Joseph - We greatly enjoyed our stay in your apartment in such a trendy area. Not having been to NYC for some time, my wife and I wanted to explore parts of Manhattan that were new to us, and your place was the perfect location. We researched a list of promising restaurants before our visit, and were delighted to find that all but one of them were within walking distance of your place - some just around the corner. And how nice to have the Hi-Line park, Chelsea Market and Washington Square just steps away. On the one day with what turned out to be a record rainfall, we hustled two blocks to the 14th Ave. Subway stop (using your huge umbrellas), spent the day in Museums uptown, then came back to dinner at a Hudson Street restaurant (Frankie's) where we watched the torrential rainfall continue into the evening. A five minute break in the rain was all we needed to get back to your apartment.

We did a lot of walking - to the 9/11 Memorial, Little Italy, Katz's Deli, a Broadway play and to restaurants and other venues in SoHo, Greenwich Village and NoHo. Often returning late at night, we were surprised at how active and vibrant your neighborhood restaurants and clubs are in the wee hours - all without being disruptive or noisy. Another surprise - the number of Parks and street trees in your area - it made even the warmest days much more pleasant.

We also want to thank you for your personal attention to our stay. We appreciated your meeting us upon arrival, and your phone call the following day to make sure everything in the apartment was to our satisfaction. Your hospitality helped make our visit one to remember.

This apartment was exactly as advertised, a beautiful one bedroom unit which can sleep 4 comfortably. We were fortunate to rent this particular unit because it's so well located to the High Line, Chelsea Market, Bleeker St. shops and restaurants, the subway, and the Meat Packing district scene. We couldn't have been happier with the unit and particularly appreciated Joseph's help with orienting us to the area as it was our first visit to NYC. We would definitely rent this unit again for future visits. Highly recommended.

great little apartment in a perfect location

We booked this apartment on the back of the almost universally positive reviews on this site. We were not disappointed.
It's exactly as described and depicted in the photographs, situated in the heart of the West Village and surrounded by every amenity you could wish for. It is well equipped, comfortably furnished, and great value.
We arrived latish on a Sunday evening and Joseph was there to greet us, very welcoming and full of useful advice.
Our week in the city was pretty full-on, we walked for miles and returned to this haven to relax before heading out again. The neighbourhood feels very safe, we never felt any disquiet about coming home after midnight.
All in all a very pleasant stay and we'd certainly consider it again next time we're back in NYC.
Oh, and the security deposit was refunded to our account before we'd even left the airport! Thanks Joseph...

Absolute PERFECT Apartment….

this rental location is in a perfect location to explore New York, very close to subways and buses, only 2 blocks from the wonderful Highline and near some very great restaurants. we started each day with coffee at the nearby Think cafe, ate in 2 of the restaurants recommended by the owner and found great food markets nearby. the apartment was very clean and comfortable and the neighbourhood felt very safe.

We had a terrific time during our stay at your Hudson St. apartment. The apartment itself was exactly as described and pictured. It is comfortable and user friendly, we cooked breakfast each day we were there and found the kitchen to be well equipped. The beds were extreemly comfortable.

The location was great and convenient to the Highline as well as subway stops and great resturants. We got some free entertainment around the corner while we watched them shoot an episode of the TV show BLUE BLOODS, it was a hoot.

Our dealings with Joseph were pleasant and professional. We especially appreciated him helping us to park in front of the building while we unloaded our car on Friday afternoon. We would definitely stay there again the next time we come to the city.

We wish to thank you for a great week's stay in your West Village apartment.

What a great location, so convenient to everything whether you walk or take the underground. 14th street station took us to anywhere we wanted to go in just a few short minutes. We went to ground zero memorial one day and to 42nd street a few times and saw two Broadway shows. There are some great restaurants within walking distance on W4th Ave. Also we enjoyed going to Chelsea Market just up the road to get fresh bread and an assortment of good cheeses.

The apartment was ideal and suited us perfectly. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook with in the kitchen. We did stay in and cook two nights, and enjoyed the relaxation on the comfy couch watching TV with a glass of wine.

Joe welcomed us with such hospitality. We arrived early, but that was not a problem with him. He was there to let us in and show us around the apartment, and answer any questions that we had. He was available by phone, anytime we needed him. A storm was coming in the day we were to leave for LaGuardia airport, and he told us that if we couldn't get out on our flight we could stay an extra night and leave the next day. Luckily we didn't have to do that, but how nice was that?

This is the Place to Stay

We had a great time on our second visit to The Big Apple. This apartment made our time spent in NY easy to get around mostly by walking or by the Metro. We were comfortable and very safe!! This apartment had all the essential amenities that were required for comfort and a place to rest in quietness. We rarely heard any noise from other people in or outside the building. The building was clean and well kept.

The area is very beautiful and charming. There are a lot of Fabulous Restaurants in the neighborhood. We even say a number of well know actors walking about the area. We were close to everything we wanted to see and do.

Our dealings were handled very professionally from our first e-mail to the quick refund of our deposit.

We would recommend The Village Flats to our friends or anyone that wants a quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay while visiting NY.

