Our family of four stayed a week at this beautiful home on the most awesome protected bay on the island. The bay is very quiet and another great snorkeling area is just up the road at Honaunau Bay. There are so many things to do at a short drive away (30min or so). We picked up some fresh fish at a market nearby and barbequed it one evening next to the pool. There are fresh mangos for mango salsa we added on top of the fish. There is also a nice bed on the covered lanai. The house was very clean and had all the supplies making it feel like home. There was only one kayak (3 man) so we were a little disappointed because that was one of the reasons we picked this house over another (hope they change the listing to reflect this). We saw dolphins pass by every morning and there was a turtle out on one occasion. The second night we saw two sharks circling out front - what a great site that was! We were able to make them out with the binoculars nearby (never saw them again). The snorkeling is great in the morning when the winds are calm. The pool was very clean. We loved this house and the area ~ Thank you.

Hi Louise, We had a great time at the house!!! Even took the kayaks out to the Captain Cook memorial to go snorkeling. Wandered around the village south of the house and generally had a great time. Aloha, Steve

We loved this house and the location. It is an older home with an open, airy feel and a million dollar view. The sound of the ocean is background music here. You wake to the sounds of birds and the ocean. There is a 4 mile scenic, winding road to get down to the house. At the top of this road, there are conveniently located stores and restaurants. The home is situated at the end of a neighborhood with one side bordering lava boulders where you can enter the ocean to swim or snorkel. Because of the vegetation surrounding the house, it feels secluded. On the weekend the lava area was filled with locals fishing and swimming. There was no noise, so we weren't disturbed. It isn't air conditioned, but has plenty of fans. We spent most of our time outside so lack of a/c was not an issue. The mornings and nights were cool. The outside area of the house is actually like another room with the ocean as the backdrop. You can swim, cook, eat, relax and even sleep outside. We found the house to be very comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed including snorkel gear, bikes and kayaks. It is also clean and well maintained. The house manager was very helpful with local information. At the end of a day of touring the island, we always looked forward to returning to Ocean Song. This house definitely added to the enjoyment of our time in Hawaii.

Louise, We had a wonderful time at Ocean Song! Unfortunately, my son and his family couldn't come at the last minute so it was only myself, my husband, our daughter and I recruited one of my friends at the last minute. We loved the geckos they were beautiful. Cindy M.

Hi Louise, I was trying to leave some feedback on your vrbo website but could not figure out how. Just wanted to let you know how much we loved Ocean Song. The house was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We stayed in two other houses while in Hawaii and Ocean Song was THE best. We hope to come back some time next year. Mahalo, Betty N.

Hi Louise We are back from our long holiday in the US, and had a great time. You can pass on that we enjoyed ocean song the most, it was a peaceful location that we found very hard to leave. We are already looking to return there in July next year! (when do I need to book by??) If we can write something for you to post online, or if someone from Australia wants to rent the house and wants a reference, we would be more than happy. Thanks Adam
