Everything about the vip villas was great. We have traveled all over the world, but this was our best vacation ever. The food was good the activities were fun, the beaches were good, the cabanas were beautiful and getting up to breakfast was the best

Vacation of a Lifestyle in Dominican Republic

Review submitted: July 18, 2014   Date of arrival: July 6, 2014

Our family enjoyed 10 days in a five bedroom villa, completely furnished and very comfy! Everyone had a private bathroom. We also had a large swimming pool and an outside shower and toilet for our convenience. Each morning we were furnished with a fully cooked breakfast by our personal maid. She was wonderful! Around 10am, our personal Concierge would drop by to make sure we had our day planned and organized for maximum enjoyment. And around 4pm, we would have our new bottles of wine and/or liquor delivered - just in time for happy hour. After a wonderful dinner, we enjoyed the entertainment each night - top quality as well. I cannot wait to share my experience with our friends and family - and come back for another visit soon!

Family Trip for 6 - 4 BR Villa

Review submitted: July 11, 2014   Date of arrival: July 3, 2014

This was our first family vacation in almost 5 years and I can't describe how AMAZING it was!!! From the moment we booked the villa, Reed and Lisa (and their team of amazing personnel on the ground) made us feel like Royalty! The resort is exactly as it appears in the photos, the staff members were completely focused on making us happy, and the food was great! We hit a few snafus along the way (we ran out of bottled water in our villa one day, one of the bathroom ceilings had a small leak late in our trip, our golf cart lights did not work), but within MINUTES of reporting the problem, someone from the resort was there to make it right and make us happy!!! Their motto, "I am here for you!" - Can't ask for anything better than that. Our concierge, Calvin, was AWESOME! He even jumped through hoops to change a dinner reservation for us so that my husband and I could have a "date night" and made sure the kids were taken care of!

As far as excursions, the included trip to Ocean World is a must. I recommend booking any add-on packages on-line before you go and/or booking through the excursion center when you first get there - the Royal Dolphin swim was out of this world!!! Also, bring US Cash for any excursions. The exchange rate from DR pesos to US is to your disadvantage, and ATM and Credit Card fees are anywhere from 5-18%. I would also recommend using cash for your all-inclusive fees as well, since my bank charged me a 3% fee. All the shops seemed to prefer US$.

As for activities, we honestly only did Ocean World. My 11-22 year old kids were perfectly happy lounging by the ocean on the private beaches (Harmony was their favorite, Serenity was ours) being treated like royalty! The Crepe Bar and Ice Cream bar were the big hits! We certainly didn't go hungry! The restaurants were also really good!! We only did the buffet one night and then at the VIP Welcome Party (no other option that night), the rest of the nights were spent enjoying an excellent variety of foods at Jazz, Bellini, Simply Gourmet, and Blue Lagoon. Highly recommend this Lifestyle Resort, and booking through Reed and Lisa... those Gold Armbands were a MUST!!!!!

Excellent communication with Reed.

Review submitted: July 3, 2014   Date of arrival: June 5, 2014

All comments related to working with the Reid are spot on. He is 100% involved even during your stay.
We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa with 2 kids under 5, grandparents and us. The VIP beaches are GREAT! The beds, hammocks and swings were our favorites. A gold cart is a must! I would defiantly recommend working with Reed and Lisa to anyone!

Incredible All Inclusive Value. Just about perfect!

Review submitted: July 3, 2014   Date of arrival: June 21, 2014

An extremely enjoyable vacation. Everything was excellent! Everything Reed & Lisa told us was 100% spot on (Thank you again!!). We stayed in a Villa way up on a hill, away from the main areas. It was paradise! An older Villa but what a view! Extremely private, huge pool, and our own golf cart to get around. If we were too lazy we just called a shuttle which picks you up right at your door. The only trouble we had was with the hot water but who cares when it's 90+ every day. The food was excellent from top to bottom. Breakfast in the villa every morning prepared by our personal maid Andrea was just perfect. Our refrigerator was stocked with beer, water, snacks, etc every day. The private beach areas are so relaxing. Food and beverage brought right to your private area; and all you want! We did not have 1 bad meal in the restaurants. Maybe just the Brazilian restaurant because they brought everything so fast if felt like we just sat down and we were ready to go in 20 min. There is so much to do but we only took my daughter to swim with the Dolphins. We were going to do so much more but just sat back and enjoyed it all. The parties on Sunday and Thursday night were amazing. I highly recommend booking through Reed & Lisa.

Best place to bring in my 30th with close friends!

Review submitted: June 20, 2014   Date of arrival: June 11, 2014

This resort is super massive but you would never know it! You can have as much privacy as you want or as much interaction as you want depending on where you decide to go! There was never a dull moment there! We spent time at the beach, in the villa, in the villa pool, taking water aerobics, horseback riding, dancing at the welcome parties, riding in the golf carts, eating good food, sipping yummy drinks, and having a blast! I would go back again in a heartbeat! My friends and I had as much space and privacy as we needed! We could play music without bothering our neighbors or anyone seeing directly into our space. In our 6 bedroom villa, there were bathrooms in each room and plenty common spaces to spread out. It was such a great time and we are ready for the next destination! Best part were the Dominican people... they are so friendly and happy... you just need to remember to show your appreciation with a nice tip and they will continue to take good care of you! :)

Amazing Experience!!!!

Review submitted: June 18, 2014   Date of arrival: June 6, 2014

My best friend was turning 40 and we wanted to do something special for her. We found Prestige Vacation on HomeAway, I believe, and contacted Reed. He called immediately and was extremely helpful, friendly and organized. He answered all of my questions and made me feel completely comfortable in booking. It was a total of 6 of us so we rented a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom Villa. The Villa itself was phenomenal and we got every single thing that was promised to us- private pool, daily maid service with a fresh cooked breakfast, privacy and luxury. Our VIP Conceirge was fantastic and gave us a lot of great tips about navigating the Resort. The restaurants/food were all ok- nothing to write home about but clearly, you don't go to eat, so we were all fine. The real standouts for restaurants were Jazz and Anja's Lounge. I could've eaten at those places every day! There are three VIP beaches that were amazing, with Serenity Beach being the best bc it's completely isolated from the main resort and the privacy factor being incredible. We had our own Golf Cart that came with the Villa which was incredibly convenient and, believe it or not, we were able to squeeze all six of us on there just fine. All in all, it was the perfect surprise for my best friend and we all had an unbelievable time together. I'm definitely planning on either returning or booking another vacation with Reed & Lisa.

Incredible Family Vacation

Review submitted: June 18, 2014   Date of arrival: June 8, 2014

We made this journey with Grama and Grampa, 3 adult children and spouses and 7 grandchildren. The villas were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely attentive. The catamaran sail and snorkeling was epic. Lifetime family memories. This resort is a 5 Star destination. Highly recommend.

Amazing Time!

Review submitted: June 13, 2014   Date of arrival: June 3, 2014

Our family vacation was AMAZING!

Booking with Reed and Lisa was the best decision I could have made. From my first communication to the last, they were attentive, answered any question (and quickly) and were very professional. Handling business a breeze.

This resort is beautiful and has something for every taste. Check-in was uneventful and very quick. We were issued our golf cart (which is a nice thing to have as the resort is large and it beats waiting for the shuttle, though service was relatively quick) and escorted to our villa.

We stayed in a four-bedroom villa which was exactly as described and even better in person with all the amenities as promised AND A PRIVATE POOL. The full breakfast spread that was prepare by Carmen each morning was so filling that on some days we didn’t even eat lunch. The villa was very clean and well decorated with a Caribbean flair. The kitchen was stock with bottled water, sodas, snack, cereal, etc. on a daily basis.

We were greeted every morning by our concierge who gave us great tips, ensured that we had everything we needed and answered any questions.

We made it to all of the beaches, but Serenity was our favorite (you can only access this beach with the gold band that you get booking with Reed and Lisa). The food was very tasty and serving sizes were pretty decent. I can't say I have a favorite because they all were so different in their own little way. Even the Tapas bar was pretty cool with the live music.

I would definitely recommend the cable car excursion (I was so glad that my fear of heights didn't keep me from experiencing this). Booking excursions was easy, no pressure sales and the staff were very knowledgeable about each activity.

Regarding the staff, they were awesome! No one was ever rude or unfriendly and everyone we encountered happily helped us learn some Spanish. Entertainment is plentiful.

I do recommend booking with shareholders because having the gold band allows you to experience almost every aspect of this resort, with the exception of maybe one beach and/or restaurant.

In reality, everyone will have their own experiences and our experience may be different from others. However, I can honestly say that this was one of the best resort and accommodations. I can't thank Reed and Lisa enough for everything. We definitely plan to go back and will take other family members next year.

Perfect Vacation for Couples!

Review submitted: June 3, 2014   Date of arrival: May 27, 2014

My wife and I and another couple rented these accommodations for celebrating our 15th anniversaries. We could not have picked a better location! The Villa is definitely the way to go. Our Villa was older, but still very nice. Having the golf cart to get around was SO NICE! Breakfast cooked in the Villa for you each morning was great to wake up to. The beaches are exceptional. Having access to the Gold Bands for Guest Members with Reed and Lisa makes the experience MUCH better! Especially on the weekend, the other beaches were crowded, but the VIP/member ones were great!