Lovely Apartment, Great Location

Hi Joseph,
We are back in Australia and trying to get back to reality. Thank you so much for your help and kindness during our 2 week stay. It was great to meet you on our arrival and be given the helpful advice/ instructions. We loved staying in the apartment which was just perfect for our time in NY. The apartment was very clean and quiet and in a convenient place for everything. There are plenty of great places to eat, do laundry and shop. Bedding was extremely comfortable. The area is much more low key than busy crowed uptown and we started to feel like locals by the end. At the same time it is very convenient to subway and all the places we wanted to see.

We found some great places to eat such as: Bus Stop Café good breakfast spot
Frankies, Meme, Mexican Mama, Philip Maurie all on Hudson St
Pastis, August, Café Angelique, Hummus Place on Bleeker St
Chelsea Market and Westside market on 14th Street were good for supplies for the couple of nights we ate in.

I appreciated the quick return of the deposit.
Thanks again for letting us stay and we are already planning our next trip. Maybe 3 weeks next time!!

A Must place to Stay

We just got back from our long trip across the US east coast. We had a great vacation!

We stayed at 3 different rentals for our holiday across the U.S. and was by far the best of all! Thanks for refunding the deposit so quickly. We felt really at home at the flat for our week stay! It was quite larger than anticpated, very clean, cozy, had everything we needed and it was surprisingly quiet for Manhattan.

We really loved the location of the flat. The fancy meatpacking district and the amazing High Line Park are just around the corner and Being right in the center of it all in Greenwich Village. We frequently went to the grocery store on 14th and also used the subway station at 14th Stwhich is only 2 blocks away. It was nice to have so many options for dinner or call-out in the evenings when we were tired and our feet were sore. We liked Village Pizza a lot. We also appreciated having Wi-Fi and cable TV.

Our dealings were uncomplicated and we always got really quick replies to our emails. We were personally welcomed and shown around the flat, although we arrived before the official check-in time.

We'll certainly be back in New York at some point and we'd be happy to stay at your apartment again! And We I highly recommend the lovely apartment to all.

Great Place, Exactly as Described

I rented this condo for a long weekend to attend a wedding in NYC. It is exactly as shown in the photos and exactly as described. Truly better than expected.
Very clean, quiet and nicely furnished, having very comfortable beds. A true deal for the price.

The location is fabulous as the neighborhood is quite beautiful. It was packed with amazing restaurants, shopping with unique merchandise (great for gifts). There were night clubs and art galleries just around the corner. Very convenient to Subway only 2 blocks away.

In short, I’ve rented many properties in NYC many times as I travel there several times for business and this was the best I’ve experienced. From my first e-mail to the quick return of my deposit.

I highly recommend this condo and it will be my first choice to stay there again.

The place was perfect -- My daughter and I stayed at this wonderful apartment. The place was very clean and well set up for a Manhattan apartment, Everything we needed was there and was exactly ad described in the posting. Also, the sleeper sofa was just as comfortable as a nice bed for rest; the high quality mattress made a huge difference.

We loved the neighborhood it was just great. Safe, close to the subway and buses, lots of restaurants and shops all around the West Village having that true feeling of the uniqueness and coolness that New York City has to offer.

You were a great – available when we wanted to talk to you, and they were a great source of ideas about places of interest to see, and shop. I’d definitely come back.

What an amazing find on VacationRentals.com great site. This was our first time to rent a vacation rental on-line, we always strayed at hotels (not any more!).

This apartment was a “True Gem” Very well kept, clean, quiet and nicely decorated.
Exactly as described. The best value we had found (and boy we looked at a lot).
The apartment had all we needed. WiFi, Cable TV, fully stocked kitchen and all so comfortable beds.

The area just so charming with the upper class New York feel. Great restaurants, art galleries and fun designer boutiques.

Complete satisfaction with this condo we rented for our one week vacation in New York. Is is just lovely. Very clean, quaint and affordable. The neighborhood was very pretty and we felt totally safe arriving late from our evening excursions. Convenience with everything needed being right around the corner (restaurants, night clubs, food stores, Subway, Laundromat and the lovely High Line Park) The owner was so friendly and accommodating. Overall I was so very pleased that we chose to call it home for our week in NYC!!!

I would definitely and have already recommended this condo.

Thank you, our recent stay in your apartment was very enjoyable. The apartment itself was perfect for us, clean and quiet. It had absolutely everything we needed, WiFi and that big TV was a major plus for us after long days spent hitting the city. Your apartment was very comfortable especially the mattresses.

The location of the apartment is awesome – we always felt safe, close to NY’s great local designer fashion shops and supermarkets, hip night clubs. There are so many cool little boutiques and excellent restaurants steps from the front door. It is only a few blocks from the Hudson River Park and there is a lovely park where we had a picnic lunch – “the views are spectacular!”

We were very close to all major subway lines, just a block and a half away and ample cabs to grab.

Joe very helpful in showing us everything that the neighborhood had to offer and all necessary services.

I look forward to hopefully renting your apartment again and happily recommend it to others.

The apartment was fabulous and the neighborhood could not have been better. It was so close to the subway we could jet around to anywhere at any time. We payed for only the cab to and from the airport - no other cabs in NYC! $29 for a 7 day MTA pass and we saved a ton of money. There is a great grocery nearby, fruit vendors on the corners, diners and restaurants within steps, shopping, the Chelsea Market and our favorite - the High Line Park. This was a quiet oasis to come back to after exploring the crowded city. The night scene was close but not obnoxiously so. The apartment was quiet for sleeping and had all the amenities necessary for a great stay. It is however, on the fifth floor with no elevator. After a long tourist day that was quite a haul but then again I had no guilt about ordering desert! I paid for my extra calories on those stairs and ordered cheese cake the next day. Bonus. Joseph was great and helpful. He was there to meet us and gave us tips and directions - all spot on. One more note: Google maps shows a construction site across the street - I was worried. But when we got there it was a park! Brand new and great for our toddler plus no construction noise. I was very relieved. We would highly recommend this apartment for a great neighborhood feel type of visit to the big city.

