Beautiful Lake View

Review submitted: February 3, 2014   Date of arrival: January 1, 2014

This was a very cute town house on a very pretty lake. You could watch fire works from one of the parks every night at 8PM. There is a restaurant next door, you can walk to that had good food and fair prices. The customer service was very good. The location was great right near Disney, Epcot, Universal, the water parks, banks, restaurants etc. The town house supplies every thing you may need while away from your home. The bad part is the traffic. When trying to get on to Turkey Lake Road there should be a caution light or better means of getting across to the other side of the street when you need do. The traffic on I4 and Sand Lake Rd was so very bad. Dangerously bad. Some road engineering needs to be done to re-route non vacationers because people who live there permanently don't have any patience for vacationers trying to find a road , grocery store etc, they just as soon run you off the road. They will blast the horn at you and flip the bird. I learned to just smile and wave at them. I think that bothers them more. That was our main problem, the traffic. My concern was for people with children vacationing and having to drive in the traffic there.

Owners response: Thank you for your positive comments about the townhome!

Good discussion about traffic too. Your concern for traffic is common no matter where you stay in Orlando! Kissimmee is even worse. Our cities do not have a good mass transportation system. Many requests come in asking if getting around without a car is possible - it's possible but not easy which is why there is so much traffic!

The comment about safety of people with children having to drive here is the same issue. We have over 55 MILLION visitors to Orlando every year. Most are here with their children for the thrill of Disney, SeaWorld and Universal. One good point is that with heavy traffic, cars move slower in general and our traffic accident count is very low. Turkey Lake Road, the street where the townhome entry is, has a street light just a block away, so patience when waiting to get on the road is your best bet. There will be a break in the traffic at regular intervals.

About the townhome location - you DO NOT HAVE TO GET ON THE bumper to bumper Interstate 4 to get to any of those parks, restaurants, stores or shopping! That's one of the reasons many guests rate the location 5 star. You can even walk to the open 24 hour Wal-Mart and there are well lighted sidewalks. With an on-site restaurant and at the resort next door with a market and deli, you don't even need to leave the property for food.

Taxi service is available and quick to pick up. Orlando is building a tri-rail system to ease the load from the airport to Disney and for local commuters. It's about three years out but Orlando city fathers recognize the problems and are working to improve our roads.

When you visit best advice is to GPS where you are going or plan your route using maps included in the welcome brochure before you get on the road. Many people come here from more rural areas and are not used to so much road activity. Tourists will cut over 5 lanes and locals realize that - we do try to watch out for typical lost souls on the road. Tourists need to watch out for each other too! Sorry someone was so rude to you. It's very rare for people to honk their horns in our town. Most folks find that after a day or so they know their routes and the closer you can stay to whatever park you are visiting the better. Guests will find the townhome location is great.

Great Location, quiet community

Review submitted: August 7, 2013   Date of arrival: July 26, 2013

Purchased this condo for my parents anniversary gift to Disneyworld. The owner is extremely responsive and answered my questions as I booked the unit. Pet friendly, which allowed my parents the choice to bring their dog or not. My parents said the location was perfect - only a few minutes from DisneyWorld and and easy on/off exit. Somehow, they could not hear any freeway traffic from the condo! They loved how quiet it was. During their trip, they had a question about the condo and the owner had provided her phone number and was extremely responsive to them. Received refund of deposits promptly. Overall, excellent experience!

Hi Gayle! In spite of cool temperatures, we had a great time in Orlando. It was a great way to spend some time with my daughter before she headed back to college.
Your townhome worked out perfectly for us. It was very clean and quiet and the location was great. Thank you for the quick refund of our security balance.

Thanks again,

We had an excellent season in the condominium. The rooms were spacious, well cleaned, with excellent beds and very comfortable.
In addition, we had a supermarket nearby.
We have no hesitation in recommending this site to anyone who wants to spend a vacation in Orlando.

What a great start to our honeymoon!

Review submitted: February 5, 2010   Date of arrival: December 26, 2009

We cannot thank you enough for hosting us in Orlando. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The townhouse was such fun - like having a vacation home of our own. David liked to go down to the lake every morning and watch the birds drying their wings and the fish jumping. It was quiet there too and I liked that there is a guard at the gate house. We felt comfortable and safe. We'll always remember our stay - worked out great to take the cruise from nearby Cocoa Beach too!