The food quality is OK. It seemed to us that a lot of it was the same thing in different restaurants, but it was decent. The atmosphere of the restaurants is really good. We really enjoyed dressing up in the evenings for dinner and then having our own private pool at the Villa for late night swimming was awesome!

Night life is tough to find except for the Thursday and Sunday night parties the resort puts on. The ICE dance club was very small and not really "happening" on the night we went, but we still had fun and had some good laughs!

Overall the experience was excellent, and there is probably a good chance we will do this again in the future. Some notable things for anyone going:

1) The golf cart was a must, at least for us
2) Set your Ocean World time as soon as you can, unfortunately we couldn't go because it was already booked full when we wanted to go and we found out too late
3) Try out all the beaches, they each have some unique qualities
4) This would have been fun with just my wife and I, but having some other people there helped to really enjoy the Villa
5) Bring your own audio cable to hook up the stereo to your phone/ipod/ipad for late night swimming!

Definitely recommend renting through Reed and Lisa! They offer so much more than what you could get elsewhere!

We had a wonderful time! The resort was just as pictured, BEAUTIFUL!!! The villa was perfect. We stayed in the exact villa pictured here and it was so nice. Our favorite part was the little veranda. It was our happy hour spot every night. Our housekeeper was so wonderful. She made our towels into a little elephant for our 4 year old. The place was so clean! Our pool was amazing. The staff was so helpful. We enjoyed our tickets to Ocean World too. They picked our son to assist in the dolphin show! He was lifted out of the water by dolphins! Once in a lifetime opportunity! I will be back and would highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone!

Best vacation ever

Review submitted: May 15, 2014   Date of arrival: May 7, 2014

I have been to about 10 different countries and different states within the US both for vacation and leisure, but my Puerto Plata vacation at Lifestyle vacation club tops my list of the best places to visit. The welcoming spirit of the people of Dominican Republica is beyond this world. The staff at the resort were very wonderful and hospitable. We were treated as royalty. The villas were spacious and comfortable. The food and drinks were great, prepared by some of the best chefs in the world (Be brave to try something new). I loved the beaches, clean and serene. The resort is clean, transport is readily available within the resort, the entertainment is great. Arrangements to go out of the resort for excursions are organized by resort staff. Ocean world is close to the resort, lots of activities to enjoy at ocean world. But the best part of this trip was the cost. From the moment we started shopping around, Lisa and Reed made the process easy and made all the arrangements. All we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves. The cost is very affordable, the cheapest trip i have very taken and gotten so much out of it.

All Girls 50th Birthday Bash

Review submitted: May 15, 2014   Date of arrival: May 7, 2014

I celebrated my 50th birthday party at a Villa in Puerto Plata, DR. I recommened this location for all age groups. If your interests are to just lounge around by the pool of if you enjoy spending days on the beach, this is the place to vacation. I guarantee you will have a fabulous time. Less than 24 hours after arrival we agreed to book another trip in 2015.

Additionally, this resort has an awesome staff. There was an issue with the shower water being cold in 3 out of the 5 bathrooms and the air conditioner malfunctioned in the upstairs bedroom facing the pool and the ceiling started leaking. Maintenance arrived 10 minutes after I placed the call and fixed the problem while we were at the beach and cleaned up all the water in the bathroom.

As I mentioned before, my group was very pleased with the accommodations and the staff was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Review submitted: April 27, 2014   Date of arrival: April 5, 2014

My husband and I were looking for a vacation to enjoy with our 21 month old son and another couple and wanted an easy and relaxing holiday. We stumbled upon Reed and Lisa's website and decided that it was exactly what we needed. A place of our own with the amenities of an all inclusive. Everything was not exactly as what we were told it would be, it was even better! The villa was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The resort was beautiful, the beaches were amazing, the people were so friendly and the weather was perfect. We are already talking about going back. Reed and Lisa were so accommodating when we were planning the trip, answering my million questions very expeditiously. They made everything very easy. The 'sales tour' of the resort was a little lengthy, in our opinion, particularly with a 21 month old, although it was a good way to see the resort. Thank you so much, we will be returning for sure!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Review submitted: April 24, 2014   Date of arrival: April 13, 2014

My teenage daughter and I just got back from spending a week in a three-bedroom villa and LOVED it! I was a little nervous when we first got to our villa because we were across the street from the resort instead of in the middle of it and it was just the two of us. But, after only a day or two of getting to know the resort better, I realized there was no reason not to be completely at ease. Plus, our villa had the best view of the ocean! Breakfast in our villa every morning and having our own pool were two of our favorite things. We can't wait to go again! Reed and Lisa were very helpful and accommodating when booking - I had a ton of questions and they were able to answer them all.

40th Wedding Anniversary Family Vacation 2014

Review submitted: April 8, 2014   Date of arrival: March 8, 2014

The pictures we saw when booking were exactly like (or VERY similar to) the place we stayed. It was a perfect vacation! Our location was great - very close to everything! And...the private pool was wonderful! Used it morning, noon, & night - probably why I didn't gain any weight after all the food & cocktails!
Prior to booking, I called (always talked to someone directly) or emailed and got a quick response with all questions we had regarding every portion of our trip (passports, transportation, etc.). Flying into the POP airport is the best. Also, we found out that it is a "must" to have the GOLD bracelet that comes with booking reservations with Reed/Lisa! Definitely 1st class and I wouldn't do it any other way after this! The VIP beaches & restaurants that are available with this is definitely worth it - better food, better alcohol, better everything! Within walking distance to everything!
I especially loved Clara our "maid" for the week! I believe she did over and above what we ever expected. I most enjoyed trying to communicate with her as I know a little Spanish. In the end she wants to take English classes & I want to improve on my Spanish.
Plenty of water/pop/beer was stocked daily. We didn't need the yogurt before/after the wonderful breakfast that was served daily.
The only thing we were was disappointed in is that we didn't know who our coordinator for dinner/excursions was. It wasn't until we got "hooked" into going on a Life Style Vacation tour, which we really didn't want to go on, that I figured out the "shirts" were the clue. Because of this, our coordinator did nothing for us but tell us about the reservations we already made. If we knew who this person was, we would have tipped him/her well as we did everyone.
Two weeks would have been better so we could enjoy the relaxing time, which we wanted to do, and also go on more excursions; we did go snorkeling. It was fun but the fish we saw were not too impressive; lunch/entertainment was great. We did enjoy most of the nightly shows at the Colosseum (sp). We met so many wonderful people and some that we will continue to contact.
We've told many of our "best friends" about your website! They were all impressed with the place and amenities that you have to offer.
Our only regret is that we're not still there! Thank you for having a wonderful place where my family enjoyed celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary! Lots of great memories were created that week!

Spectacular

Review submitted: March 20, 2014   Date of arrival: March 8, 2014

Our good friend set everything up with Reed & Lisa and our stay was fantastic! We had 2 villas - 1 4BR and 1 2BR which is where we stayed with another couple. While we weren't as close in proximity as we were hoping, it worked out great with the 2 golf carts we had which were so easy to get around the resort. Our favorite VIP beach was the NV Beach which gave us the option of being right at the beach as well as close enough to the pools if we wanted that option instead. Although we really liked Serenity Beach too with the big lounge pillows they put right down by the water for you. Drinks, food and all round amenities at all the VIP beaches and restaurants were fantastic! Nothing like having cocktails brought to you whenever you're looking for a refill! My husband and I LOVED the food too! Another bonus! If you're able to come in on a day other than Saturday, I would recommend that as we came in on Saturday (very busy) and departed on a Sunday (not busy at all). Although tipping is optional and something that has been frowned upon at other all-inclusives we've been to in the past, we did tip the waiters often and our maid/cook at the end of our stay. I would highly recommend renting from Reed & Lisa! They made it very easy and having the gold VIP Guest Member bracelets opened up a lot of doors we might not otherwise have had.

Great place for a sun-filled get-away

Review submitted: February 20, 2014   Date of arrival: January 23, 2014

The villa was awesome! Absolutely exactly as shown in the photos, with a nice, private yard and private pool. Each bedroom has a king-sized bed and ensuite. All the spaces are very large, including the outdoor sitting areas, indoor living and dining and kitchen.

Every day, the maid comes to your villa to cook a fresh breakfast! The villa fridge is re-stocked daily with beer and soft drinks + whatever wine/alcohol you order.

The resort itself is huge, and with the gold bracelets, you can get in just about everywhere. This is really important, since some of the beach areas are only accessible if you have the gold bracelet!

We very much enjoyed ALL the restaurants including the buffet, which was very fresh and lots of variety. The service was simply outstanding at the restaurants and spa facility.

We will definitely book this again next year!

And thanks Reed for your fast communications.

Second Time was even better than the first!!!!

Review submitted: February 13, 2014   Date of arrival: January 9, 2014

I highly recommend booking with Reed and Lisa. I stayed in a 5 Bedroom villa in April 2012, and a 4 BR villa in January 2014. The villas were both very clean, the resort was massive and well kept, and the booking process was wonderful.