We are a family of 4 that had vacationed in NYC many, many times. This is the first time we stayed at this apartment in the West Village. Our stay was for 15 days.

This apartment is very lovely and far exceeded our expiations, the photos do not do it justice. Plenty of room for our whole family. Nice décor, Clean and very quiet.
We had everything we could need or want. The beds were extremely comfortable. The Kitchen was supplied with everything so we could cook for ourselves from time to time. WiFi which was very helpful planning our activities. There are also a number of travel guides to NYC in the apartment which was also useful.

Our family loved the location for its charm and convenience. The subway was just a block around the corner. There are fabulous night clubs, restaurants, comedy clubs and shopping all in the neighborhood.

Our dealings and all arrangements we handled in a swift and very professional manor.

For a great all around experience We HIGHLY RECOMMEND and suggest that this is the place to stay.

Our 2nd Stay Here

It was my pleasure to rent this apartment from Joseph for a second time for a 2 week stay.
He makes everything easy in terms of payment and is most helpful and accommodating all our needs. I was pleased to find the apartment in very good condition once again. It is clean and comfortable, easily big enough for 4 people and the beds are in great shape and very comfortable.

We absolutely love the location, as it is close to everything we might need or want, including coffee shops, top notch restaurants, stores and the subway. It is also extremely quiet, which (having stayed in very noisy locations in the past) is so nice to come back to after a crazy day in NYC. I will continue to recommend this apartment to friends and family and would not hesitate to rent it in the future.

Amazing

Sorry we missed you yesterday. We had an amazing week in New York. It’s an incredible city and we packed in a lot of activity – 3 Broadway shows, many of the major sites, including Ground Zero, Staten Island, the United Nations, a tour of Harlem, and a food and cultural tour of Nolita/NoHo; the MOMA, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Centre, jazz at the Empire Hotel, Brooklyn Bridge, the High Line...yada yada.... And what can we say about eating in New York. The food experience there is second to none. We have done quite a bit of travelling but New York is the only place where I gain weight no matter how much we walk and we figured out that we walked about 90 km according to my pedometer.

About the apartment – it was perfect. The location was amazing. We absolutely loved walking everywhere in the area and the blue subway line was the best route for us. Our metro cards were well worn by the end of the trip. Mara is already planning her next trip to New York – she never stopped exploring from the minute we arrived. She’s is hoping she can stay at the same apartment.

We were delighted with the apartment which fulfilled our desire to live as real New Yorkers. We had everything we needed to cater for ourselves and with the fantastic Chelsea Market just on our doorstep we enjoyed some lovely breakfast ingredients.

The area was buzzing every night with a brilliant party atmosphere and we made very good use of the large number of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment. A particular joy was being so close to the magnificent High Line, which gave us a new perspective on the New York skyline. A great holiday.

absolutely perfect

The apartment was absolutely perfect in every way, and just as described. Plenty of room for the 3 of us, clean, had everything we needed. The area was grea!!! quick 2 block walk to subway, lots of coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants nearby – and right off the high line, which was great for a morning run.

Joe is extreemly professional in all our dealings. He kept in contact throughout the process making out transaction very easy. He greeted us personally when we arrived, informing us about the area and all the great stuff to do in NYC.

Perfect NYC Location

I came to New York to run in the half marathon and wanted to extend my stay to 9 days. It was the perfect location and having a full kitchen for an extended stay was fabulous. The service was amazing and I thank Joseph for being such a generous host. He accommodated my very early arrival and late checkout which is almost impossible at a hotel. It made such a huge difference to my trip. Some great things about the location:

1. I joined Crunch Gym for one week which was a 5 minute walk from the flat.
2. If you want nightlife the trendy Meat Packing District is just around the corner
3. Lots of restaurants: The Standard, Mole, Caminos, Fatty Crab...endless
4. Christopher Street Subway gets you to Central Park quickly
5. Take a walk down Bleeker and you will discover so many great shops
6. Wine stores everywhere with lots of selection
7. A great drop off laundry service (ABC) half a block from the flat
8. A neighborhood feel! I have been to NYC 5 times and this was the best.

Truly Fabulous Apt and Amazing Service!

We like to first thank Joe for such a warm welcome into your condo on Hudson. We were a family of 4 that stayed at his wonderful apartment for a week. The place was very clean and well set up for a Manhattan apartment and was exactly ad described in the posting. We loved the restaurants all around (Tavern on Joe was great with dinner by the fireplace); the West Village has that unique feeling of coolness to it that inspired us throughout our stay. Also, the sleeper sofa was just as good as a nice bed for rest; the high quality mattress made a huge difference and the condo can truly sleep 4 adults comfortably.
The deposit was refunded extremely quickly in fact it was back in to our paypal account when we arrived home from the airport.

