This house was perfect! The house feels much bigger in person than the pictures suggest, which was a great surprise! We had a group of 8 and it accommodated us very well. The deck is also huge and it was nice to have breakfast out on it every morning. The fishing was a bit slow but we enjoyed it anyways. The appliances all worked well and we had zero problems with the internet. The location is awesome with a bait shop/grocery store right up the street at the beginning of the neighborhood.
Paul, the owner, was also very accommodating. I accidentally locked myself out of my bedroom (downstairs) and he got me out of that ordeal! Also, we had one plumbing issue but Paul had a plumber out to the house within an hour and a half to fix it! We were all very impressed with everything. Would definitely book again! :)

My husband and I were here in February and gave a great review then. We brought our blended family of seven, two vehicles, and four kayaks back here in March for Spring Break. Going through some papers today, I realized I hadn't done a review for this Spring Break trip. Let me say, some great memories were made here again. The canal was perfect for our girls to practice their kayaking skills. The boys LOVED going on excursions across the bay to the little "islands" and getting all muddy -- perfect! All five kids fished off the dock every day. The girls had the most fun with that and did the most fishing....especially at night. We cooked at the house every day and night except for one night. The kitchen is stocked! I think about coming back here AT LEAST once a week. I am looking forward to returning in 2013 either with just my husband or with the whole family. It is a perfect place for two or seven people. Thank you again, Paul, for providing a wonderful place and for answering my phone calls with questions.

House was absolutely GREAT!
Interaction with all parties when key was accidently dropped in the water was a big relief!
Very comfortable in all aspects.
Looking forward to returning!

My sister and I rented this house for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is lovely and clean, well-appointed, and does not scream "rental" as others I have stayed in did. Fishing off the back dock was slow but picked up once we got the hang of the tidal schedule. Lights for night fishing are great, and the live bait well dockside is also very handy.
On the downside, it is a good thing we had brought our own charcoal grill, as the gas grill on the deck is pretty well burned out. The modem did not work, so I could not connect on-line for a whole week (that may actually be a blessing in disguise). Instructions to go with the Direct TV set-up would also be helpful, especially if you are not traveling with a tech-savvy 10 year old.
The bed I slept on (upstairs master) was OK. Anyone using the downstairs bedroom had better be able to sleep with a pretty loud window AC unit running full time.
Be SURE you have everything you think you will need - there is NO convenient nearby shopping, except the bait shop. You have to drive up Galveston Island or 20+ miles to Freeport to find a grocery store.
Overall a very nice place, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet neighborhood to relax and enjoy. I would certainly rent it again.

If you are looking for a place to getaway to the water, this is it !. We had a family outing at this house and stayed 2 weeks. It has everything you need plus more. The fishing off the dock under the green light is great. We caught alot of trout there after the sun went down. Inside is beautiful and spacious with all the extras you would find in your own home. We have stayed at 3 different places in Treasure Island and this is the best of all. Highly reccomend !

Just my husband and I came down on this trip to get away for the weekend for some kayaking, a little fishing, relaxation and to check out the house and area for our upcoming Spring Break trip. It was a great find! Had to wait the rain our, but put that time to use to hunt down some oysters to grill and to shop in Galveston. Kayaking was sooo relaxing and easy! We were right there on the water. Grilled, fished, watched pretty sunsets off big deck. Nice spaces for all of our kids when we come back for Spring Break! Everything was clean and tidy! And those oysters we grilled were awesome.....so were the steaks we had another night... Paul was great with info and all of his help! Hopefully the internet will be cooperative for our arrival in March. Can't wait to bring the kids. They are going to love it, as well! Thank you, Paul!

First - Paul was excellent to work with pre-trip. Everything was clear, agreed, easy and the stay remained as it started - Excellent.
Second - I have stayed in 4 homes in Treasure Island canal complex.
Pauls house is awesome. Very clean, open, etc. Great downstairs and fishing area, great lights - We actually caught some keeper fish from the dock along with all the "fun" size fish that were very active. Boat slips are excellent and very easy. The bay fishing is very close -under a mile to multiple spots. There is a dock side baitwell -very useful, rodholders, etc.
The inside is perfect and very nice for a vacation. Great views from most all angles. The downstairs bedroom is perfect if you have anyone "stair challenged".
Master bedroom mattress is old and out of form - that is the only improvement I can note. Scale from 1-10 = 9.9. Fantastic place to stay.

Wonderful getaway home! Beyond our expectations as the pictures do not do this house justice. We caught many fish from the dock and had a great time grilling and drinking on the beautiful 2nd story deck overlooking the water. Already looking forward to going back!

This was one of the best vacation homes we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. All the rooms are big and airy. The linens are all crisp white like you are at a spa resort. The fishing for the kids was wonderful. We had 3 families together with children from ages 4-19 and everyone had so much fun. The home offered everything you would need, from coffee, filters, utensils, paper towels, condiments, and more then I can mention. We all have agreed this will be our beach vacation home away from home! Thank you for the incredible experience. We have already recommended this to all of our friends.

Our family spent spring break 2010 at this wonderful and accommodating beach house. There is more than enough room and the furnishings make you feel at home. The master bedroom has generous space and the downstairs bedroom is very accommodating for others in your party to stay and have some solitude. The deck is very relaxing and has spectacular sunset views. We made great use of the grill and my wife relaxed on the swing while we fished under the flood light at night. I brought my boat and the boat lift was a breeze and nice for easy and quick launches. Paul was very helpful and set us straight and turned us on to the good fishing spots and we caught trout, flounder, and reds.
We drove in to Galveston and visited the Bishops Palace and went to the Strand. The kids enjoyed the beach access which was close to the house acoss the main road. There is a small convenience store at the front ot the subdivision which came in handy for milk and bread.
Paul was very easy to work with and kept us informed prior to our stay and checked on us during our stay.
I would recommend this wonderful beachouse to anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing time.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. My wife and I were there with our two boys, my mom and dad, and my sister and brother-in-law and their two daughters. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was exactly as it was described. Paul was extremely helpful and even gave us advice on getting out into the bay that spared us the inconvenience of running up into shallow water and getting hung up. We saw other boats that were not that fortunate or informed! We caught fish and crabs right off the back porch and spent a lot of time on the large upstairs deck. The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was outfitted very well, as far as I know we never came up short on any kitchen items that we needed! I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in this area. It would be great for someone who wanted to bring their boat in as well.

This was the best sea-side vacation we have ever had. The weather was perfect. This home has beautiful views of the pass and it was extremely relaxing to sit on the deck and do absolutely nothing, there was always a breeze to keep you cool. Night fishing from the doc was always exciting since you never knew what you might catch (Flounder?, Trout?). The inside of the home is immaculate. We will definitely be back!
