You won't find better accommodations in Jackson Hole. A short walk, even with skis, to the slopes, this home was perfect for my family's ski vacation. The decor and ammenities are five-star. Frank has left out nothing. Thanks for a wonderful Wyoming memory. We can't wait for next year!

Simply Perfect!

Review submitted: February 26, 2013   Date of arrival: February 15, 2013

We arrived at Frank's and Charlotte's home after a long trip... And a smile came across the faces of our family immediately upon entering. A beautiful space, amazing mountain views, very comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. We went to Jackson to go skiing. The house is a very easy stroll (maybe 50 yards) to a tow line that takes you easily to main slope close by (and ski back on way home) -- very easy. Great features in the home made the stay extra special from the well-equipped kitchen, to the hot tub, to the comfortable furniture that all led to comfortable hanging out and fun family time.

Jackson is an amazing place for skiing, a great town with wonderful restaurants and we even took a day for snow mobiling in Yellowstone and went to Old Faithful.

If you debating where to go skiing, we've gone to Telluride for years. Now we're converts to Jackson. Great skiing, great snow and LOW elevation!

This home is a wonderful place to spend time in this beautiful setting.

We look forward to returning someday.

Thanks!

July, 2012 - Great 5 Days!!

Lax family (Baltimore, MD)
Review submitted: November 13, 2012   Date of arrival: July 24, 2012

We had a wonderful stay in your charming log home and we loved our first trip to Jackson Hole. The home was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and quite convenient!! We enjoyed extreme mountain biking in Teton Village, riding the tram to the summit, hiking at Jenny Lake in Grand Teton NP and wandering around Jackson. The pool at the Snake River Lodge was a big hit as well. We now have Jackson Hole on our list of potential retirement locations. Thank you and we hope to return, maybe for a ski vacation, in the future!

Review submitted: September 17, 2012   Date of arrival: September 8, 2012

My wife and I, along with another couple decided to rent this home for almost a week, as we wanted to have one central place to enjoy daytrips while returning to the same location each night. Everyday was a great experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed staying at this luxury home. The property has been tastefully decorated with furnishings and all the amenities one could hope for. This home is perfect for two couples traveling together. Both bedrooms/bathrooms are spacious and provide a quiet retreat after a full day of sightseeing. We would highly recommend this home and hope to someday return.

Wow! What a beautiful home. The house is so comfortable, well stocked, and the decor is fabulous. The location is great. It is only 2 miles from the south entrance of Grand Teton National Park. We loved the Tetons. We saw moose, beavers, a black bear, pika, elk, pronghorn antelope, and bison. We did 3 great hikes; Cascade Canyon, Death Canyon, and the Taggert/Bradley Lake loop. We did a whitewater rafting trip in Jackson with Barker Ewing and had a great time and even saw 2 bald eagles. The owners of the home were great to work with. We would come back in a heartbeat. We loved coming home to the hot tub, and loved waking up to the beautiful view. Everything was wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Beautiful home in the Teton Village. The photos do not do justice to the home or the exceptional interior design. Everything you need and more for an incredible vacation. We loved the proximity to restaurants and to the Tram and Gondola. Grand Tetons were even more impressive than we expected. A great vacation site for families. Loved it!

The perfect ski vacation

familytravel (VA)
Review submitted: February 24, 2012   Date of arrival: February 9, 2012

This was my first experience with a vrbo.com property and I could not have chosen a better location! The owners were honest, flexible and very nice to work with in the planning of our trip. The cabin is located in the perfect spot in Teton Village, within walking distance to the village and the bus stop. We didn't rent a car and it was not necessary at all. We took the bus to the grocery store in the Aspens and it had most of the things we needed and the rest of time, we stayed in the village to ski. The pictures really do depict the view and the cabin very well - the owners did NOT photoshop the pictures!

We especially enjoyed the kitchen which was supplied with great equipment and nice dishes so we could cook all of our meals there while, looking out at our window at the mountains. The beds were comfortable and cozy and each room was nicely decorated that we felt like we were staying in a really high end hotel! I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing trip to Jackson. We hope to come back next year.