Thx again and we look forward to coming back to it next time in NYC

Excellent Service, Great Apartment

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for a week in December. The service was excellent. And the apartment was exactly how it was pictured, and for NY standards quite roomy. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was functional and well equipped, and the apartment was clean. The best aspect of the apartment is the neighborhood. We have stayed Mid-Town/Murray Hill on other trips, but I absolutely love the West Village now. Just so many great places in short walking distance; numerous coffee shops, popular restaurants, amazing shopping on Greenwich Ave and Bleecker St. The Chelsea Market is a couple of blocks away, and the Subway too. The owners met us when we arrived, accommodated an early arrival which was most helpful, told us about the neighborhood, and were just so friendly and pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend this apartment and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing apartment in an amazing location!

My experience staying at Joe's flat was amazing! The apartment is clean, cozy and in the best location in all of Manhattan in my opinion! Joe was extremely responsive before, during and after our stay. He answered any questions we had and was so accommodating.

Just outside the apartment door are two of the best neighborhoods in the city. Walk to your left and you're in the Meatpacking District! Walk a few minutes in the other direction and you're in the heart of the West Village. My boyfriend and I enjoyed strolling through the neighborhoods more than anything and felt like we lived in NY for a few days while staying at Joe's apartment.

The apartment looks exactly as pictured. It's very cozy and quiet at night as it faces away from the street. Overall our experience was wonderful and we will definitely stay again the next time we're in NYC! Thank you Joe for such a wonderful experience and being a great host!

Amazing Apartment, Beautiful Location

Clean, Quiet, Amazing Apartment! Felt like a true New Yorker! There was everything you could need for a great vacation. The apartment was nicely decorated, quiet and VERY Clean. Extremely comfortable beds, HD Cable TV and High speed WIFI.
Having the whole apartment to yourself for half the cost, tops having a small expensive hotel room.

The area was perfect, we felt very safe, with beautiful tree lined streets and old New York charm. Great restaurants, night clubs and shopping.

Our dealings were very professional, quick in answering any questions we may had right thru the end of a fast prompt refund of our deposit.

We highly recommend this apartment to all!

BEST of the BEST !

My family of 4 stayed at this magnificent apartment for 20 days while my daughter attended ballet school.
The apartment was very comfortable, immaculately clean and large enough to accomodate our entire family. It provided all that we required and needed from FREE WiFi and HDTV service and a fully equipped kitchen to clean linins and towels. Right in NYC’s trendy West Village Meat Packing Area. We loved the SAFE and historic feel of the neighborhood. Such an easy walk to the subway lines, Hudson River, the High Line and Chelsea Markets. We felt very safe during our stay and the close convenience to the subway was perfect!

The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and the beds were extremely comfortably. Joe was extremely accommodating and made our transactions and arrival very easy. This is superior apartment in an amazing location! We definitely, highly recommend it to everyone coming to New York.

My 2 friends and I stayed here in late June for 10 days. After reading the previous reviews, this place is 100% exactly what people have written. The apartment was lovely, spacious and conveniently located to all that New York has to offer! We loved the chic feel of the neighbourhood and the easy walk to Hudson River, the High Line and Chelsea Markets. We felt very safe during our stay and the close convenience to the subway was perfect!

The apartment was well kept and the beds super comfy. Joe was extremely accommodating and even arrived at the very early hours of the morning to greet us on our arrival. A great apartment that we would definitely use again and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to New York.

The description of this apartment was 100% accurate. The reviews (99% excellent) were 100% correct, 5-stars!

Joe's personal welcome, guidance and willingness to answer questions were top notch!
I have vacationed in NYC 40 separate times over the years and this was the single best lodging experience I have ever had. I've stayed in everything from hostels to $400-per-night hotels, from Midtown to Morningside Heights, and nothing comes close to this accommodation.

The apartment was super clean, comfortable and cozy. The 500+ count sheets, the HD TV, our own dishes made us feel like we were at home.

The location was perfect. I had never stayed in Greenwich Village before and really enjoyed the peacefulness in contrast to the NYC you picture in your head. Shops and eateries all around, and transportation a skip away.
All around great place that my fiance and I highly recommend.

This apartment was more than what we expected. It was in a wonderful, very quiet and convenient location. The subway was only 2 blocks away to get on and go anywhere we wanted in the city. The owners were so helpful and dependable. They really went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable having a bunch of tourist guides right in the apartment and suggesting things to do wile in NYC. The apartment was extremely clean, well stocked, and cozy after busy, fast days in the city. I can't say enough, We can't wait to go to go back to NYC and stay in this great apartment. What a great all around experience!

Great Experience All Around

We spent 17 days at this very lovely apartment. It felt like home away from home. It is very clean, amazingly quiet and decorated very nicely. It had everything we could need. Extremely comfortable beds and Very nice high quality sheets, blankets and towels. A fully stocked kitchen, Wi-Fi, HD television with cable service.

The location is perfect, amazing restaurants, art galleries, night clubs, great shopping,
Beautiful parks and some tourist sights just a few steps out the front door. The subway was only 2 blocks away which saved us money instead of having to take cabs everywhere.

Joe was very professional in all our dealings, giving us updates thru the rental process. Greeting us personally at the apartment when we arrived and suggesting to us what to do and see while in NYC.

We highly recommend this apartment to all.

Lovely Apartment, Great Location

There were 4 of us that stayed at this apartment for 2 weeks. Much better and cheaper than staying in a cramped Hotel room.

