You'll Want to Stay Another Day

My husband and I wanted a quick escape from Seattle and couldn't have been happier at The Beach House. The cottage was immaculate and cozy with wonderful views of the water. The property was gorgeous--fruit-laden trees, hydrangea-laden bushes, deer in the front yard, and a porcupine (at a safe distance--we'd never seen one and were fascinated) crossing the road--and quiet. The private steps down to the pebbly beach felt like a delicious little secret, and once down there we found Adirondack chairs awaiting us. The owners were so pleasant and helpful that we felt very welcome and decided after an hour that we wanted to stay an extra night. It was a wonderful three nights and even with the bonus day, we were still loathe to leave.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage. The views were scenic and soothing, the decor lovely, and the kitchen had good quality cooking utensils for fixing meals. Though it's a nice quiet getaway, it is also close to the attractions in Anacortes (such as whale watching cruises). The owner was prompt with communications and provided excellent service. Beautiful cabin on a beautiful island!

This is a must stay for two people who want to get away from it all yet have access to beautiful ocean sunsets, very quiet neighborhood, surrounded by charming farmland, quaint restaurants, and just 30 minutes from Bellingham, Anacortes, LaConner, and others. The owners are delightful and informative. The place was immaculate and well stocked. We were referred to the Bread Farm Bakery just a couple of miles away (the Cherry-Lemon Artisan bread was great), and the Chuckernut Manor Inn-Restaurant (where we had a wonderful Halibut sunset dinner overlooking one of the many bays in the area). Just driving around the coastal roads is a treat and many photo opportunities abound. We will recommend this place to our friends and return in the future.

Just wanted to let you know what a great time we had at The Beach House last weekend! What a gorgeous place. We loved how comfortable and cozy it was, and it had everything we needed. You have great taste in decor as well!

We had a wonderful time exploring Samish Island. We went for a long walk on Saturday and enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air. Even saw a few deer! Saturday afternoon we ventured out to Taylor Shellfish Farms and bought a ton of seafood. Brought it back to the house and had a huge seafood feast. Enjoyed the view from the deck as we ate our appetizer of Pacific oysters on the halfshell, then cooked up a big pot of clam linguine with pan-seared scallops on the side. We can get fresh seafood in Seattle, but not as fresh as what they sell at Taylor!
