The Perfect Place for a Palm Springs Vacation

Jess (San Diego, CA)
Review submitted: April 30, 2013   Date of arrival: April 18, 2013

I go to Palm Springs every April with my family and a couple of friends for a birthday get-away. Every time we rent a new house in hopes of finding the perfect location - and I think we have found it! I can not say enough wonderful things about this property. The outside area is to die for. We woke up every morning and went straight for the pool. The sunbathing pool was wonderful for both my 1 1/2 year old son and to lounge in when the sun got hot. We spend the entire day in the pool, listening to the surround sound music and sipping on cocktails make at the outdoor bar area. At night we would have a glass of wine by the fire pit, enjoy dinner under the large tree that is covered in white lights and took a soak in the enormous spa. It was heaven! We never left the house, there was no need to.

Adriana, the owner, was wonderful for our entire stay. There was a small issue with the pool heating and she had someone there right away to fix the problem and was very on top of it. We also called her about a few things in the house that we were not sure how to work and she was more than happy to answer all of our questions.

The house itself was beautiful and very modern. The large window out to the pool was our favorite part. Everything a chef would want can be located in the kitchen and all of the amenities are new and nice. The house was a little smaller than we had thought. The kitchen is a small galley kitchen and no more than 2-3 people can be in there at the same time. However, since we spent all of our time outside it was just fine.

Our entire group loved this house and will defiantly be renting it again in the future!

My forty-something girlfriends and I stayed her for 5 days in April and needless to say we fell in love with this house! The comment that kept being said during our entire stay was "There isn't anything the owners have not thought of!" The house is incredibly comfortable and absolutely spotless! We loved the outdoor speaker system, washer/dryer, and fully stocked kitchen! The never ending sliding glass door was amazing and one of the best features of the house. The house is in a great location and very close to shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was extremely quiet, away from busy roads. The owner was great on communication and we are hoping to be able to go back next year! We have rented many houses in Palm Springs but we all agreed that this is the first house we have stayed at that we would definitely return too!!!

Everything was perfect for our two week stay! The owner didn't miss a thing when furnishing this home! The pool and outdoor space were fantastic. The slider doors that open up really were great. I would reccomend this property to anyone looking for a Plam Springs getaway.

I took my family for a little respite in Palm Springs and this house was just perfect. It was comfortable for 5 of us to laze on couch at night and watch movies. It's a short drive to town for dinner and shopping.
Loved the pool, hot tub and outdoor fire pit. S'mores for all! Would recommend this house for anyone looking for a beautifully relaxing holiday.

Fabulous family vacation at Water's Edge!

Chad and Becky (Livermore, CA/Bay Area)
Review submitted: October 2, 2012   Date of arrival: September 16, 2012

We (myself, my husband, 2 1/2 yr old son and 3 month old son) arrived at Water's Edge on Sunday after being in Palm Springs for a family wedding. My husband and I were so excited when we arrived as the place looks exactly as it does in the beautiful pictures online. You walk into the court area after going through the front gate and see the gorgeous pool, spa and backyard area. It is a spectacular entrance!

We were just as excited when we unlocked the door and walked in the house. The house is just wonderful...it is decorated so beautifully, it is spotless and has the most wonderful sliding glass wall the opens from the family room to the outside pool area. We felt like we were on a tropical island somewhere! All of the bedrooms are a good size and have very beautiful and comfy linens. It feels as if you are staying in a top of the line hotel. The beds are very comfortable.

The kitchen is a galley style kitchen that opens up to the dining area and family room. It has everything you could possibly need to cook meals. The appliances are all on the newer end. There is a door from the kitchen going to the side yard which has a table with chairs...a great place for a morning cup of coffee.

The backyard is just wonderful. The pool is beautiful. We found the wading pool between the spa and the swimming pool to be our favorite spot. It was perfect for our 2 1/2 yr old and a wonderful spot to sit in the chairs under the umbrella and read a book. The house has every pool toy you could possible want which kept our 2 1/2 yr old entertained for hours.

I can't say enough positive things about this house! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again should we be in Palm Springs. I highly recommend this rental.

What a week!!

Review submitted: July 8, 2012   Date of arrival: June 24, 2012

We arrived to find a beautiful and well maintained home nestled in the Mid-Century styled neighborhood. The home was completely stocked with everything we needed to get us through the week and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to relax. The back yard was incredible with the fire pit and lounge area to the back and the refreshing pool to dip in when ever we got hot. The home has many upgraded features that makes the stay just that much better. The most amazing feature was the 4 or 5 panel sliding glass door that completely opens up into a pocket wall exposing the outdoor backyard to the living area....WOW! I can still see myself drinking my cup of coffee in the early mornings sitting on the couch looking out to the beautiful backyard and views of the mountains.