This apartment is very lovely. Nice décor, clean and very quiet. Having everything we could need. The most comfortable beds we ever slept on, all kitchen supplies so we could cook for ourselves sometimes. Great High Def Television with a lot of channels as well as Wi-Fi which was very helpful planning our activities. There were also a bunch of travel guides to NYC in the apartment already which was also useful.

We felt very SAFE in the location even coming home very late at night which was often. There are fabulous night clubs, restaurants, comedy clubs and shopping all in the neighborhood.

Dealings directly with Joe all our questions and arrangements we handled in a swift and very professional manor.

We all agree this is a great place to stay.

Reall Nice and Quiet Apartment

The 2 of us stayed at this lovely apartment for 9 days. The apartment was very quiet and clean. It had everything that one could need for a great vacation. High speed internet access, cable HDTV, all cooking supplies and was nicely decorated. We felt very comfortable and at home here.

The location was perfect in the very active, charming West Village of NYC.
The subway was very close to the apartment and taxi access was readily available when we stepped out the apartment door.
The West Side Piers Park on the Hudson River only 3 blocks from the apartment was beautiful with water taxies around Manhattan Island.

We were right in the Center of It All and had a great stay.

This is the place to stay for a great vacation experience.

This NYC West Village apartment was a Fabulous place to stay for the 4 of us for a week.
It had everything that we needed. It was VERY clean and quiet. With beds that we the most comfortable we had ever slept in.

The area was very charming with that historic New York family neighbor hood charm. We felt very safe at all times even when we came in at very late hours.
The subway was only 2 blocks from the apartment and located centrally to all the
Tourist spots. There were great clubs, designer shops, and art galleries all with in the neighborhood.

Our dealings were very professional from start to finish.

We all agree, we highly recommend this spot to all for a great vacation experience and will definitely be back ourselves.

Perfect Apartment - Awesome Location

This apartment was perfect for our one week stay in NYC. It was spotless and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. What we enjoyed the most was the AWESOME LOCATION!!!!!! This apartment is situated in the Meat Packing District which is an incredibly trendy neighborhood filled with great shops, restaurants and bars. Everything was in walking distance including the subway station. We took advantage of the close proximity to the Hudson River Park for running every morning and loved seeing the Statue of Liberty off in the distance as the running trail took us south along the Hudson River towards the Financial District. The cobblestone streets, newly developed Highline Park and Chelsea Market were additional highlights of the neighborhood. We also enjoyed walking along Bleeker Street and checking out all of the unique shops, including the Magnolia Bakery. In spite of being in the centre of a very lively neighborhood, the apartment provided lots of peace and quiet at night. We will definitely return to this location on our next trip to NYC.

Excellent Choice

The three of us really enjoyed staying at the apartment as the beds were comfortable, the use of a kitchen kept our costs down and it was nice to relax watching HD TV after a long day and night enjoying all the NYC has to offer. The apartment is in a great location to walk around Greenwich and the Meatpacking district and to catch the subway or taxi. Joeseph was great to deal with and he would check in to see if everything was fine. We will definitely stay here again!

We are a family of 4 (with two adult children) this was our 6 vacation to NYC and Decided to stay at VillageFlatsNYC for the first time. The apartment was fantastic - with all the advantages of a hotel, and in NYC every restaurant and Deli delivers late so just like, or I should say “it’s better than room service”. The apartment is very clean, quiet and had everything we could need.

Being in a beautiful, Safe area of NYC. It is in one the most happening of areas and the subway is only 2 blocks away or just step outside the door and you can go to some great clubs, amazing restaurants and do specialty designer shopping. Plus do all the touristie things with ease.

Wonderful space and great area that we will definitely want to use again. And do highly recommend it to everyone planning a trip to NYC.

Joe and Rick were terrific, very professional, helpful, and responsive.

Perfect in Every Way

There were 4 of us visiting NYC for 10 days for the first time. We found renting a Flat was more cost effective then renting a Hotel room and we had a lot more space than in a small cramped Hotel.

We finally decided on Village Flats after we debated several flats with my mates.
Our choice could have not been better. The Flat itself was PERFECT for the four us.
It was very nicely decorated and had absolutely everything we needed, a High Def TV which was a major plus for us after long days spent hitting the city. The Flat was very comfortable especially the mattresses (Very important after a long day of taking in the sites.)

The location of the Flat is awesome! We always felt SAFE in the neighborhood.
We were so close to NY’s Subway System and with in walking distance to all we required. The area has great local designer fashion shops and supermarkets, hip night clubs, and NY’s best comedy club is just around the corner “Comix”.
There are so many excellent restaurants, cool little boutiques and art galleries all right out the door

Joseph was very helpful in showing us everything that the neighborhood had to offer and all necessary services. All our correspondences were handled professionally in a prompt manor.

We happily and very highly recommend this Flat to others.

Nice Quiet Apartment in an Amazing Area.

I had a great stay. Everything in the apartment is nice and is described accurately
in the ad and photos as placed in the Vacation Rentals site.
The apartment is very quiet and clean. The bed is extremely comfortable and offered great support for my bad back.

I was alone visiting my two sons and I felt very safe in the neighborhood where I could
Walk from Village Flats to my sons’ apartment, even late night.
In the neighborhood there is shopping, laundry, great restaurants and
even some interesting art galleries with unique exhibits.

Joseph was so patient in answering all my questions. He was even able to accommodate me when I had to extend my departure date with no problems.
He is very professional in all our dealings, from start to finish including a prompt refund of my deposit.