My first trip was with my family and another (4 adults, 4 kids age 4-12) there was something for everyone. The children enjoyed having breakfast on our patio, eating lunch right on the beach, and especially the ice cream at Scoops! The adults enjoyed all of the above plus the wonderful service we received - we were never without a nice cold beverage :)

My second trip was 6 moms - no husbands, no kids!!! HIGHLY recommend booking a crown villa with prestige worldwide vacations for a girls getaway. Without a doubt, we always felt safe at the resort. We came home with so many awesome memories - massages in the hut on the beach, helicopter tour over the water, and lots, I mean A LOT of laughs on the beautiful beaches - we visited them all...Serenity, Harmony, NV - each one has something special. We have decided to make our Girls Only escape an annual one, and without a doubt will be returning.

Thank you Reed and Lisa for the awesome customer service provided prior to our trip, and the follow up after. I won't hesitate to recommend you to any of my friends, and you will definitely be hearing from me to book again soon.

Fantastic Vacation

Review submitted: February 4, 2014   Date of arrival: January 23, 2014

This vacation started off horribly for my wife and I, we had to contact Reed as we were not allowed to fly out of our area on the day we were suppose to (passport issue), when we reached out to Reed and Lisa they were very helpful and reschedule our Villa. I have to say thank you very much to Reed & Lisa as they were fantastic! They were able to change everything for us which was more than we could ask for twice! Once in the Dominican we were picked up by a Van which took us to the resort (short 35 min drive) upon checking in at the resort we were given keys and our GM Gold bands (very important at this resort only go to this resort with these bands by Reed & Lisa). We did receive our golf cart which to be honest was the best thing about the trip especially given the size of the place. It was great to be able to drive to any beach, restaurant, bar without having to wait for a shuttle bus. Our first morning we were greeted by our VIP Service guy who set us up for reservations and recommended things to do. After he left someone else came by to ask if we wanted a tour of the resort? Since we just got there we were happy to get a tour and went with him, he drove us straight to the sales office and we waited for someone to show us around which is a way of them trying to get you to drink the cool aide. A sales representative took us around and tried selling us on the package which we were not interested in so after I explained this she was not pushy and left us alone.(interesting they want you to buy in before you even vacation at the resort) If you want to avoid this situation though do not go with anyone for a tour just explore it on your own. Blue shirts are sales representatives. Food at the resort is typically for an all inclusive nothing special but nothing horrible either, drinks were all good and at some bars they served top shelf which was nice to see. We had a villa which was outside of the resort (not sure why) it was nice but not exactly what the pictures described however we were happy, the house definitely needed a remodel as all of the decor was from the 70s and the beds were old. Garden and pool were beautiful though so thats all that matters. We spent most of our time at Serenity Beach which is fantastic as is Harmony Beach. All the staff at the resort are very friendly and will do anything you as, always a smile on their faces. The sunday night party was great fireworks etc but it is a huge sales pitch for Lifestyles. Definitely GO! Thanks Reed

Villa de Las Serenas

Review submitted: February 2, 2014   Date of arrival: January 16, 2014

This is the first time I've ever given 5 stars. My 4th trip to the DR and absolutely say it was the best trip. The villa was incredible, the staff was incredible and we were made to feel like true VIPs from the time we arrived until we left. The resort really is as beautiful as the pictures - that doesn't happen often! Reed & Lisa were so easy to deal with - I will definitely be contacting them for my next trip. Some restaurants were better than others but anyone that has any experience with resorts knows that you don't go for the food. The best food is always local food.
I recommend, without hesitation, booking the trip through Reed & Lisa. We met others who booked through agencies and didn't get the total experience that we did as guests of gold members. I can't wait to book the next one!

Reed and Lisa are awesome!

Review submitted: January 28, 2014   Date of arrival: February 23, 2013

I can say I was nervous booking everything on the internet, I talked to Reed and he assured me of everything! Everything was as Reed told me, no extra fees, exactly as he described. The resort is very beautiful our 2 Villa were very nice. We did have a small problem with housekeeper in one of the units not cleaning very well and not replacing our towels, but within minutes of talking to Reed, the resort fired the housekeeper and had several managers there to fix the problems. Just the mention that we rented from Reed and Lisa made the manager very nervous, she actually stated Reed and Lisa are one of the most important share holders in the resort and if people do not service their clients with top notch service, then people lose their jobs. You can rest assure if you are going to rent in this resort from Reed and Lisa, you will be taken well care of!

The Villas are better than the pictures show and the resort staff is beyond helpful and friendly. All I wanted was a relaxing birthday vacation and it was just that plus more. Thank you again Reed and Lisa for making the process effortless!

Just returned from Paradise where we were treated like Royalty!

Review submitted: December 9, 2013   Date of arrival: November 29, 2013

My husband and I and our two children just returned from a 9-night absolutely magnificent vacation at Lifestyles in Puerto Plata. If you are looking to relax and have some wonderful family time than this is the place to go. The Dominican people are wonderful, the staff goes above and beyond to make you as happy as possible and everything that is promised to you is delivered and more!! Renting from Reed and Lisa gets you VIP status at this property and you are truly treated like royalty in everyway. The photos you see are all accurate descriptions of what you will get. Renting the villa comes with the added perks of your own golf cart ( a must in our opinion since the property is huge!) and a maid who makes you breakfast in your villa every morning! We went on two excursions while we there. One to Ocean World to swim with the dolphins and the other to Paradise Island. We would highly recommend both. Both were once in a lifetime experiences. Reed and Lisa were extremely helpful before we booked and after we booked our vacation answering all of our questions with honest answers. I would recommend this property to anyone and everyone. It is perfect for families, couples, young and old. We can't wait to rent from them again!!!

First, The Service and Attention to Detail from Reed and Lisa at Prestige Worldwide Vacations was amazing, Very Easy to deal with and quick to help when flexibility is needed. The Villa was comfortable and the Beaches were beautiful. I actually did not think about work the entire time I was there. Puerto Plata is beautiful. I am already talking about my return to the DR.

Couldn't get a better vacation experience!!

Review submitted: November 11, 2013   Date of arrival: October 27, 2013

Booking our first official "Family Vacation" with Lisa and Reed at Lifestyles Resort was amazing from start to finish. We're are sad it had to end. From the ease of booking, communicating, making payment and arranging the minor details with Reed to the amazing service and VIP treatment while at the resort, we couldn't have asked for more. Having two toddlers with us, it was perfect to have our own villa, with breakfast prepared every morning and a private pool to hang out at when we just wanted quiet time. The restaurants, bars, pools, beaches and staff are First rate. Having a gold cart to explore the resort was pretty awesome too!! I'm already saving for when we can go back!! Thanks so much for allowing us the perfect family vacation and Dominican experience.

As promised and more

Review submitted: November 8, 2013   Date of arrival: October 24, 2013

This was my first time booking villa accommodations and I will say I little nervous because I work in the hospitality industry and I've seen how these things can go wrong, broken promises, misinformation ,etc. That said, the accommodations were just as promised and Reed and Lisa were extremely easy to work with. They answered all of my questions fully and quickly and trust me I had LOTS of questions. I want to say we exchanged over 20 emails. It was all well worth it though. The resort is lovely. It was great to have a golf cart but there are shuttles that will pick you up and drop you off where you need to go. The maid comes and prepares breakfast for you each morning and the privileges of the gold wrist band are countless. I will say if you go I recommend giving yourself at least a week. My friends and I went for 5 nights and wish we had a few more days. There are so many restaurants/bars it feels you'll never have enough time to check them all out. The beaches are nice as well. If you want to see more people and activity I would recommend going to VIP beach. if you want something a little more private with fewer people I suggest Harmony Beach. Everyone is very friendly on the resort and hope for a really good VIP representative. They are very helpful in making suggestions for dinner, things to do, places to go off the resort, etc. party on Sunday night is nice. Go early! All in all it's a must stay.

Relaxing time with friends to celebrate 40th Birthday

Review submitted: November 4, 2013   Date of arrival: October 24, 2013

It was a breeze dealing with Reed and Lisa. They respond immediately over email and even talked with me by phone to answer questions. Everything on their website is correct and we encountered no surprises.
We stayed in a 4 bed Villa in the older section with a fabulous view. Having our own pool was fabulous. We had a personal security guard for the 5 villas that were surrounding ours. The maid in the morning was great and we very much enjoyed trying to communicate with her. We had brought some crayons and coloring books to give out and she was thrilled to get them. Daily in the morning a staff member with a yellow shirt would come and help us with anything we needed ( bottle delivery, dinner reservations). It is important to be prepared for the sales pitch ( from our observation people in white shirts and blue shirts). A firm no thank you - "we are headed to beach" worked for us. Most important don't get in anyones golf cart - that is how they show you around. (except on day of arrival when the VIP desk staff takes you and your luggage to your room - this is okay they have yellow shirts). Serenity Beach is by far the best - Don't go anywhere else. The gold bracelets you get going through Reed and Lisa allow access to this beach. It is quiet, right on the water, and has great service. It was our favorite spot by far! The resort is enormous and I was constantly amazed. We had a golf cart to get around and based on where our villas was we were so greatful! There are maps everywhere if you get turned around - I apparently don't have the sense of direction I thought I had. Security is everywhere and so friendly, always smiling. The food was so so for our group. We didn't starve but had trouble finding food to our liking. We have many dietary restrictions though. Restaurant hours are somewhat confusing so make sure you ask when you arrive what is open and on what days. Our best dinner was at VIP Intimates. We also ate at Jazz. Wifi was available in certain hot spots. These are all accessible with the gold bracelets. We found it rather expensive to get wifi in the villa so we didn't opt to do this. We saved our communication with home for when we were on Serenity Beach. The welcome party on Sunday probably had the best food selection for our group. The entertainment was fair - it was the only show we went to all week so not much to compare it too. We would recommend this listing for sure. They were so easy to deal with.

