Ninja vacation

stas (Sterling, VA)
Review submitted: January 9, 2013   Date of arrival: December 22, 2012

4 adults, 3 kids and a cocker spaniel -- we all had a great Ninja vacation during the Christmas week.
The property was neatly cleaned upon our arrival.
We were able to fully utilize kitchen, which provided us with everything necessary for cooking and eating.
The location is perfect -- less than 5 min drive to the ice rink (and the downtown) and snow tubing.
Although we had a huge snowstorm for two days with ~10 to 12 inches of snow (we liked that because how else you would experience a real winter??), the main roads and the driveway to the house were regularly cleaned and we had no problem driving out.
Thanks to Sam to make our vacation even more enjoyable -- he was available to promptly address our requests during the stay.
Overall, great experience!

Ninja log home

This property was absolutely perfect for our 2 families. The kids had the second floor complete with a TV/Video station while downstairs was very well equipped and accomodated everybody in one sitting. We had coffee on the deck in the mornings, picked up the Lake Placid free trolley service into town and were close to all of the Olympic facillities. Evenings were cool so a fireplace would have been nice, but all in all, Perfect.

This property was magnificent. Long weekend, close to golf, walkable to town, and nicely set back from the road so very quiet. We had morning coffee on the huge deck and the kids had an upstairs TV/Video loft all to themselves. Evenings were getting cooler and a fireplace would have been nice, but otherwise, a fabulous place for a couple of families and kids.

Great Rental Home

Review submitted: August 28, 2012   Date of arrival: August 12, 2012

This was our 8th year vacationing in Lake Placid and our first time renting this house. We have stayed in many different rental homes over the years and this one definitely takes the cake.

The house itself has a very warm and cosy feel to it. The wrap around porch is amazing. It's partially covered so even if its raining you can still sit outside.

Sam the owner is a very nice guy. He made the made the whole rental process very easy.

Looking forward to renting this place next year.

P.S. - If renting in the summer, make sure to check out "The Flume". Best waterhole ever.

Even better than expected

I have not rented a cottage online before and was apprehensive about booking through the internet. The owner of Ninja was supportive beyond my expectations and this helped very much with the experience since I was booking for such a large group. Our group of 10 attended the Lake Placid Marathon (2012) and had an excellent experience. We could cheer the first pass and then take a walk to the finish line! We were close enough to take a short and enjoyable walk to downtown. The cottage is brand new, immaculate, and even included towels for all of us. Our experience was excellent, and also a great value for such a beautiful place. I offer my highest endorsement.

Amazing April vacation

This was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Being able to go mountain climbing, sight seeing, eating amazing food at the restaurants nearby and being able to see the Olympic stadium was wonderful, but being able to share this with my entire family was even better.

The newly built Ninja cottage was not only very stylish but also very roomy and comfortable. The distance from the road to the cottage made our environment very peaceful and the sound from the creek nearby was very relaxing to hear on a Sunday morning while having tea on the porch.

I highly recommend this cottage for anyone who is looking for a family getaway.

Beatiful Home

Review submitted: March 27, 2012   Date of arrival: March 23, 2012

This house was just as beautiful in real life! It accomodated every need that all 13 of us girls had. The house was very clean and neat! It had towels for all 13 of us and extra linens if we needed them. The deck was beautiful and the weather was nice enough for us to be able to use it. We all loved how the kitchen opened up to the family room. The house was very close to the main road. There is trolly(Free) that runs every half hour till 9pm that will bring you into where all the shops are in town. We were able to catch the trolly at a hotel across the street that was less than a 5 minute walk from the house! If you don't want to ride the trolly it was about a 20 minute walk from the house into where the shops were.

Wonderful Vacation

Review submitted: July 24, 2011   Date of arrival: July 2, 2011

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful vacation we had at the 'Ninja'. We can't wait to return and see all the 'ideas' come to life in the cabins. We took a family poll and everyone thinks a fireplace in the corner where the tv is would look the best for what its worth. thanks again...