I highly recommend this apartment to all.

The "VillageFlats" apartment was a great find. The location was perfect for our planned excursions. The neighborhood was attractive and we felt safe. Traveling with my seven month pregnant daughter made this ever more important. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The bedding had a fresh scent that filled the apartment and the comfort of the queen bed so appealing I inquired as to the manufacturer! Joseph is professional and a gentleman. Lovely Flat, Amazing Location

There were 3 of us from London visiting New York City. It was very easy to work out the rental logistics with a prompt refund of the deposit. We rented Joes Hudson Street flat in New York City, The West Village. The flat was quite and great in every way. It was very clean and plenty of space of all of us. It is very lovely in its decor. The fireplace gave it a romantic quality and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The neighborhood is very safe and has lots of shopping and touristy things to do. There are great restaurants and drinking clubs all within a short walk.

It is a very short walk to the nearest subway, which we used several times daily.

Would rent from them again in a heartbeat!

Hi Joe,

Fabulous place to stay! My Husband, 2 teenage children and myself stayed at this lovely apartment over Christmas for a week. We had a fantastic time in NYC.
Our experience with Joe and Rick was far above and beyond our expectations. They are very friendly, professional, and helpful. The Apartment is very spacious for the 4 of us. It is beautifully decorated and very clean; you have everything you need and more.
The location is great; many amazing restaurants in the neighborhood, shopping boutiques and art galleries. And all the Subways lines are just two blocks from the apartment.

Being in this apartment is certainly a great way and the only way to stay in NYC!! Once again, thanks for the accommodation.

We highly recommend this apartment to everyone.

We made an excellent choice with this Village Flats NYC vacation rental. The location was FABULOUS--close to the subway and an easy walk to Chelsea, Greenwich Village, and the West End. The area has a quiet, safe neighborhood feel. We enjoyed getting breakfast at the Chelsea Market (3 blocks away) before experiencing all that this great city has to offer. The place was clean and the bed was really comfortable. We can't wait to come back.

Very Nice Clean Quiet Apartment

Thank you for the use of your lovely apartment. Our recent week stay in your apartment was enjoyable. The apartment was perfect for our family of four. The apartment itself was very clean and nicely decorated having everything we needed. The wireless internet connection was great to have to help plan our day seeing the tourist sites of NYC. Your apartment was very comfortable especially the mattresses (Very important after a long day being a tourist LOL.)

The location of your apartment is awesome – we always felt very safe, just out the front door are great NY’s restaurants, local designer fashion shops, supermarkets, and night clubs. We drove in from DC and had no problem parking on the street.

Joseph was very helpful in showing us everything that the neighborhood had to offer and all necessary services in the apartment.

We will happily recommend it to other and hopefully see you on our return visit.

Great Apartment in the Best Location

Hi Joe,

We just wanted to say Thank You for such a great stay! The location was excellent – right in Greenwich Villages’ Amazing Meatpacking District - lots of great restaurants, great shopping night clubs and more. Close to all subway lines! We felt Very Safe in the area and we were out late some nights.

The apartment was perfect for us - it was very clean and quiet. It was great to have a nice kitchen for breakfast and coffee in the morning. We will definitely make this our home from now on when we visit NYC! The Village is so charming with lots to do and it was nice to get away from the crowded craziness of some of the other parts of the city. If you want a great experience in “The Real City” - this is the place!

Thanks for the refund of our damage deposit. Matt and I had a fantastic time in New York and were very sad to leave. Thanks for being so professional in your dealings with us, it was our first time dealing direct with an owner rather than using a hotel and you made the process very smooth. We would definitely recommend the apartment for anyone coming to NYC.

The apartment was perfect for us, with everything you need and spotlessly clean, and it is surprisingly quiet when so much is going on in the streets around the area. The apartment is in a great area, plenty of restaurants, galleries, fashion boutiques, Chelsea Markets and the subway on 14th street. We will definitely come back, when next in NYC.

Really enjoyed staying at the apartment and hanging around that area. Lots of great restaurants and little pubs.

The apartment offers everything you need for a comfortable stay in New York, and the rate made it great value for money. The location in the Meatpackers/Chelsea Markets area is absolutely fabulous, step outside and you have excellent restaurant surrounding you, and a very short walk to subway, Hudson river walk/jogging path, and the Highline.

We had a great stay in your apartment. Loved it! It will remain my number one choice for future visits.
Great location in the West Village with so much to do and see, but also super easy to get to the subway
and the Highline walk is awesome.
The apartment itself was great, very clean and comfortable. I was surprised how quiet and cozy it was
when it was time to turn in. I honestly felt that I was getting an exceptional value.
I'm so appreciative of you and Rick making things as easy as possible for us. You guys are great and, in my
opinion, doing it 'just right'.

Thank you again for being very accommodating of both Shona and I. We had a wonderful holiday. We had spent 16 days at the apartment. The apartment was ideal for the 2 of us and is in the perfect location in regards to getting around New York. You have a subway virtually a block away and you are within walking distance to most central locations like Union Square, Chelsea Market, Bleecker St, Broadway etc. We appreciated your willingness to assist us in regards to payment as well as the very prompt return of our deposit at the end of our stay. We would both highly recommend anyone to stay at your apartment in the future and will be definitely be passing on your details to our friends and family.

