We rented this beautiful beach house for the month of October 2012 and just can't say enough about our wonderful stay. This is a lovely community with very friendly and helpful neighbors. This high-end home is lovely and well stocked for all your needs for a brief or extended stay. There is great access to the beach, the pool and to Johnson Beach National Seashore where we walked or biked everyday. I would highly recommend this home and look forward to returning next year.

The house is very spacious, and was very comfortable for our large and extended family. The main living area (a combination two-story great room, kitchen and dining area) is surrounded by large windows and is very bright. The great room includes a Samsung home theater system. The floors throughout the house are a light-colored slate tile.

The kitchen boasts all-granite surfaces and two islands, including one which serves as a bar. The built-in kitchen appliances are state-of-the-art, and the kitchen is well stocked with up-scale cookware, dining ware and utensils; and there is a large pantry.

The house contains a full-scale washer and dryer, with an extra refrigerator in the laundry room. There is WiFi throughout.

Each of the spacious bedrooms has its own bath, with one of the baths being also accessible from the great room.

The house is nicely furnished throughout, has been well-maintained and had been spotlessly cleaned prior to our arrival.

Although the house is great, the feature that is most appealing is its location: its proximity to both the beach and the the National Park - and its distance from the high-rise condos and their crowds. While the house does not front on the Gulf, the Gulf is always in view from the windows across the back of the house, as well as from the porches on the second and third levels of the home. The boardwalk to the beach is immediately behind the house, and the beach is an easy 90-second walk from the back porch. And unlike the condo crowds just down the beach that have to fight for beach chairs on the front row, you've got the beach here almost to yourself: even on the Fourth of July, there were perhaps 10 other people within 100 feet on either side of our little family encampment.

The house is near the entrance to the development; and a right turn out of the neighborhood is perhaps a quarter-mile from the entrance to Johnson Beach and its two-mile dead-end highway that runs on the thin spit of land that separates the Gulf and the Bay: due to its restricted access and the virtual absence of vehicular traffic, it's a perfect venue for runners and cyclists.

We've been vacationing in the Perdido Key area for almost thirty years, and have stayed, at one time or another, in most of the older condominium complexes along the beach. While many of them hold fond memories of family vacations, we feel that, in this home, we have now found the best that the Key has to offer, in terms of comfort, privacy and location.

Wonderful Vacation Spot

This is a beautiful beach home. It worked well for our family of 3 generations, ages 2-66. The home is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. The laundry room is a real plus and offers an additional refrigerator. The lower covered deck, which is just off of the kitchen area, has an outdoor table and chairs for outdoor dining. The basement provides parking for unloading on rainy days and is a great place to store beach gear. The gated neighborhood is quiet, & the circular street offers a nice place to walk or ride bikes. The beach is private and easily accessed. The neighborhood pool and cabana area are well maintained and only a short walk from the house. The Publix grocery is close by, and WalMart and Target are just a few miles away. We all enjoyed the family-style atmosphere at the nearby Shrimp Basket restaurant, which offers reasonably priced, good food and daily specials. We would definitely recommend this beach home to family and friends.

Buck,

We had a great time. The house was great and the neighborhood was great. It was an easy walk to the beach and to the pool. My kids and grandkids also enjoyed staying at your home. We would definitely think of renting your house again. Thanks

Beautiful Beach Home

Review submitted: March 7, 2010   Date of arrival: June 27, 2009

If you are looking for a quiet beach vacation, you've found the place with this beautiful home at Perdido Key. Wake up to a beautiful view of sea and sand from your master bedroom. Drink coffee or your favorite beverage from one of two balconies offering a gorgeous view of the beach. Great restaurants are in the area but we enjoyed the well equipped kitchen for many of our family meals. We experienced a couple of days of red flagged swimming but enjoyed a beautiful pool in this small beach neighborhood. We highly recommend this home for your next beach vacation. Both the owner and the rental agency were a pleasure to work with as we coordinated our stay.
