Stunning Property/Accommodating Owner

Review submitted: March 17, 2013   Date of arrival: March 15, 2013

Just completed a beautiful weekend retreat at the Eagle's Nest property, the largest of a few managed by Blue Sky Ranch. The Eagle's Nest property more than exceeded our expectations! The place was in impeccable condition and is a very warm and cozy place set amongst the backdrop of the tranquil Skykomish River and the jagged peaks of the Northcentral Cascades. We had about 8 people in our party and the amount of space was just perfect! There were more than enough sleeping arrangements suitable for our group. The bedrooms are beautiful with views of the river and mountains from each room. The master bedroom is very spacious with a huge bathroom and sauna. There is also a full laundry room and plenty of towels and sheets. The kitchen is VERY well equipped with virtually any kitchen utensil you would need to prepare meals. The actual building is very beautifully decorated and is the result of the proprietor's long-hard work for many years. The large amount of quality wood work, iron work, and stone work, not to mention a mounted Elk head, really sets the scene as the perfect mountain retreat, easily accessible from the greater Seattle area. The fireplace and mantle area is the highlight of the living room, with detailed stonework and a remote controlled fire which keeps you nice and warm when the snow is falling outside.
The outside/deck area is also picture perfect and includes a very nice full perimeter deck, which includes a hot tub, a propane fire pit with surrounding loungers, a beautiful long cooking island and propane grill. There are also plenty of picnic tables that allow for riverside dining with the beautiful backdrop.
The hot tub on a cold night was simply amazing. It is a well-groomed probably 6 person hot tub (although can squeeze more in, for sure) with two jet settings, color-changing lights. The proprietor even had the temp set on 102 F upon our arrival! We were lucky to catch a very nice snow shower on our last night and used the wood fire pit (set on the land's edge above the river) to warm up and make smores.
In summary, this property is very well-maintained and groomed and the proprietor's attention to detail and accommodating nature makes this property a must rent. The Eagle's Nest is perfect for large or small groups and is the ideal getaway from the Seattle area. I HIGHLY recommend this property and will definitely return very soon!!! Thank you, Christ, for an unbelievable trip!!!

Relaxing and rejuvenating!

Review submitted: July 16, 2012   Date of arrival: July 13, 2012

We recently stayed in the Eagles Nest at Blue Sky Ranch, we found it to be very well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We had our small dog with us as well and he was very comfortable. The river is just steps away and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The owner Chris was so kind and attentive. We got the needed get away from the rat race and would recommend this to anyone wanting the same. We will return to this little piece of heaven. Thank you Chris for creating this place for your guests!

A must return

This was a wonderful get-away from our hectic life in Seattle. The amenities, scenery, solitude were so appreciated, we felt so pampered. We are already planning our next visit to this little bit of heaven. Can't imagine how beautiful it would be in the Fall or Winter.

Majestic Getaway

Review submitted: June 8, 2011   Date of arrival: May 10, 2011

I stayed in the Eagle's Nest for two nights. The accommodations were superb with luxury products throughout the house. The linens were top quality and the bed so comfortable. Everything in the house was well maintained and seemed to go the extra mile to please. The Skykomish River and Cascade mountains were just outside my door so I could sit on my deck and breath in the wonder of nature. I will return again and highly recommend Blue Sky Ranch for anyone who wants to be well taken care of. It's a romantic getaway yet also great for family fun.