Perfect in every way! Better than a 5 star hotel!

My two friends and I stayed in this West Village apartment for 3 days and the apartment made our stay in NYC perfect! Before arriving there we were a bit worried that the traffic noise would be a problem but the apartment was very quiet and very clean. The apartment had a fully stocked kitchen. The apartment is beautiful and seemed to have been renovated recently. It was great to have wireless internet made it easy to follow interesting events in the City on a daily basis. It was easy to get in contact with the owner for his assistant and all arrangements went very smoothly with a swift refund of our deposit after check out. We also got a lot of advice from the owner about restaurants, galleries, shopping etc. in the area and throughout NYC which was really value added to us. There were a number of travel guides and brochures to tourist sites to the city at the apartment for us to use.
But best of all was the great location of the apartment right in the West Village a neighborhood with old New York charm, tree lined cobblestone streets – close to subways, restaurants, supermarket, banks, coffee shops, walking distance to Chelsea, SoHo, Times Square, and Broadway. The apartment was indeed a perfect place to navigate the City! We’re already longing to go back to NYC and when we do we hope the apartment will be available for us!

A Wonderful NYC Apartment

A wonderful NYC apartment with great use of the space. Accommodations make for a very comfortable getaway. The pull-out couch has a mattress which is especially comfy. A fireplace in the center of the living room creates an inviting, warm atmosphere. The apartment is very clean and very well-maintain, including amenities of a large entertainment system and movies. There are also air-conditioners in the living room and bedroom for the warmer weather.
The owner provides wonderful customer service and is very hospitable. I have and will continue to recommend this apartment to friends.
The Hudson River is a short walk from the apartment with walking paths right along the river. The Chelsea Market is wonderful for all sorts of shopping. A delicious Japanese restaurant right down the block from the apartment,there are also many restaurants along the surrounding blocks. The White Horse Tavern is a great, historic bar and there are other opportunities for night life. A quick walk from the apartment will get you to the subway. Chelsea and The Village are close the apartment as well.

Very Clean & Comfortable, Great Area

My mom, son, and I stayed here. We LOVED the Apartment. It was so comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable with a high end mattress and 100% all cotton sheets. The decor was nice and tasteful. We made use of the fully stocked kitchen. It was convenient to have food stocked in fridge etc... when we came home. There is a grocery store on the two blocks away. Everything was Very Clean including the bathroom, there was plenty enough room for all our belonging. We only folded out the couch when it was time for bed which was very comfortable as it had a Tempur-Pedic mattress so there were NO springs digging into your back.

The area is very safe and we felt very comfortable coming back to the apartment late at night (and we were out very, very late some nights) you’ll feel very safe in the area. The restaurants in the area of the apartment are some of the BEST we have ever eaten at.

Joseph was very professional in all our dealings and helped us with everything we needed. He was always available when we called and this was a comfort to know we could access someone if we needed them. We would definitely stay here again.

Grazie molto Joseph for an amazing time in Manhattan!! We felt like true New Yorkers in your apartment.

All I can say is “Fabulous, Clean and Quiet Apartment in an Amazing Location!

I highly recommend this apartment.

The apartment was nicer than I expected from photos. Great location, clean, modern interior, very comfortable bed with all the amenities you need. The Subway is 2 short blocks away. We walked nearly every where . I would much rather stay here than in Times Sq. area hotel. You really get the feel of NY and do not feel so much like a tourist. Our family comfortable in the apt which seemed more spacious than a hotel room and was way more relaxing and home like.

NYC one bedroom + facilities

A++ highly recommend, good deal.
We are family of 2 adults 2 kids, there for 2 nights/3 days
Property exactly as advertised. Surprisingly quiet.
Good place to park yourself and sleep after staying out in the city all day/night. We drove in to NYC, and the area allows for easy on-street parking (safe), then taking taxis or subway or walking as needed.
Prompt refund of security deposit.
Only minuses: four flights of stairs (may be hard for some people) and the occasional roach walking in through the pipes from other appartments (the owner is clearly making efforts to control it)

Awesome Apartment!

My wife, our daughter and I stayed at this lovely apartment, and we couldn't have been happier with the location and the amenities. Everything was modern, clean and very comfortable. The photos really do not do it justice.

The Apartment is furnished to a very high standard and has a 42” High Definition TV with cable and High Speed wireless internet access.

The location is convenient to the subway, shopping, fabulous restaurants, Times Square and the Theatre District. We walked just about everywhere and loved every minute of our stay. We would definitely recommend this apartment. It makes so much more sense to stay at an apartment than staying in a hotel. We were able to eat in when we wanted, saving on our vacation budget.

All you could need or want

The apartment was very quite and peaceful. It provided plenty of space for us. Beds were very comfortable and we found the apartment spotlessly clean when we arrived. It even had travel guides of NYC and subway maps. The FREE access to the internet was also greatly appreciated - as we could keep in touch with everyone at home and at work. The apartment is in a fantastic location. Close to the subway, shops, restaurants, West Side Piers Park and other sights - everything you need is so close at hand.

New York is an amazing city to visit - and staying in this apartment (instead of a hotel) just made it so much better.
When we go back, we will definitely rent this apartment again if it is available.

Fabulous Apartment, Beautiful Location “Perfect”

Clean, Quite, Bright Apartment! There was everything you could need for a great vacation. The apartment was beautifully decorated, quite and VERY Clean.
Joe was very Professional and very quick in answering any questions we may had.