The Kids Ask When Are We Going Back

Review submitted: October 29, 2013   Date of arrival: August 4, 2013

This review is long overdue as we were there form Aug 4-12. I can not stress that if you want to have a 5 star vacation make sure you rent only from Reed and Lisa as the staff at the resort know them.

I booked this trip as the Sweet 16 Birthday parties for my two daughters one who was 17 and one who is 15, they each brought a friend along. We were originally supposed to be booked into a 6 bedroom villa but upon getting to resort one was not available so they tried to put us into two 3 bedroom villas. We ended up instead with a Villa - Willa Playa Mor just outside the resort on the hill overlooking- the entire resort from the west side. Don't let this scare you away but probably not good if you have young kids. Now traveling up the hill in a golf cart we never did at nite. The staff was very helpful we could call and get a van to dinner with 5 minutes notice. There were minor annoyances like the golf cart did not work the morning after we got it, and the internet was down for two days. The villa's outside all have pvt security form 6pm till 8 am the next morning- ours also came with a care taker and two maids who cleaned and made breakfast each morning.

You know how hard it is to impress teenagers but on the second day we went to Harmony Beach- you can only get in there if you are a member and/or rent from reed and lisa- the girls connected to the WIFI and were video chatting with there friends back home all of which was jealous.

The food- every night the kids were taking pictures of the food and posting on instagram.

The kids keep asking me when are we going back.

Everything about the trip was top of the line. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Yes there were a few minor annoyances but they were minor.

Thanks again reed and lisa.

Best trip

Review submitted: October 22, 2013   Date of arrival: September 28, 2013

From start to finish I must say this trip was amazing. Booking was very easy with Reed &Lisa. Very professional and detailed. They answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Once I arrived at the airport transportation was waiting with a sign with my name. When I arrived at the resort I was amazed at how beautiful it was. Check in was easy and all staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a 4 bedroom villia, and it was beautiful. Having a private pool is ideal at the resort as all pools close by 7. Every day our maid would come clean, fix breakfast, and attend to our needs. A staff member would come to our villa daily to check in on us and ask if we needed anything, which was great! Anything we asked if they had it we would be provided with it. The food was amazing. We tried a different restaurant every night and I was very pleased with the food. Each dish was delicious. My favorite was Jazz and Gourmet. We went to the hookah bar every night which was nice. They have a DJ and serve good cocktails
The resort is huge, exploring it was fun in the golf cart. The beaches and pools are very clean and beautiful. Each beach and pool has a bar which serves food and drinks.
Overall the trip was amazing. I will be referring family and friends. I never like to go to the same place twice in a row, but I would definitely go again possibly next year. Best trip Ever!

This property is GREAT!!!!!! It was so peaceful but yet enough for you to do to stay busy the whole day. The staff was great and very helpful with anything. We came in a group of 22 and everyone loved it! We all said that we could come back to this property again it was just that nice. We even had someone to purchase property while we were there. Our group does a lot of traveling and by far this has been the best one so far and we have been to some good places. Lisa and Reed you guys were great THANK YOU so much for helping us have a great relaxing vacation.

Absolute perfection. Wouldn't stay anywhere else or book with anyone else.

Review submitted: October 8, 2013   Date of arrival: September 21, 2013

I've stayed at this resort before so I went having some idea of what to expect. What I did not know was how unbelievably different my stay would be going as a guest of these owners. Everything from being a gold bracelet guest (which is critical to enjoy all of this property's amenities), to receiving a golf cart to get around the property as well as all the extras was exactly as promised. All questions we had in advance were answered very promptly and the owners continued to be available to us while we were there. We will definitely be booking with them again and have already recommended them to friends.

Family Vacation

Review submitted: September 16, 2013   Date of arrival: March 27, 2013

BEWARE This was our families vacation which we do not get to fly very much with six people. I talked extensively with Reed and told him how important it was that we have a nice facility and we are Marriott timeshare owners and wanted the same quality. Reed assured me this was a very nice place for a family vacation and the house would be great for our family. I really liked the idea of the villa with its own pool. Another family decided to go with us after I told them about the description Reed had given me. We rented the six bedroom villa for both families with vip bracelets. Well when we arrived the house was nothing like we expected. The front door had a hole in it. The master bedroom door did not lock and it had a hole in it. There were also many leaks in the house. Maintenance did come and said they could do nothing about the hole in the doors but tried to fix the lock. It still did not lock all the way. Also two of my kids cut their feet in the shower on screws in the drains that were raised. There were feral cats living on the back porch. The air condition was awful and the beds felt like you were sleeping on plywood. When I called Reed he said there nothing he could do because we were already there. We booked this place six months ahead the owner had plenty of time to get us what we were expecting and what he described. When we asked the resort for any help on golf carts house anything they said they could not help us because we were not owners. Our golf cart kept breaking down and they were suppose to give us two golf carts or a bigger golf cart for the size house we had. Reed did help finally getting us a golf cart that worked. As far as eating the resort never asked us where we wanted to eat they just told us and gave us the times. They kept booking us for dinner at 8:30 which caused us to miss most of the shows. It also way to late to feed young children. The island itself was beautiful I hate that our accommodations were so awful. The best thing we did was get out of the resort.

Owners response: I am happy to report that since this guest visited in March 2013, this villa has been renovated and the resort has new golf carts and has added additional golf carts! I took several phone calls from this guest while she was at the resort and the staff did their best to please her, but unfortunately we just could not meet her expectations. I had guests stay in this villa immediately before and after this guest's stay and they were very happy with the villa and their overall experience.

Wonderful Resort, Wonderful Hosts, Wonderful Time!

Review submitted: August 27, 2013   Date of arrival: August 16, 2013

Everything was lovely at the property. There were 3 of us and we had no clue it was going to be that size for a 3 bedroom villa, the pictures do not do it justice, with an awesome private pool on top of it all, wow. The house was stocked with beer upon arrival and everything was clean and neat. Our maid Sotera was awesome. We had the bracelets for the all inclusive food, but she made us an amazing breakfast the first morning and we never opted for anything else in the mornings. We also made sure to tip her well for this and she was more than appreciative. The parties at the resort were fun too, our group enjoyed casino night a little more than the welcome party but I guess it all depends on the time of year you go. The VIP beach was excellent and was not super crowded at all. Definitely go to the Oyster bar there, quite the treat and they will give you complimentary cigars at the bar as well. Do what you can to get dinner reservations every night you are there, when you're hungry at the end of a long day of having drinks at the beach, you don't want to go to the Casablanca buffet. Simply Gourmet was our favorite. The transaction and setting up the trip with the hosts was done with a few emails and everything went super smooth. If you know spanish but do not speak it on a regular basis, before your trip, brush up on it, it definitely makes communicating with the employees on the resort a better experience and they appreciate you are trying to communicate with them in their own language. All in all it was a wonderful trip, and I will recommend this to friends and family and will return myself again.

Villas are very nice with private pool, although if you want there are many pools around the property to go to. The VIP beaches are excellent . The restuarant have delicious food. Buffets, the service and people are great. Bars everywhere!! We were 12 adults and absolutely loved it. Highly recommended. VIP a must.

Resort & Private Villa Amazing!

Review submitted: August 9, 2013   Date of arrival: July 28, 2013

Lifestyle Holiday Vacation resort is a lovely and fantastic place to stay. We rented a villa for our honeymoon, and it came complete with a private pool. The surrounding resort area is beautiful and full of excellent locations, such as Serenity Beach where we laid in canopied beds on the beach, the Spot, which is a large pool with a hookah bar up top (the resort has many other pools as well,) the many and variegated restaurants & bars, and large theatres and colisseum. The food was exquisite, especially at the specialty restaurants which feature seafood, Italian, French/New Orleans, gourmet, Brazilian, Mexican, and Chinese, among many others. The service is excellent and your wine glass is always full. The entertainment is top-notch and included Michael Jackson impersonators, large & extravagant dances, magic shows, and street & pool parties featuring DJs, dancers, and live drummers. On Sunday nights the dining and entertainment combine with a massive buffet and an extravagant show complete with a saxophonist, cultural dancers, fire dancers, steel drummers, a full band, and finishing with a DJ. We were never bored and always relaxed and had a very romantic trip, however, we would love to return with a large group and have a lot of fun.

