use the bathroom at night they have to go into the bedroom to use it. Not that big of a deal when we were all family. Just a note to others who may not be staying with family or close friends.

Great Vacation

Review submitted: July 30, 2013   Date of arrival: July 21, 2013

The house was very nice, clean and had a cozy feeling. Our children enjoyed the game room and we enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. We spent one day at the pool and played Mini Golf, the outdoor pool was nice, but I don't like indoor pools so we did not use it. The only down fall was the hot water going out on Monday and not working again until Tuesday, but the owner did call someone right away to get it fixed. At any rate cold showers are no fun. Would stay again.

My family was really impressed with this cabin. It was very clean and well stocked. The view from the back porch is perfect for your morning cup of coffee. The owner even called to check on us and that means a lot in my book. We hope to be staying here again in the future.

Owners response: We try hard to make sure our guest is satisfied with their stay at all of our cabins...We know that every one works hard for their money and are so thankful that they have choose to stay with us ....We wont all our guest to be return guest and come back to the BEAUTIFUL Smoky Mountains...There is nothing that makes me happier than a guest saying i have stayed with you before and i wont to come back for my next vacation...May GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!......

Bear Creek Crossing is a great resort!

Review submitted: June 5, 2013   Date of arrival: May 25, 2013

The cabin is great! We had 4 adults and 1 child and the cabin was perfect for us. Since we've stayed in the Bear Creek Crossing Resort before we were familiar with the amenities, etc. It was good to see they are repairing the mini putt- putt golf course. We were unable to play because of the debris and the fact there wasn't any green on the course. My 6 year old grandaughter was looking forward to playing but she wasn't able to do that. She did enjoy the pool, though. The cabin does need an upgrade on kitchen accessories/dishes and the ice machine needs to be fixed on the refrigerator (which we weren't aware of until arrival). The jacuzzi tub faucet leaked - hopefully that has been repaired, too. Honestly, the cabin was perfect for us.....just needed some things repaired before we arrived. We will rent again!

Owners response: We love getting feedback on our vacation rental that way we know what our guest like or disliked about staying at our cabin.. We had a repairman set up to fix the ice maker as we did not know it was not working until the day of our guest arrival.. The facet in the Jacuzzi started leaking while the guest was there and we was notified by the cleaners when they went in to clean for the next guest that we had a problem . . It has been repaired.. I use Corelle dish's in all my rental cabins because of the smaller children breaking the dishes and maybe getting hurt...We try to put safety first for our small guest's...As far as the Putt Putt golf course I was not notified by the HOA that there was going to be repair work done or I would have notified the guest that work was being planned and that it would not be available for them to use...Rest assured everything has been addressed and repaired ...We wont your vacation to be the best that we can make it for you and your family...

Great Getaway

Review submitted: August 29, 2012   Date of arrival: August 22, 2012

The resort community was attractive and the cabin was perfect, everything advertised and more. We were especially impressed with the bear theme decorating throughout the cabin, very well done. The cabin was exceptionnaly clean, well maintained, very comfortable and everything worked. The view from the top of the hill was excellent and with the cool breeze it was very relaxing, just what we wanted. We had an especially exciting time one night when the neighborhood bear decided to come around for a visit. The owners were extremely helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be going back, maybe soon.

We had a great time in the cabin. It was clean and ready to go . We were surprised that it had an electric fry pan, crock pot and Foreman type grill in addition to the outside propane grill. The pools were clean although I would have liked better lighting and ventilation in the indoor pool building. Thanks for living up to your billing.

Comfortable and Attractive Cabin

Review submitted: June 3, 2012   Date of arrival: May 25, 2012

We enjoyed our stay here. Really liked the porch rockers and view of the mountains on the back porch. The kids enjoyed playing air hockey. The Bear decor was a nice touch. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are only accessible from the bedrooms, so those staying in the loft have to come downstairs and into a bedroom to use a bathroom. Otherwise a comfortable, nice property to rent for all that Pigeon Forge has to offer.