Spectacular Family Reunion Venue, Perfect in Every Way

Betsy (philadelphia)
Review submitted: July 31, 2011   Date of arrival: July 20, 2011

The photos show the property off in winter, but it's also spectacular [and cool!] in summer. Loved hopping into the hot-tub, wine in hand, looking at the stars....... Jackson has a fabulous whole food market which we all loved, and were able to cook nicely, since the kitchen is well appointed. We attended a wedding at Shooting Star, with a bridal dinner at couloir. While others paid what we did for 1 or 2 hotel rooms, we got a 2000 sq ft house which made family hanging out time superb. We walked right over to the Grand Teton Music Festival right near the house and heard amazing chamber music. Cannot say enough things about Charlotte and Frank's house, and dealing with them was so straightforward. Their rep at the house was a pleasure to deal with, too.

Second Time Around as Good as First

Ed C. (Dallas)
Review submitted: July 24, 2011   Date of arrival: July 1, 2011

Another great vacation at Teton Village. This was our second summer vacation to the Tetons with the Obsidian property serving as the hub. The cabin and its furnishings continue to amaze a year later. This year we were fortunate to experience the July 4th holiday from this mountain oasis, which meant we enjoyed the Teton Village fireworks from the luxury cabin’s balcony. We also enjoyed the new library of books and videos to help us get a better understanding of all the marvels of this area. Our Yellowstone day-trip this year was to Canyon Falls. We also enjoyed the National Museum of Wildlife Art as well as a hike to Phelps Lake and a tour around Jenny Lake. While last year the wildlife was also on vacation, this year while touring the Teton/Yellowstone area we saw elk, bison, moose, a bear cub (sprinting across the road as we were driving), and prong horn antelope; and from the balcony of Obsidian we saw deer, fox, humming and other birds. There is so much to see and do in this area, with it being impossible to see it all in one- or two-weeks. We hope to return again next year to continue our enjoyment of this Wyoming landscape, with the wonderful hospitality afforded to us by this remarkable home.

Fantastic summer vacation!

Curtis (Houston, Texas)
Review submitted: July 16, 2011   Date of arrival: July 12, 2011

We rented this cabin in mid-July 2011 and we were very impressed. When we drove up to the cabin it looked like just another nice rocky mountain rental cabin but when we walked in the front door and entered the cabin we were very very surprised. EVERYTHING was first class. Top quality furnishings and interior decorating. The owner has done a fantastic job updating the kitchen, bathrooms and the entire cabin. No details were neglected. All of the Teton Village shops, restaurants and ski lifts are within walking distance. We were here in the summer but we can't wait to come back for a winter ski trip. The pictures on the web site are very impressive and professionally done; however, the pictures don't do this cabin justice, it is more impressive in real life.

My family and I have have stayed in ski areas all over the US. Frank and Charlotte have provided a wonderful home that made our trip very enjoyable. The heated mats at the front door and leading to the hot tub are just one example of the little extras that made it perfect. The little downhill walk to the tow rope was no problem. The return uphill walk was short enough that we still would come home for lunch. Thanks for letting us use your home!

Just got back from a wonderful vacation in Jackson Hole. Our stay at you home helped make the trip one of the best ski trips we have been on. The home is even better than stated and more beautiful than the pictures on this site. We surely enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the view is just outstanding! We will be back! Thanks for opening your home.

The perfect Jackson stay

Jenn (Hood River)
Review submitted: March 10, 2011   Date of arrival: February 5, 2011

As another reviewer mentioned, one almost doesn't want to say how wonderful this cabin is because it risks availability in the future! The pictures are great but simply don't do the house nor the view justice - both are breath taking. The owners obviously take a lot of pride in their home - it's beautifully done and taken care of. The kitchen is very well stocked - anyone looking to stay in and cook will be very pleased. The cabin was so roomy and comfortable (4 adults, 1 infant) we spent a lot of time hanging out in front of the fireplace. When we did leave, most of Teton Village was within easy walking distance and the chairlift is few a couple minutes walk out the front door! We love Jackson and can't wait to return!