BEST VACATION EVER!!!!

Review submitted: July 29, 2013   Date of arrival: July 18, 2013

There aren't enough appropriate words in the dictionary to explain the vacation we just experienced through Reed and Lisa in Puerto Plata, DR. We wanted for nothing and got more than we could have imagined. As if having our breakfast prepared in the villa by Dominique wasn't enough, the attention to detail put it over the top. I have no complaints whatsoever! None. Not one. Well, one. Only that I couldn't stay longer!

Best amenities we've ever experienced

Review submitted: July 28, 2013   Date of arrival: July 20, 2013

The villas were amazing. I wouldn't go any other way. We had so much privacy with our own pool and having the golf cart made getting around so easy. Sandy beaches and good snorkeling right off shore. We felt very safe on the resort. We speak no Spanish and didn't have any major issues at all. The food was good but I would recommend not over-eating like I did! The drink selections and service were great. Working with Reed and Lisa for this package was outstanding. They are very upfront about everything and truly care that you have a great time. I will definitely recommend this resort to anyone. There were not a terribly large amount of young children... The resort has several restaurants for dinner. Our favorite was Jazz. We never had a bad meal though.

Amazing.....

Review submitted: July 8, 2013   Date of arrival: June 25, 2013

My wife and children (age 15 and 17) spent a week at Lifestyle Holidays resort, Puerto Plata from June 25 - July 2, 2013. To say we had a great time would be an understatement!

Starting with our transfer from the airport, every service and amenity that Reed and Lisa promised was delivered. The Villa was incredible and having our own pool was a huge plus. Thanks to our VIP privileges, we spent a lot of time at Serenity and Harmony Beaches and never had a problem securing a cabana or an oceanfront bed/chair.

My family and I prefer to visit different all inclusive Caribbean resorts when vacationing outside the US. That said, we are already talking about coming back to this property and will definitely book with Reed and Lisa when we next vacation in the DR.

Trip to Paradise!

Review submitted: June 13, 2013   Date of arrival: June 1, 2013

This property description and amenities were spot on. The resort was just as pictured. Some of the villas were a bit dated, but this did not take away from our stay at all. Although there were some issues with our water and air on several days, the resort was very prompt in responding to our concerns and they were remedied quickly. The property was very clean and beautifully landscaped. We especially enjoyed Serenity Beach. We have already recommended the property to many of our friends and we intend to revisit this same property next year with our entire family. Reed and Lisa were very helpful in planning our trip and answering all of our questions honestly and promptly. Some of our party went to Ocean World with the free tickets and enjoyed it thoroughly. We did not leave the resort and loved the relaxing atmosphere and great service from all of the wait staff.

Couple of suggestions for visiting. If someone comes to the villa and asks to give you a tour, it's a sales pitch not a tour. If you aren't interested just tell them before you take the ride. Also, it was very helpful that we all took tervis tumblers or large insulated cups. This helped keep our drinks colder longer and we got twice as much in our drinks every time they were filled. Favorite restaurants were Simply Gourmet, Rodizzio, Jazz and El Pilon. We liked Blues for breakfast the best - not as crowded and great service. We went to Serenity Beach every day because we enjoyed it so much. Crepes on the beach were a great treat.

Look forward to another visit really soon!!!

The best couples retreat EVER!

Review submitted: April 7, 2013   Date of arrival: April 1, 2013

The 8 of us arrived on Monday and after a small miscommunication we were off to have the most amazing trip ever! Our small problem? We didn't have any food or drinks in our villa when we arrived or into the next day but..... After a quick email to Reed and Lisa all was well with apologies from the resort. We ended up being off the resort at the Villa of Angels. If you are fortunate enough to stay at this villa, you will be soooo happy. We have the most amazing view, and privacy, something you will not find in the resort. The golf cart and gold bracelet are a must, so if you are considering booking through someone else, make sure that is included. We have a maid (Menbonita) and a pool boy (Carlim) who took care of us way beyond what I am sure their job demands. We also have a personal security guard, which has made us feel more then safe. We had reservations for dinner every night, except our first day, at different restaurants. Jazz and Gourmet were our faves. The buffet is not fantastic but everywhere else is amazing! If you want pizza to go, go to Bellini. The people here are so nice, I wish I could list all of the ones we have befriended. Please tip them well, they work hard. The best beach by far is Serenity Beach. For all of you caffeine junkies, the bar there stocks Red Bull ;) .
We did the waterfall excursion and the Tip Top Catamaran. If you do the waterfalls, be prepared to climb! It was a lot of fun and an experience I will never forget. The catamaran was fun but so hot. Even after applying sunblock over and over we burned.
Thank you Reed, Lisa and others for such a great trip and always being there with a quick response!

Stunning!

Review submitted: March 28, 2013   Date of arrival: March 20, 2013

We just got back from the trip and will never forget ti. The resort it absolutely amazing, food great and accomodations unbelievable. There was 8 of us including 4 children ages 2-6 and everyone of us had a great time. We got our villa outside the resort but we thought that it was better because we had a spectacular ocean view from all bedrooms and a night guard which made our stay very safe.

The representative that we got Sybille was amazing, she took care of all of it for us, alcohol orders, ocan world tickets and all reservations to only VIP restaurants, Jazz and Rodzio is our favorite and the least favorite was Bellini. The VIP is the only way to go.

The maids/cooks were so nice and made us scouptious breakfasts made our loundy and cleaned really good each day, this makes you feel really taken care of. When I read about the service before our trip I thought that it is too good to be true but it fact it is true.

Our favorite beach was Serenity with all service and great drinks, no need to fight for the bed and chairs the staff brings them to you - absolutely great.

We thinking that it will be hard to tap this vacation trip so we will be back, and definetely book with you Lisa and Read because you made it so easy.
Thank you!

Fun in the Dominican!

Review submitted: March 15, 2013   Date of arrival: March 2, 2013

Just got back from beautiful Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa at the Lifestyles Vacation Resort. The villa was beautiful with a private pool and three master suites. Rosa came in and made us a delicious breakfast every morning which we enjoyed on the patio with three little kittens waiting for us to drop something for them. Not much was dropped! The resort was fantastic - it was huge so it was a good thing we had the golf cart to get around in. We took a couple of tours (one was the cable car to the top of the mountain overlooking Puerto Plata and the other was the 7 waterfalls tour). The cable car was fun and a great way to sort of figure out where we were at on the island. The waterfall tour was hysterical! My sister and I are not petite women but we had a great time climbing up the falls and then jumping off or sliding down them. Just a couple of scabbed up knees! I wouldn't recommend this tour for people that have trouble walking or climbing but we had a great time. I would definitely go back to Puerto Plata in a minute and would again work with Reed & Lisa to plan the trip. It went off without a hitch and they were able to answer all of my questions before we left the U.S. Looking forward to the next time!

hi Reed and Lisa,

I just wanted to send a email to say Thank you for all you both did to make our vacation a success with last minute changes due to the snow storm we had in Boston. It was very well appreciated that you got the villa extended with our flight changes.

We had great weather, lots of fun and we loved the villa we stayed at #58. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool at night.

Everyday we went to Serenity beach, this is the beach you can get into with a gold bracelet.

thanks again for all you did to make this vacation a success.

We have just returned from the vacation of a lifetime! The villa was spectacular, the ammenities were wonderful and the people working at Lifestyles are so friendly and warm. The trip from Colorado is a long one, but the warm reception upon arrival is so nice. The resort is top notch in every way. There was plenty of alcohol at the Villa however they could have stocked more beer for our group! For the price of a trip to Mexico, this is so superior. And the booking process is so easy with Lisa. I am telling everybody I know to look into this for their next vacation. In fact, we plan to book it next year for sure! The only bad thing I can say is we had to leave at the end of the week!

Lifestyles Crown Villas, Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic

Review submitted: February 13, 2013   Date of arrival: January 17, 2013

I was nervous at first about planning a vacation online. Talking to Reed the first time put me at ease and made me more excited to go on vacation. He was honest and answered all of my questions. The resort is beautiful and the staff are simply amazing. The beaches were spectacular and relaxing. The Villa we were placed in was older, but full of charm. The Villa was always clean. The grounds of the resort are immaculate. Every day there is staff out working on the grounds. The perks that come from renting from Reed and Lisa were also fantastic. Having the VIP bands allowing us access to Memebers Only areas was fantastic and our own personal golf cart was a huge perk. The golf cart was a great way to get around the resort as it is very large. We had a small problem with our golf cart that was very quickly taken care of by Reed. We are hoping to go back again. Up to the very last day we were findng new pools, attractions, etc. Planning activities off the resort was simple with a building set up with all the information and prices. We went to Ocean World and horse back riding on the beach. The dolphin encounter at Ocean World was a great memory maker and the sea lion show is so cute. The VIP Welcome Party is NOT to be missed. It was our favorite night at the resort. The Buffet was the biggest we have ever seen. The live entertainment was fun and enjoyed by all of us in our party. The restaurants we ate at were good. Our favorites were the Mexican restaurant and VIP Gourmet. The only complaint was not being able to get seatings at ones we wanted on a few nights. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent Villa Experience!!!

