This house was perfect for our weekend visit! The house an property is clean and well maintained. Plenty of room to sleep 3 teenagers and 2 parents. Close enough to drive and back forth to Bard College (to pick up our son) and great area for exploring and spending family time. We hope to rent the house again on future visits. :)

My husband and I, along with toddler and grandparents, had a wonderful weekend in this lovely wooded retreat. The house was perfect for us, with three bedrooms, a big kitchen for cooking and large open living room for my son to practice walking. The house is simply and stylishly decorated, with a comprehensive and helpful selection of books about the Hudson and DVDs for those relaxing evenings. The location couldn't have been more convenient, located between Rhinebeck and Millbrook, making it easy for us to pop into town. We will definitely be back!

This house is just great! It is clean. It is very convenient: in the woods but close to town. The layout worked great for us (family with 2 small children): only 1 level with bedrooms and bathrooms on one side and living room and kitchen on the other. The fireplace is just amazing! It is a very big plus! After a day out, we were so happy to come back home and stay in front of the fire and cook potatoes or chestnuts! We cook a lot and found the kitchen to be extremely well-stocked.
You can see that the owners take really good care of the property! Regarding the owners, Paul is very nice, responsive and gives great advice on what to do in the area. Plus there are tons of travel guides on the Hudson Valley in the house. We went to Rhinebeck (of course), Poet's Walk (incredible views), Millbrook Vineyards (excellent wines), Wings Castle (so eccentric) and Trevor Zoo (remarkable zoo).
I already recommended the property to several of my colleagues after they saw how enchanted I was by my stay in this house!! We will definitely rent Paul & Diana's house again!

I'm from the Hudson Valley and LOVE to go home to visit. I usually stay with family but this time decided to rent a place for me, my daughter, her husband and their baby. And I'm so very glad we did! The owners were so helpful and kind and the home is just beautiful. Lots of deer and wild turkeys to see and it's beautifully wooded and nicely decorated. There's plenty to do in Rhinebeck and the surrounding areas, but I was perfectly content to hang out at the house! We were so comfortable there and can't wait to do it again! Thank you Paul and Diana!

Splendid week in Rhinebeck

Our party of two adults and one small child has spend one week in Rhinebeck and we couldn't have hoped for more then what we got when we arrived to Paul's house. The location was beautiful, amidst the lush woods. On our arrival we have been greeted by a not too shy deer and every morning we could watch wild turkeys parading outside on the lawn.
The house was spacious, comfortable, all amenities in great condition. My personal favorite spot must have been the kitchen where I could prepare easily all our meals. Our little son could enjoyed the trampoline in the back garden. It was such a great experience, everything run smoothly and the owner provided excellent support and guidelines so that we found ourselves easily at home there. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who appreciates nature, spaciousness, practicality and Scandinavian design.

This is the perfect place to stay for people of any age. Three generations of our family spent an unforgettable New Year weekend in this beautiful house and enjoyed every moment.
The very first impression of this house gave an excellent understanding of the great hospitality of the hosts: after a snowstorm all the roads were cleared, the house light was on, and a bottle of wine was waiting for us on the table.
The house is bright, modern, and really comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and a cozy fireplace.
We are planning to visit it again in summer.

We needed a weekend away from the bustle of New York and couldn't have been happier. The house is tastefully decorated and also very clean, something I really care about. The yard was bigger than it looked in the pictures, with a wooded area and a cleared part that was sunny, and the bocce court was a sweet bonus (for a gal with Italian grandparents who used to play it). The neighborhood is quiet but it is very close to Rhinebeck. We also like to cook, and the kitchen was well stocked and efficient. The owners were pleasant and available at a late hour when we had a mishap with the keys.

Stayed at this lovely home. A garden sanctuary nestled in the woods just minutes from the village of Rhinebeck! Clean, spacious and the owners were extremely helpful. Lots of shopping and terrific dining locally and in surrounding towns. Local ice-cream "joint", Holy Cow, in Red Hook was great fun. And of course, went to the independent movie theater, Upstate, on the main drag. Explored historic sites along the Hudson. Trips to Opus 40, West Point, Culinary in Hyde Park, Woodstock and much more.
LOCATION of this home and the home itself made our vacation one to remember.