Adriana, thank you for letting us stay in your home. I will definitely recommend this place to my close friends.

Perfect Oasis in the Desert

Review submitted: June 26, 2012   Date of arrival: June 2, 2012

This home is truly the best rental property we have ever stayed at. Not only was the home itself, the location, the decor and the weather amazing, but it was the little attention to details that the owner put forth that made you feel truly welcome and looked after, your entire stay.
Information was provided at every turn, so you were never left wondering how something worked or where something was. Everything you could ever want or need was there to enjoy. The kitchen was stocked, towels, linens, blowdryer, make-up mirror, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. etc. I could go on forever. We love staying at rental homes, but sometimes the work involved in having all the simple things at your fingertips is lacking, NOTHING IS LACKING at this home. It's as if your favorite family member set up their own personal home for you to come visit and supplied it with everything you could need, except the food you were going to eat.
We came to Palm Springs to find a home to purchase and invest in and actual left realizing that it is way better to stay and enjoy a home that someone else has put all the effort and work into, that meets every one of our "picky" details.
We loved our stay Adriana and truly can't wait to come back again!!!!

Amazing Home!

Laura I. ()
Review submitted: April 27, 2012   Date of arrival: April 1, 2012

Our family (4 of us) stayed at this beautiful home the week of April 1st 2012 and we just loved it. The house is beautifully decorated and so clean. Everything you could think of was in the house from extra towels to coffee filters! The AV/music system was great and we had it going all the time. The huge sliding glass wall was the best feature. Since the weather was so great when we were there we could leave that open and not have to use the AC. The pool was amazing and the kids (14 & 11) spent hours in it. There were plenty of pool toys (a baskeball net which was great), rafts, noodles that made it great for the kids. During our stay there were a few wind storms in the evening and the next day the pool crew was there first thing in the morning cleaning all the leaves and sand that blew in. What great service. I can't say enough good things about this house. I highly recommend it.

Met our high expectations

LP (NYC)
Review submitted: April 16, 2012   Date of arrival: January 15, 2012

We had a great 4 night stay at the Water's Edge in January, 2012. The place lived up to its photos and our high expectations. We were 4 people - 1 couple and 2 singles - making use of all 3 bedrooms. The pool, spa and firepit were wonderful. Adriana, the owner, was very easy to contact and highly responsive. When we noticed a minor problem with the freezer, she had someone from Sears show up swiftly to take a look. The master bedroom is not huge and does not have a lot of floor space for suitcases and other items, but it has a great en suite bathroom. Overall, we were surprised/impressed at how much is packed into a house that is not especially large in square footage terms. Would highly recommend this place to friends (and strangers) alike.

Operated at a five star level

Boston (Boston, MA)
Review submitted: March 18, 2012   Date of arrival: March 13, 2012

My wife and I first stayed at this property in March 2010 under a prior owner and loved the ideal layout of the home, indoor and outdoor amenities, quiet and privacy. Returning in 2012, the current owner has elevated the experience further. The home was absolutely immaculate upon arrival -- a white glove test run atop the refrigerator would have passed easily). The home is stocked with ample bath towels, beach towels, linens, and had a well curated set of kitchen equipment (nice dinnerware, wine glasses, knives and tools, coffee maker, toaster, blender, juicer, etc) alongside basics like real paper towels, napkins, aluminum foil, saran wrap, ziploc, etc. The refrigerator provides cubed and crushed ice, very handy.

The A/V system worked indoor and out. We ran Pandora throughout the house on the WiFi all week by just putting the device in the iPhone port and hitting "play". The system came on by itself. Volume can be adjusted outside with controls in the laundry room, which also had detergent, dryer sheets, extra towels, an ice maker, sink, and some pool accessories.

The mid-century architecture and integration of the indoor living space with the outside is what drew us back to this place. A large, four-panel sliding glass wall system opens the living/dining area completely to the outdoor space, with room to place lounge chairs just one step outdoors if you choose. The outdoor lighting, grill, spa, pool, and fire pit all worked as promised. We both loved the style of the home, its furnishings, and care to the plantings and grounds. Pool cleaning happened early Friday morning, and the lawn folks were on Thursday mid/late morning.

We stayed as a couple, but the house has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is largest, with its own bathroom. The two other bedrooms would share a bath and are a bit smaller. Both of those bedrooms have doors to the outside and large closet space.