During our 2nd visit to Jackson Hole, my party of 4 adults stayed in the property. Everything worked perfectly, the property was very clean and quiet. The on site manager, Rachel was excellent and answered her phone immediately the two times we needed to contact her.

An added bonus was a very prompt return of our security deposit that didn't require any follow-up or chasing on our part. For those looking for a no-hassle experience, we strongly recommend this property.

We just returned from an eight day stay at this beautiful 2 story cabin. The location was ideal and the view was phenomenal. You couldn't ask for a nicer home to rejuvenate and relax in. Having everything from great linens, a very comfortable bed, to beautiful Native American and western artwork, along with a great sound system, made our stay all the better. There was never a lack of things to do in the area. Not only is it right next door to the awe-inspiring Grand Teton National Park but our vacation dates conicided with the Jackson Hole's Fall Art Festival. We had an opportunity to do the"Palates & Palettes gallery walk" and the "Ranch Tour" where we visited working ranches and had an insider's view of cattle ranching in Wyoming. The locals we met were laid back and unpretentious, not to mention the great suggestions they gave us on where to dine and where to find great hiking trails. Both the owners and management team are great to work with and we had everything we needed to make this vacation exceptionally memorable.

Architectural Digest Meets Relaxed Mountain Living

Ed C. (Dallas)
Review submitted: September 7, 2010   Date of arrival: August 21, 2010

I have been hesitant about reviewing this home, fearful of placing its status as best-kept secret in vacation homes at risk.

After all, what would happen if Yogi Berra was right? Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded.

You walk into the home, and for a moment think you may have accidently stepped into an Architectural Digest photo shoot.

The homeowners have spared little detail in providing a luxurious experience for their guests. For example, unfurled, each bath towel could cover a football field.

I flew my mom up from South Texas (for those from other locales, this is not an oxymoron ... there is a South Texas) and when asked if she'd like to visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art, she replied, "Why? Everything I'd want to see I can see right here."

So the point is the home comfortable and its decor blends in nicely with the amazing Teton views.

Grand Teton National Park is just a few miles away. Yellowstone is within day trip range, a little over an hours drive away.

Teton Village, with its restaurants and shops, is just a short drive or walk down the hill. You can sit on the porch morning, noon, or night and be in commune with nature. It's a peaceful experience.

Jackson's downtown vibe is about a 20 minute drive. A fabulous Italian restaurant, Calico, is about 10 minutes away and highly recommended. Make reservations.

Skiers should like the home, with its near-slope proximity.

Overall, I'd have to give the whole experience a 6 on a scale of 5.

The homeowners' pride in ownership shows. The location is perfect. The property manager is also very professional and attentive.

Just don't tell anyone about this place. Let's keep it a secret.

Exquisite property, beautifully furnished, wonderful location, best summer vacation ever!

Hal (Chattanooga, TN)
Review submitted: July 12, 2010   Date of arrival: June 26, 2010

As I write this review 10 days after our return, our family is already longing for our return to Jackson Hole and we would DEFINITELY want to use this beautiful cabin again!

First the cabin: it is furnished with furniture, linens, audio visual equipment and decorations typically reserved for very high end resorts. It's more impressive in person than the pictures can show! My wife is very picky about the places we stay and this one highly exceeded her expectations! It's very hard not to relax in this comfortable cabin and perfect location.

Using the cabin as home base, you are literally 5 minutes from the Grand Tetons National Park (you must spend a day hiking around the Jenny Lake area), about 2 hours from Old Faithful and Yellowstone, and a two minute walk to Teton Village. We went to the Jackson Hole Rodeo, went horseback riding in the Bridger Teton Forest , and of course enjoyed the quaint town of Jackson with all it has to offer in great dining and shopping.

What a beautifully scenic area and we were so pleased with this wonderful cabin- can't wait to return!

This home is beautiful, very nicely decorated, and in an great location. The upper level is spacious and sunny with huge windows that have an excellent view. The kitchen is well-equipped. Bedrooms are lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed the view from the deck, especially in the evenings. Everything is just as described and pictured on the website. The owners were easy to work with and their agent met us on our arrival to show us around the house. Would highly recommend this property.