Review submitted: January 31, 2013   Date of arrival: January 10, 2013

The exclusivity of the villas creates a feeling of solitude that is welcome in a resort environment. Security inside the resort was very much appreciated. The villas were exactly as depicted on the website, when does that ever happen? Personal attention from the staff meant that you didn't have to chase them down to book restaurants, cleaning was done daily, frig stocked daily, pool cleaned daily, etc. The owners are more than accommodating. Once you book your villa they handle everything with the resort and they were always available to answer questions in a reasonable amount of time. If you've been to a regular resort you'll know the only privacy you got was when you hide in your room so now imagine going to your room having a full kitchen, flat screen TV, full living room and dining room plus a more than gracious yard and your own private pool surrounded by gardens and more empty beach chairs than you actually need. This is the villa experience. We would definitely book this villa again and have already recommended this to friends and family!!

Beautiful vacation

Review submitted: December 29, 2012   Date of arrival: December 9, 2012

For Christmas, my family (me, my husband, our 1.5 year old son, and my parents) shared a 3 bedroom villa. We had a fantastic time. The staff were all super friendly. The food was great. The villa had everything we needed. The VIP beaches were beautifully decorated (very serene). It was a wonderful vacation.

family vacation

Review submitted: July 11, 2012   Date of arrival: June 27, 2012

IT was simply AWESOME. There was 15 total in our group we unfortunately did not get the 6 bedroom but to our surprise did receive a 4 & 3 bedroom villa so there was plenty of space. Units very clean not updated but comfortable. Beds very comfortable with AC in all bedrooms not common area only ceiling fans. The gold bracelet VIP is the only way to go. The service provided by the VIP staff daily was outstanding. Having breakfast cooked every morning was such a treat. Restaurants required reservations VIP Gourmet & Jazz my favorite all are great. Got to try Azul for lunch(amazing view & calamari) only shareholders can reserve dinner. The VIP beaches are so beautiful Serenity & Harmony and the VIP pool was nice more geared towards younger crowds our teenagers loved it. No fighting for beach beds always was plenty of room at the VIP beaches. Everyone in our group was happy and pleased and wants to go back this time for 2 weeks(our stay was 10 days). Every evening swimming in our private pools was such a treat. Having the golf carts made it so much fun moving around. The shuttle service was very fast also. Bring plenty of singles for tipping the service is so great trust me you want to tip. The people are so eager to do what is needed to make your stay pleasant. Ocean world tickets were included for all of us that was such a fun day of snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins($20 off swimming with the dolphins with free admission tickets) My 7 year old niece said it best "Auntie I feel like we are rich" We will definitely book through Reed & Lisa again. Thanks for an amazing vacation and lasting family memories.

Great Family Vacation

Review submitted: July 11, 2012   Date of arrival: June 27, 2012

This resort really rocks! It is unique because you can have the space and comfort of a Villa and still have the resort feel with all the choices of food and activities. The staff was incredibly nice - made all the more attentive with a small tip. Upon our arrival, everything promised by Reed and Lisa was there - Gold Bracelet, Golf Cart, 4 Bedroom Villa, Ocean World Tickets, Cold Drinks in our Frig, etc. The Gold Bracelets are worth it because without them, you can not get into Serenity Beach - favorite place to hang out. We had 4 kids - ages 14 to 18. We felt comfortable giving them freedom to do their own thing on the resort. The timeshare thing was not a hassle for us as we had read in other reviews. Sure, they took a run at us - their was a Salesman that showed up at our Villa, let himself in and offered to "show us around". But after 10 minutes of awkward exchange, the guy figured out he was wasting his time with us and left us alone the rest of the week. There were minor hiccups - Toilets were frequently not operational because the plumbing is jacked up in the DR. The plumber told us that we are not supposed to throw toilet paper in the toilet in the DR because the pipes are too small. We were to throw it in the trash can in the bathroom - yuk!. Well we opted to just keep throwing the TP in the toilet as usual and just call the plumber everyday to fix it. He showed up at least 6 times smiling every time as he told us again to throw the TP in the waste basket instead of the toilet. It was no big deal. We didn't always get our choice of where we wanted to eat. We were told often that it was not available. By far our favorite was Blue Lagoon followed by VIP Gourmet. Our least favorite wast the Italian food and Sushi (The sushi looks nothing like the appetizing pictures on various web sites). The Pizza ovens were not working the night we went for Italian food which probably detracted from our experience. We also ate at Indochine - it was OK; and Casa Blanca Buffet - also OK. We ate lunch almost everyday on the beach at Serenity - Good burgers, Crepes, etc. The Sports Bar also had killer chicken wings. Even though the Gold Bracelets do not get you into Azul for dinner, they will get you in for lunch. I found the quality of food there superb. There was a villa coordinator assigned to us. We found him to be pretty worthless. There was not one thing we asked for that he delivered on. I think his job was to say "No". Even with all that, I would go back any time

Amazing facilities

Review submitted: June 13, 2012   Date of arrival: June 1, 2012

The villas were much better than I had expected. We had our own private pool and were 50 yards from the beach. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was made for us in our villa each morning and our fridge was stocked daily. We made a bit of a mess at times and we heard nothing about it, it was cleaned without hesitance. The beer and drinks were very good, but the food was just okay. I recommend finding the Italian restaurant early - you can go and order up as many pizzas as you want.. and they're good. If you're looking for a gorgeous beach, this might not be your spot, but it's good enough and the cabanas and bars on the beach are awesome. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Lot of fun, great place.

1st timers....Can't wait to go back!!!!!

Review submitted: May 14, 2012   Date of arrival: May 4, 2012

This was our first trip to Lifestyles. We have been to several all inclusive resorts in Punta Cana and Mexico and so far this is my favorite. First thing, Reed and Lisa are wonderful to work with! I was very leary to rent from individuals as opposed to an established resort. After many emails and calls to Reed prior to booking I was pretty sure that this guy was ok. He responded quickly and honestly to all my concerns.

Upon arrival we were picked up at the airport by a guy holding a sign with our name on it. We were driven to the resort in an older van that did not have air. We opened the windows and that was ok. The driver did not speak English but got us to the resort with no problem.

At reservation we were offered a drink (Bacelo Rum and Coke mmmm). We received our gold bracelets and paid the agreed upon amount for the AI . To us the gold bracelet was key. Guests with other colors did not receive the VIP perks we did.

We asked about hard liquor in the Villa and were told that we could not get it until the next day. We got to-go drinks at the bar and headed for our Villa. There was beer and soft drinks in the fridge. We did receive the hard stuff the next day and every day after.

We stayed in a 3 BR 3.5 bath Villa. From driving around in the golf cart that we were promised and received immedatly upon arrival, I thought that the Villa we had was probably one of the smaller, older Villas. My husband and I loved it. The other two couples thought it was a bit dated. It was plenty big enough for the 3 couples. The air worked great in the bedrooms. No air in the common areas but that was ok as we had the doors to the pool open and there were ceiling fans that kept the air moving. We loved our secluded back yard, pool and veranda.

We spent the first few days hanging at Harmony beach. LOVED IT! We got a huge cabana with cusioned chairs, sofa and bed overlooking the ocean. It had a great bar, nice lunch area and good service. On day 3 Harmony Beach was closed for renovations and we were forced to go to Serenity Beach. It was even more beautiful, had even better service and food. Both of these VIP beaches were fabulous!

Weather was great, awsome storm one night that we watched from our covered veranda.

Many nice restaurants, food was plentiful and varied much from great to so so. Make reservations early as not all restaurants are open every night.

Can't wait until it is time to call Reed for our next trip!

Wonderful Week in Paradise

Review submitted: May 1, 2012   Date of arrival: April 14, 2012

Four adults and four children spent one week in a five bedroom villa booked with Reed and Lisa. The accommodations and service were great! Our favorite part of the week was by far the two V.I.P beach areas which require gold wrist bands to enter (which you get booking through Reed and Lisa.) The service and amenities at Harmony Beach and Serenity Beach were great!

The kids (ages 13, 12, 11 and 4) all enjoyed the day spent at Ocean World and a lot of the activities offered throughout the resort. Not to mention the convenience of having our own pool!

We would definitely recommend and plan on returning in the future. We have rented many villas in the Caribbean but this experience was unique as it allowed us the opportunity to stay in a private villa with a pool but still have all the amenities of an all inclusive resort. We would return and will definitely book with Reed and Lisa; they are professional, prompt and extremely efficient!

Amazing time, fabulous food, courteous staff, perfect beaches!!
We travelled with 5 people total. There is lots of space in the villa so you never feel cramped like a hotel. The private pool is great for hanging out if you want to get away from the crowds. That being said, the VIP beaches are never packed and you can always find a bed/beanbag chair any time of that day. You don't need to get there at 8am to secure a good spot.
The food was great. We ate at a different a la carte restaurant every night and each place was terrific.
Definitely recommend this location to all travelers.

