Loved it!

My husband and I with our 2 young boys stayed here for 4 days and had a great time! We rented one of the smaller apartments upstairs and it was just enough space for our needs. It was over 100 degrees during our stay and the little window ac unit kept the place nice and cool. While this is an older home, it had a ton of character and very clean. I loved the white decor with a mix of both antiques and nice furnishings throughout the place. Arlene, the owner was very accommodating and met us when we arrived to show us around. We even got to see the lower floor, very cool!
I would highly recommend a stay at Annabelle's if you are in the area. Why would you pay more for a plain old hotel room when you get the personal service from Arlene, and great character of this amazing home?
Thank you!!
Oh! And don't forget to stop by her cute little cafe with GREAT and FRESH food, "16th Street Cafe"! Check out my yelp review...

Nice Place to Stay!

My family of four stayed on the lower level of Annabells for one night and I couldn't be happier! The house is nestled on the old main street in Canon City and is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. There is plenty of parking around back (4 spaces I think) and the house is well equipped with whatever you may need (washer/dryer, dishes etc). The owner was kind enough to allow my family of four (two teenagers) to stay only one night, but I really wished we had the time to stay more. There were other (much more expensive) places that required a 3 night stay. The lower level is a complete two bedroom apartment with kitchen, bath, dining room and living room. It is decorated in a simple soft white with natural accents (think shabby chic but pared down by two thirds). The beds were ready for dreaming with their wonderful puffy comforters and plenty of pillows! When you consider the cost of a hotel room with its cookie cutter décor, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t choose this location for a couple of dollars more. We were able to play games in the dining room and the space was just perfect. If you are looking for a sterile, modern location, this is not for you. But if you want a clean location with character and warmth, look no further.

To top it all off, the owner also owns the 16th Street Café that is a great place to eat breakfast and lunch. It could be walked to (about 10 min) but we drove because we were on our way elsewhere. The food was delicious and generous and the staff was friendly. We loved breakfast so much that we returned for lunch. There were a lot of choices so we were all satisfied. The highlight of the café had to be the bread pudding though. It was a cinnamon dream!

At both locations, the owner of the property was friendly and fair. I could not be happier with my 24 hour family vacation.

Spacious, homey value in Canon City!

My mom and I stayed at Annabelle's for 3 days recently. We rented the upstairs unit with a full kitchen, living room and one bedroom with a king bed. It was just perfect for our needs! My mom was thrilled to see the large claw foot tub. Having a full kitchen was great for us since we were entertaining my 1 year old grandson. Since it was essentially a one-bedroom apartment, it is an amazing value! I have stayed in Canon City many times in many places. But from now on I will only stay at Annabelle's!

Comfortable and clean home

We have two adults and four children in our family and stayed in both halves of the upstairs of this rental (which is set up as two one-bedroom apartments that can join) for three nights. We were pleased with our stay and we recommend it and would stay there again. This residence is an older home and does have both positive and negative points.
On the good side, the beds were comfortable and clean, the kitchens (there are two in the upstairs) were adequately equipped (we cooked three breakfasts and one evening meal there), and the owner was very responsive to our needs. When one of the TV’s failed she responded by bringing her personal TV over within 20 minutes. We cannot say enough good things about the owner. The rental is on Main Street and is within easy walking distance of a number of businesses and restaurants. The window air units provided adequate cooling on what were very hot days for Canon City.
The negative points relate to the fact that it is an older home. The bathrooms and kitchens are small; the electrical wiring needs updating, and a few of the floor boards creak and the floor slopes in places. These were not big issues for us but they may be important to renters looking for a more luxurious rental property when on vacation.

Loved Annabelles!

I loved Annabelles and plan to stay there whenever I come back to Colorado! The house was warm and inviting and so very comfortable. I loved the furniture and decor. The owner was wonderful and took care of me at every step. I was there as a single woman and felt perfectly safe for my entire months stay. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to be in the heart of all the activities this area has to offer.