The area was perfect with beautiful tree lined streets and old New York charm with
Shopping, Laundry, Fitness facilities, and Great restaurants to eat, “ The Frying Pan” was our favorite it is great for outside eating and beers in the late afternoon. It is located on the beautiful West Side Piers Park at the end of 25th St. “A MUST” and all with in walking distance from the apartment. The subway was just a few blocks away, which provided easy transportation to all you’d want to and need to do in NYC. sight see.

We would highly recommend this apartment for a Wonderful Vacation Experience.

Hi Joe,

We just wanted to say Thank You for such a great stay at your apartment on Hudson Street! The location was excellent - walking distance to Greenwich Village, Chelsea Market, Meatpacking District and more - lots of great restaurants and great shopping and close to the subway lines!
We felt very safe walking around and we were out pretty late a few nights.

The apartment was perfect for us (family of four) - it was very clean and it was great to have a nice kitchen for breakfast and coffee in the morning. We will definitely make this our NYC vacation apartment from now on! There is so much charm in the Village and it was nice to get away from the hustle of some of the other parts of the city. If you want to experience the real NYC - this is the place!

"The apartment was in perfect shape, included all the amenities you could need or want for a lovely stay in nyc. The neighborhood was great; it borders the west village and the meat packing district and is only a couple blocks from the water, so you really can't ask for anything better. Lots of great shopping and fine dining! And it is near the Chelsea Market--my all time favorite place for gifts and baked goods! Thanks Joe! You're the best!

Joe let us first Thank You so much for everything with making our vacation a pleasant and memorable one!

We were a family of 4 staying at the apartment for 2 weeks.
The apartment far exceeded our expatiations. It was very clean and quite and comfortable.
It had all the necessities that make you feel as comfortable as home.

The neighborhood was perfect for our family with beautiful tree lined cobblestone streets,
GREAT restaurants and designer boutiques. The subway was very close to the apartment only
2 blocks so it was very easy going to see all the things we wanted to see in NYC.

Arrangements for our stay was very easy and very professional. Joe was an immense help even arranging a car service for our trip back to the Airport.

I and all my family would HIGHLY recommend this apartment for an all around great experience.

My Family and I are from Australia it was our 4th time in NYC and had spent 10 days in NYC on this trip at Joes apartment and we LOVED our time there.
The apartment is in the Perfect Area, close to the subway, bars/restaurants (awesome ones) boutiques, galleries etc...
Our friends that live in NY couldn't believe how good the position was for the price.
The apartment was clean, quiet, and warm. I will stay there again next time I'm in town - the bed was also very comfortable.

Fabulous Neighborhood!!! Clean and well stocked apartment, very comfortable. In the heart of great restaurants and shopping but quiet. Also very good subway location within a few blocks. Great website with accurate pictures and information with prompt replies to all inquiries. Also very helpful with area. Only negative is it is on the 5th floor and you have to walk the stairs, but that's how most New Yorkers live!

We had a great vacation!

Our review:
Joe (and Rick) were a pleasure to rent from. It was the first time that we had rented from an ad on an apartment rental web site and we were very happy that the deposit could be made through a secure PayPal account. I had looked at another apt and they wanted me to send a money gram, which “I would not do”.

The apartment is was VERY Clean and Comfortable. Extremely comfortable bed and sofa bed. The kitchen is very well equipped, we did not miss anything. Sheets and towels are provided by the owner.

Very nice and safe location in Greenwich Village in the heart of a neighborhood right in the Meatpacking district. The location was perfect for us since it was a few blocks from friends. The apartment itself is only 2 blocks to the subway. Just step out the apartment door and there are designer shops, chic art galleries, full of delicious restaurants, Chelsea market and close to the beautiful Hudson River Park...
It’s only a 8-10 min metro ride to major tourist places such as Museums, Central Park or Financial District / Battery park.

Joe was available by phone and email to answer any questions and was very accommodating.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean apartment in a prime location with honest landlords, then this is it!!

I recommend this place to stay.

Just a quick note to say thank you and how enjoyable our recent stay in your apartment was. The apartment itself was perfect for the four us. It was very nicely decorated and had absolutely everything we needed, that big TV was a major plus for us after long days spent hitting the city. Your apartment was very comfortable especially the mattresses (Very important after a long day being a tourist LOL.)

The location of your apartment is awesome – we always felt safe, so close to NY’s great local designer fashion shops and supermarkets, hip night clubs, Comix – NY’s best comedy club is just around the corner. There are so many cool little boutiques and excellent restaurants all within a short walk. It is close away from the Hudson River and there is a lovely park where we had a picnic lunch in – the views are spectacular!

We were very close to all major subway lines, just a block and a half away, with The Path Station was just around the corner so it was always so easy to go to New Jersey to visit my family.

You yourself were very helpful in showing us everything that the neighborhood had to offer and all necessary services.

I look forward to hopefully renting your apartment again and would happily recommend it to others.

My mother and neice recently stayed at Joe's Hudson street apartment. They found it to be cozy, clean, cool and quiet. Joe was warm, friendly, and professional. They loved the neighborhood, the close proximity to the Hudson river esplanade and subways, and the fact that they were staying in a wonderful apartment for less than the price of a small cramped hotel room. in all the apartment exceeded their expectations. They have already requested dates for their next stay.
