Perfect place to rent

Absolutely beautiful inside and out!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously; roasting marshmallows in the fire, swimming and kayaking on crystal clear Half Moon pond (which I would call a lake, not a pond but I'm not from New England), and sitting on the dock listening to the loons.

The house is also stocked with anything and everything you may need, but besides that it is centrally located to touristy areas such as Acadia and Camden. There is a grocery store not too far away but larger stores and mall in Bangor about 30-40 minutes. That may seem like a long time, but it goes by quickly with all the pretty Maine countryside your driving through.

I would recommend this rental without hesitation to anyone looking to go to Maine. It's perfect for a family or a couple. Stacy and Mike have one special place-- thank you for sharing it with others! We will be back :)

Great week in the Maine woods

The house was as pretty as the picture on the internet. Very clean and well maintained. Kitchen was very well equipped from dishes to pots and pans and any utensil you may desire. The house was very comfortable even in March. Our dogs loved roaming the woods in the snow and running on the ice on the pond.

The owners were very gracious and friendly (we look forward to seeing them again). It was a wonderful place to just relax but there are many things to do and see also. Very good restaurants in the area.

Peaceful Getaway

Dear Thibodeaus,

The camp is a perfect place to get away for the week and yet, feel right at home. The accommodations are warm and comfortable and just what you would expect for a great lakeside vacation. Half Moon Pond is serene and peaceful.

We really enjoyed gazing at the amazing stars on the deck each night and listening to the loons. The paddle boats and kayaks were an added bonus, especially for the boys. Also, being close to Acadia Park, we spent three days there exploring the trails with the last day of an exhilarating bike ride of 25 miles and a few more hills than we expected. The spectacular views more than made up for them…

The Thibodeaus were more than accommodating, being available with just a phone call/email away. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place.

Cozy & Comfortable Cabin

If you're looking for a cozy lakeside cabin with plenty of modern amenities, than look no further than this quiet Searsport, Maine rental. Located on a five-acre lot on the shores of Half Moon Pond, this beautiful home boasts a gourmet kitchen, two fireplaces (inside and outside), and a wonderful living/dining space with a large flat-screen TV, plenty of movies and a Wii game system. Our family had a great time and were thrilled to be able to bring our dog too.

If you're looking for a great vacation rental where you have plenty of privacy but can still visit all the great spots in coastal Maine, this home will surely fit the bill. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming! We'll be sure to recommend this get-away to our family and friends.