Easter Weekend

Review submitted: May 22, 2012   Date of arrival: April 6, 2012

We had a wonderful experience at your cabin. It was clean, pet friendly, the price was reasonable, and everything was in working order. The listing description and photos were accurate. The neighbors were quiet and everyone seemed very friendly. There was plenty to do and the kids were entertained with the pool table, air hockey, and movies. The night of our arrival we went to The Blue Moose for the best wings ever! The serving staff were personable. We went to the Nascar Speedway the following day. Plan to spend the entire day there. The food was pricey but the carts were fun and the kids loved it.The rest of the weekend we spent in the cabin just relaxing on the back deck and enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains. You are definitely as high as the treetops which is great for birdwatchers. I took a close up picture of a cardinal! We would definitely come back. It's been about 6 weeks since we've been there and the kids are still talking about how much fun they had in Pigeon Forge. Thanks for sharing your cabin on the mountain!

2020, what an address for a quiet hideaway atop Bear Creek Crossing Resort with a 270 degree view! New, clean, beautiful decor, comfortable furniture, two hot tubs--one inside, one on the deck-- and ample amenities made our stay so very enjoyable that we found we never had to leave the area until time to pack up. This property was all it claimed to be and more. As a writer, I was especially grateful for high speed internet even in the beautiful Smoky Mountains

Fantastic!

Review submitted: March 26, 2012   Date of arrival: February 10, 2012

My family loved the cabin. We had plenty of room and the cabin was very clean. My children had a blast in the loft which had a great library of movies and play station games, a pool table, and an air hockey table. The cabin was very close to the attractions and restaurants in Pigeon Forge and I felt safe knowing that the cabin was in a gated community. Tom was only a phone call away when I got lost trying to find the cabin number in the dark. I appreciate him for being so involved with his property and so willing to help out late on a Friday night! I cannot think of anything I would have changed about the cabin. It was wonderful and my children are already planning our trip for next year. Thank you again!

Beautiful place!

Review submitted: March 23, 2012   Date of arrival: March 18, 2012

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our party of 4. I took my 10 yr old son and my friend took her 13 yr old grandson and there was plenty of space for all of us. We loved, loved, loved the hot tub and tried to use it as much as possible. The beds were comfortable and loved that they were king sized. Not as soft as mine at home but good for a rental. There didn't seem to be a lot of insulation from the noise. We could hear through the walls pretty easily but it didn't take away from our stay at all. We couldn't find a hair dryer and for 2 women with lots of hair that was kind of a drag. Was thankful for the fan we found in the closet and just sat in front of it. lol. The ice machine didn't work or we just couldn't figure it out. The indoor pool was a drive and not a walk away like I'd hoped. None of this took away from our vacation though. We were so sad to leave and really loved that place and thought it was well worth the money...very clean and nice place to stay and we would stay there again! Robin-Seymour, IN

Thank you so much for the use of your cabin. It was awesome and we had a wonderful time especially with the bear that visited right off the front porch!

We have recommended your cabin to two couples that are considering that area for the fall colors. We certainly do miss our morning coffee out on the back porch.

It was a very peaceful and relaxing vacation. Thanks again.

LeRoy, Lois my family and in-laws have taken alot of vacations together over the past six years and there was none more enjoyable than staying at the retreat. I only wish we would have spent all six days at the cabin instead of staying in Atlanta for three days. Three days isn't enough to take in all of the fascinating things to do. We had an awesome time. Went to Dollywood and took in the shows, this was far better than any Six Flags or Adventureland trip. We took my wifes parents along whom are in there 70's and they really enjoyed the time as well, there aren't many opportunities for them to go anywhere unless we take them with us. We all had a very good time, relaxing, peaceful and most of all the view was extrodinary. We got up early in the morning and sat out on the back deck looking at the mountains. We look forward to a return visit in July 2012. This time around I'll have the grandkids with us. Would the same cabin be available or a three bedroom at the top of the mountain. Not sure if you plan this far out or not, but we would sure like to come back to the same spot in 2012.
Once again everything beautiful and well managed.

The arrangment and decorations of the cabin were absolutely beautiful and had a comfortable invitation of home. We had a blast playing air hockey and pool. We would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to go on a relaxing vacation. The only thing we did not like was that we could not stay longer.