Exceptional Place to Vacation

Review submitted: February 13, 2012   Date of arrival: January 29, 2012

I can not say enough about how great a trip we had. The villa that we rented from Reed and Lisa was exactly what we had expected and then some. From the arrival at the AP to the trip back. The villa (3 bedroom/3 1/2 bath) with private pool was exceptionally clean and well maintained, including the pool. We received excellent customer service from our early discussions with Reed and Lisa to the service at the resort. Everyone at the resort was extremely pleasant and could not do enough for us - always smiling and offering assistance or guidance. Our Villa was well stocked and we were visited each day by someone from VIP services to ensure that we had everything we needed from juice and water to our favorite alcoholic beverages. Morning breakfast was excellent and our Maid Mariska was fabulous and very pleasant. Pool was cleaned each day by a "pool boy". Dinner reservations were all taken care of on day one by VIP services and meals were very good and service was good as well and exceptional in the Dominican Restaurant. We enjoyed having a golf cart and used it frequently - little small for six people but we certainly managed to fit without too much trouble! The beaches - Serenity and Harmony and VIP World were delightful and there was always a lounge available for relaxing. Wifi worked well at the sports bar, VIP World and the beaches. Service at the beaches and bars was great - always someone there to offer to get you a drink. I would recommend, and have already, this as a vacation spot to friends and family. I am ready to book next years trip and will do so again with Prestige Worldwide Vacations (Reed and Lisa). Thanks Reed and Lisa for introducing us to the lifestyle vacation resort that you "Only Tell to Your Best Friends!" Patti Elich

The villa was probably one of the older ones, but very clean. Staff was excellent. Food was wonderful except for one local fare which was new to facility and probably needed some staffing. Amazing honeymoon and best vacation EVER!

Review submitted: September 25, 2011   Date of arrival: August 10, 2011

First of all, I looked at this place and thought, there's noooo way it's as good as they say it is for this price. Reed was wonderful to talk to and calmed all of our worries and boy were we wrong...this place was everything and more! You may read some things on travel sites and reviews from other renters, but if you go through Reed and Lisa you will NOT be disappointed...the staff treats you like gold, the food is awesome, the drinks are free - flowing, the accomodations are wonderful, and they truly want you to have an amazing time. We spend most of our time on Serenity Beach which is closed off to members only (which is the status you are given if you book with Reed and Lisa) and it was totally amazing. There were maybe 10 other people on that beach and they had so many hammocks and beds to lay on looking out over the ocean it is beautiful. We made some great friends down there and had a ton of fun! It was our honeymoon and my birthday, so on the night of my bday we went out to dinner at one of the VIP restaurants. They came out with an entire cake and sang to me...my husband had no idea it was happening either; earlier that morning someone came around to ask us about our vacation and how it was going, and we just mentioned that I was celebrating my birthday. Come to find out he took care of letting the restaurant know so they had something for me (with icing saying Happy Birthday on it). The welcome party was a blast with all the entertainment and dancing. It is a must, for us anyways, that we stayed in the villas because having our own pool was awesome. The other pools on the premesis close at 7, and majority of the time we wanted a dip after we came back from dinner. We tried the Waterfalls excursion (1/2 day) and it is well worth it if you like adventure. We also did Ocean World and swam with the dolphins and sea lions. If you are looking for a relaxing and fun, laid back vacation...this is it. Go through Reed and Lisa...they hook you up and are the best renters to rent it from. Had a blast, and we definitely want to go back maybe in a couple of years with our friends.

Beautiful Resort Excellent service

Review submitted: July 25, 2011   Date of arrival: July 13, 2011

I went to this amazing resort 2 weeks ago. It was absolutely breath taking it was everything I imagined it to be. The service, staff and locals were really nice and accommodating. I'd definitely go back again. Ocean World was also a nice added touch. We got to swim with the dolphins and they also offer snorkeling and a host of other water sports. They also offer a host of water sports at the resort. We did the Big Mable and Parasailing. Others in our party did the banana boat, snorkeling and kayaking. Thursday night show at Ocean World was really nice! The food was good some of the restaurants that I would recommend would be Bellini Chicken Parm and Veggie Pizza was awesome, The hookah lounge called The Spot Was very nice and chic! Jazz the gourmet restaurant served really good filet mignon and Lamb chops! Also serenity beach was relaxing and beautiful. Harmony beach as well they have swinging beds! Overall our villa was spacious, clean and met all of our expectations. We all loved the private pool. It's definitely a resort that is kid friendly and could easily be a family trip.

Amazing Experience!!

Review submitted: June 22, 2011   Date of arrival: June 12, 2011

Just got back from my very first trip to the Dominican Republic and although I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in the past, Lifestyle Vacation Resorts was by far the best experience ever! We definately enjoyed our 3 bedroom villa with all the amenities. The weather, beaches, food, liquor and staff were incredible. I definately felt pampered there. The shareholder, Reed, made sure all my needs were met and my concerns answered. I would definately recommend staying here and booking the Reed and Lisa because you will definately get VIP treatment. Booking thru other methods will not give you the same experience, as I have read through others experiences through Trip Advisor. Also, please remember this is a 3rd world country where most people live in poverty so staying at the Lifestyles Resorts is like staying at Four Seasons in the United States. If you come with that mindset and attitude then you will have a great time. Tip: Eat at Azul, Jazz and Simply Gourmet Restaurants!!

Recommended for: age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Owners response: Thanks for your review! It was nice that you made friends with some owners during your visit and were able to eat at Azul with them, because this is an owner’s only restaurant! We look forward to helping you with your return trip.

You Gotta Go!

Review submitted: June 8, 2011   Date of arrival: May 26, 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lifestyles and would like to go again. We loved having the swimming pool in the backyard, breakfast cooked daily, the many meal and drink choices, being on the beach and the alcohol delivered to our villas. We really enjoyed our waterfall tour, swimming with the dolphins at Ocean World and the availability of activities. We had a group of 21 and even the complainers couldn't come up with any major issues. Reed and Lisa were great to work with and I highly recommend them without hesitation. They were very attentive, addressed any concerns I had, quick to respond and the pricing was quite reasonable. The pictures were an accurate reflection of the villas and the resort. It was so nice having the gold bracelets as it does make a difference and gives you access to more exclusive areas on the resort. Many thanks to Reed and Lisa for a wonderful vacation!

A WONDERFUL TRIP!

Review submitted: May 26, 2011   Date of arrival: May 14, 2011

What can I say?!1 Reed and Lisa were great to work with in planning a vacation, which was a my trip to the Dominican. There were a total of 6 in all, w/ 2 flying on mid-week and Reed, along with Lisa couldn't have been more accomodating!! There were numerous changes in within my party and they were patient and gracious with all of that!
The house was gorgeous, as was the resort as a whole. The people working on the resort were also wonderful! From the concierge, to transportation, restaurant staff and in particular our maid, enhanced our vacation.
I would recommend Reed & Lisa to anyone, who's thinking about traveling to the Domincan and in particular, Puerto Plata. I'm sure Ieft some people out, but, not pursposefully.
Again, thankyou Reed & Lisa!!

A Wonderful Vacation

Review submitted: April 7, 2011   Date of arrival: March 26, 2011

My Husband and I brought our three children to the Dominican Republic for vacation during the last week of March. After carefully researching the different options, we decided to rent from Reed and Lisa. We are so glad that we did! After a few hiccups (being placed in a three bedroom when we reserved a four bedroom) everything fell into place. Our four bedroom villa was beautiful, the service was fantastic, and the location could not be better. We loved the exclusive beaches and pools, the restaurants were first rate, and everyone had a smile for us. Of the excursion we took, the highlights were ziplining and snorkeling at Paradise Island. We highly recommend this resort, and we really believe that renting from an owner is the way to go. It was great to be able to reach out to Reed and Lisa to have our issues resolved, their prices were much better than many of the other options we saw, and Reed and Lisa are lovely and responsive people. I would highly recommend them!

This vacation met and exceeded our expectations

Review submitted: March 31, 2011   Date of arrival: March 12, 2011

Our family is just back from our vacation and would recommend this vacation to others. There was 9 of us and we stayed in a 5 bedroom villa. The villa was perfect! It was exactly what we saw in the pictures. We took full advantage of all of the different pools and beaches liking each one for different reasons. The people at the resort were the friendliest we have ever encountered on a caribbean island (and we've been to many!). We don't have a single complaint and will visit again. I also have to say that working with Reed and Lisa on our vacation plans made this one of the easiest trips I've ever planned. Everything was exactly has they had described - no surprises! I highly recommend planning your vacation with Reed and Lisa!

Girls Getaway

Review submitted: February 26, 2011   Date of arrival: February 4, 2011

A group of women friends (and family) took the trip of a lifetime to the Dominican Republic--none of us had been there before. We absolutely loved the villa and the resort itself. It was a beautiful place to get away and relax, enjoy the sound of the ocean and meet people from all over the world. The pools were beautiful, but we spent much of our time around our own private pool. The Lifestyles staff were very friendly and courteous--we felt like royalty. Our villa was very close to the ocean, so we had easy access to the beach bar--with great food! I would advise anyone else going as a large group, to insure that the all-inclusive liquor delivery include more than 8 beers for 7 beer drinkers. Thanks to Madeline, our refrigerator was restocked more regularly. We had a great time and sure hope to go back again sometime.