The only hiccup we had was on recyclables pickup, which we put out curbside for Wednesday but the city didn't collect until Thursday (we had taken it back in by then, thinking we missed it)

The home is about a 8 - 10 minute walk to an intersection with a 7-11 (which stocks the NYT / WSJ, not easy to find elsewhere), a well stocked liquor store, and the Riviera resort. Two major grocery stores and a pharmacy are a 2 minute drive.

Overall, highly recommended.

We can't adequately put into words how much we enjoyed our extended weekend at Water's Edge. Everything about the place was amazing! The description and the pictures don't do it justice. You have to see this place first-hand to really appreciate all the details. The home is warm, the layout is inviting and lounging by the firepit (or in the spa) while gazing at the stars is incredibly relaxing. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations. Thank you Adriana for sharing your beautiful home and for making my partner's 40th one he will never forget!

Where do we start? Fantastic property, this amazing house had everything you could possibly need and as for the backyard, what can we say? The wonderful pool, the views, the cabana, the barbeque, the little pool with the chairs in and as for the privacy, it was exactly what we needed. The backyard made this place, although saying that, the house, the bedrooms (beds were extremely comfortable) and especially the kitchen were extremely well equipped, so much so we didn't go out for dinner once, we had everything we could possibly need here so why did we need to go out?

Our only problem was that we only had 9 nights here and so could have done more. We didn't want to leave.

Thank you Adriana, we so hope to come back.

Waters Edge was the perfect setting for our girls vacation! the attention to detail in this home is amazing. Adriana was a pleasure to work with and made our stay so easy and comfortable we hated to leave this oasis. the photo's cannot convey the true beauty of this home and the views. the beds were better than a 4 star hotel and the property was immaculate. the home was in a great location as well & I will return and would recommend to all who have a desire to relax in a picture perfect environment.

P.S the neighbors were very friendly as well.

Private Oasis

Visitors from LA (Sherman Oaks, CA)
Review submitted: May 7, 2011   Date of arrival: April 24, 2011

We just returned from spending Easter/Spring Break at Waters Edge. The moment we opened the gate, we all knew we wouldn't want to leave the house - and we rarely did!

The patio and pool area is amazing and so well done we may try to copy it! Our favorite feature was the glass wall that opens from the living room onto the beautiful patio for a tropical outdoor/indoor feel.

The pool was always the perfect temperature - morning or night - and the kids were in it every day. Though we did venture into town for a fantastic dinner at The Falls Steakhouse, which is a "don't miss" in our book, we spent most evenings grilling outside while we watched the kids swim and enjoying the outdoor surround-sound stereo system. Why leave?!

The inside of the house was impeccably kept with very comfortable beds, flat screens in every room and every amenity needed for cooking, etc. Definitely no shortage of fluffy towels - I think the closet has 100 of them! The house also wasn't so large and spread out that we didn't get to spend quality family time together. We've rented vacation homes before and typically like trying new areas, but this is one we definitely plan to return to.

Thank you, Adriana, for sharing your home and for allowing us to enjoy a fabulous vacation. We look forward to returning!

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay !

Five snowbirds from Germany+ Oregon stayed for two weeks for Christmas & New Year in this wonderful home in a quite and safe neigborhood.

Everything was perfect as described and shown on the pictures. Very tasteful interior, very clean, well equipped with full kitchen and entertainment equipment - we felt at home immediately.

The garden + outdoor setup is great as well ( gorgeous palm trees , pool & hottub) and absolutely private.

The owner was very supportive with every need we had, so we are happy to confirm the former reviews by 100% and only can recommend this place, hoping that here still will be slots left in the calendar for us in the future ...

Review submitted: May 10, 2010   Date of arrival: May 3, 2010

My partner and I just returned from a perfect 6 night stay. The homeowner greeted us upon arrival, along with the sounds of falling water and soft music playing from the indoor/outdoor music system. He gave us a brief tour to answer any questions we had about the home and surrounding area before departing.

We were instantly at home. The house is furnished well in a taste similar to our own, and fitting of the architectural style of the area. The 16ft stacking glass panels that slide into the wall open the whole house up to the pool area, creating one large room perfect for easy indoor/outdoor flow and conversation. the owner undrstands the importance of lighting, always important to me, with dimmers on everthing and key accent lights inside and out, including the lighted plant pots along the back wall. The firepit makes an excellent place to enjoy some good wine and cheese before lounging in the oversized spa.

The yard is a haven of privacy and the feeling of being in your own luxury resort (you have to make your own cocktails in the afternoon) We hardly left the property during our stay except an initial grocery shop and a dinner out with some local friends.

We plan to stay here again next fall.