A Little Bit of Paradise

Review submitted: January 21, 2011   Date of arrival: January 8, 2011

This price may sound too good to be true, but it is totally legit. The villas are part of a larger all-inclusive resort (you pay that fee for the all-inclusive services on arrival), so there are many beaches, pools, restaurants, and bars to choose from. We never left the resort complex, because our intent was to relax to the max, but there are all sorts of excursions available from the resort excursions office through local vendors. The resort staff was gracious, friendly, and helpful. You will find many listing for properties on this resort, but I would recommend you rent from Reed and Lisa. They were great to deal with, took care of everything, answered all our questions, and were quickly available by email or phone. Everything was exactly as they had described - no surprises. And a big plus is that their level of membership in the ownership of the resort will open doors for you - or more specifically, allow you to use beaches, bars and restaurants that other guests don't have access to. Having the golf cart was a real convenience, although it was also fun to walk around the various neighborhoods of the complex. The grounds are beautifully planted, clean and well maintained. The food was delicious - I'd recommend you be a bit adventurous and, for example, order the Grouper Vera Cruz or the BBQ Pork Ribs instead of the just the tacos at the Mexican Restaurant. You will need to make a dinner reservation for any restaurant except the buffet, so you know your table will be ready when you arrive. The resort is truly gratuity free - no one who helped made us feel at all like they expected a tip. We did tip our wonderful maid (who also cooked us breakfast every morning), and she was absolutely delighted. If you want a place to hang out, be pampered, and not have a single worry for your whole vacation, this is the spot. It would also be a great place for a family reunion - easy to come together, but so many activities to keep everyone happy. This resort felt much less crowded than a cruise ship. We had so much more private space - including our own pool - and every bedroom in the villa is en suite and with a balcony or large windows. So for the price and the offering, I'd say it is a much better deal than a Caribbean cruise. I am recommending this property to friends and family, and specifically Reed & Lisa as the people to rent from.

PERFECT

Just returned from the resort and could not be happier with the accommodations. Went with a large group and stayed in a 4 bedroom villa. Before going, we all thought that the place seemed too good to be true, but when we were greeted at the check-in with cocktails and cigars, we knew we were in the right place. The villa was beautiful, having our own pool was great, and the food and drinks were excellent. It was also so nice to have the VIP bracelets and golf cart. In addition, Reed and Lisa are so great and easy to work with. Have already given their information to several people and are planning to return soon!!!

Reed and Lisa: This was a great experience. The reservation process was easy and you were very amenable to our changes. The resort is beautiful, the staff was helpfull. We were upgraded to a 4 bedroom villa upon arrival. A little rain, but what do you expect in February on the north coast. Overall we will be back.

We just came back from Lifestyles and I had a great time. Reed and Lisa were great at getting things done on such short notice! I appreciate all that they did for us. Rooms were great! This Spa suite area is not good for people who can't go up stairways or have trouble with walking. I am grateful I found Reed and Lisa's web-site. They were very helpful.

January 2010: My husband and I have been traveling the last week of January for the past 19 years. This was our 2nd trip to the Lifestyle Holiday Vacation Club. Our first experience was in 2009 as guest members under a gold membership. The property and amenities were beyond comparison of any other accommodations we have ever had! After making a conscious decision not to become members, we decided to put the different level of memberships to the test in 2010. We intentionally searched out a Platinum Supreme Member, which in turn lead us to Reed and Lisa. I knew after the first call from Reed that we would not just be a business transaction.I explained that this would be a return trip and what we were looking for. Both Reed and Lisa took every step to ensure us that our expectations as guest under their membership would be met. All the arrangements were handled from their end from the reservation to transportation to and from the airport, and everthing in between. Reed and Lisa were very accessible, and made sure we had a representative name on site as well as their personal phone numbers. The villa fell short of our expectations based on our experience the year before. Our concerns were voiced though the rep as well as Reed and we were moved to a 2 bedroom Presidential Suite . This suite was breath taking from the furnishings to the spectacular views of the water and the beautiful grounds. The staff were a name badge that states"WE WORK FOR YOU".
This is an understatement !!! We will return next year, and we will book through Reed and Lisa again. We had a wonderful time.

I would like to start out by saying ive done some pretty extensive traveling, but ive never been as impressed with an "over-all" experience as I was with the trip Reed and Lisa helped me plan. Ive had my fair share of bait-n-switch and other foolishness through the years so im always weary when im booking a new trip, but I have to say Reed and Lisa made my experience just fantastic from hello to goodbye. They helped me plan my trip and select an accomodation type that would best suit my party. Gave me an honest accurant description of the property right down to little personal advice about the area. The Lifestyle property is hands down one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The two bedroom Presidential was absolutely gorgeous. I especialy enjoyed the extra BENEFITS! we recieved by being guest of an Platinum owner. There was a guy with a name plate waiting for us at the airport. We had access to all of the V.I.P. owner areas like the V.I.P. world and V.I.P. beach, ALL the restaurants including the one you have to make reservations at, just to give you a hint into the quality the menus looked like regular menus but when you opened them they had lcd screens inside displaying the menu..WOW! All drinks including top shelf. There was nothing like laying on a super comfortable outdoor bed directly on the beach, fully waited upon. It was just simply excellent. I enjoyed DR and Lifestyle's property so much that I have already booked a second trip. If you where on the fence about rather you can trust Reed and Lisa, and/or the quality of Lifestyles property, I hope I was able to help you make your decession. If you were just browsing through gathering research when you happened upon my comment definatly book mark Prestige Worldwide, take it from someone who doesn't have an horse in the race. Feel free to e-mail me if anyone has any questions or concerns, Reed and Lisa have taken such good care of me and my family that it would be an honor to be able to share that with others. Thank you Reed, Thank you Lisa.

We had a great stay at Lifestyle despite some initial issues. Reed was very helpful in resolving the problems we had. We met some terrific people there, and had a great time. Food was reasonable and drinks were everywhere. Weather was beautiful, even during the so called rainy season

I would like to thank Reed and Lisa for all that they did to make our vacation possible. When I first spoke with Reed on the phone, I knew that I was dealing with someone I could trust. He did not let me down. They delivered on everything that they promised, respondly promptly to my emails, answered all of my questions, and offered some fantastic advice.

At the resort we had a fantastic housekeeper that made perfect over-easy eggs and a wonderful omelette. The VIP beach was great, and the service their was excellent. We ended each day with a nightly dip in the private pool. What a relaxing vacation!

Reed and Lisa were excellent to deal with - accurate and honest in their information and quick to answer any questions we had. Lifestyles Resort is truly breathtaking. The service was outstanding, the food absolutely delicious, the drinks so yummy, and the villa was extraordinary! Having the golfcart made things even more fun too. Everything about our holiday was wonderful, but some of the extra special adventures we had with our two daughters were searching for magnificent sea glass on the beach each day, watching the sea horses gather around the anchor ropes on our snorkeling trip with the PADI crew (see the little booth down by the Tropical pool area), making our very own banana splits on BBQ nite at the CasaBlanca restaurant, and galloping up the lush hills on horseback (see the 'horseman' by the Tropical pool area). We will DEFINITELY book with Reed and Lisa again!

Our villa (#60) exceeded our expectations. The VIP status is a must, also a golf cart. The resort strives for happy vacationers, and does a great job. If relaxing is your goal, this is the place for you. Everything was as promised on the website, or better. From the original e-mail inquiring about the rental, to the check in, to the departure, everything went perfect. I would recommend this rental to everyone. One thing I want to point out though, the bottles of mama juana the sales reps at the villa gave us were confiscated by customs, because we didn't add any alcohol to them. So if you get any mama juana, make sure to have the bartenders add the alcohol or you cannot take them out of the country.

Reed,

Just wanted to let you know we just returned from the DR and the resort was everything you said it would be and more. The landscaping surrounding the villas is exceptional. We had a 4 bedroom villa which was outstanding. The maid who cooked us our breakfast every day was a pleasure. The employees really go out of their way to give you whatever you ask for. They even gave us a bottle of Baileys after my wife told them she liked to have that in her morning coffee. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the property aroumd each villa which afforded us all the privacy we could ask for. The restaurants were great especially the Gourmet Restaurant. They even gave us an extra helping of filet mignon with our lobsters! You were a pleasure to deal with and it is refreshing to know that you can still get more than you ask for when dealing with someone over the internet. I have already recommended you to all of our friends and coworkers! I appreciate you being a man of your word. Thank you for everything.

We stayed in the villa for 5 nts, and it definitely was not long enough. The villa, the chef coming in and cooking breakfast, the private pool right outside the back door all was great. We especially enjoyed the people, who were very friendly and always willing to help you with anything. We will go back!

Our villa vacation experience in the Dominican Republic was beyond belief! Our villa included a private pool, chef who cooked us breakfast every morning, and access to the most beautiful pool and beaches in the Caribbean. We can’t wait to go back and bring our friends and family with us! - Scott and Marianne Kranker, Los Alamos, NM
