My husband is a travel physical therapist and was placed in Port Charlotte for 4.5 months. Finding housing isn't always easy at the last-minute with two small dogs. I called several property owners in Port Charlotte and narrowed my choices down to two properties. We decided to go with Gail's property because it was large, clean, and very well-furnished. We also liked that the landlords were close enough to contact in case something goes wrong. We don't regret a thing!
Staying at the property felt like home. Everything was well-kept, including the yard, which our dogs certainly loved. The neighborhood was quiet. Every time we mentioned something amiss to Gail, no matter how small, it was taken care of within 24 hrs. Once, the A/C unit stopped blowing out cold air. We told them about it that morning and they came over in 30 minutes! AMAZING service.
We cook at home a lot and we wanted for nothing in the kitchen. Plenty of food storage as well. The carport made car washing easy and we enjoyed grilling outside with the gas grill provided. Bedrooms had decent storage for our clothes. TV/internet were provided.
I'll list 3 things that aren't so great to make this review fair. However, I suggest that if you want something, ask the landlords. They'll probably provide it within reason:
1. Bring hangers if you have a lot of suits/jackets/dresses. They have a few but not too many. Also, bring your own blow dryer.
2. If you like to walk to the beach/shopping malls, this is not the location for you. We found driving necessary.
3. The bathroom is small so ladies with a lot of bathroom accessories/utilities, you'll have to get creative with storage.
We move around a lot and deal with several landlords in the process. I can honestly say that Gail and Bruce are probably THE BEST landlords I've ever encountered and the rental was perfect for us. When we needed to extend our lease, it was painless. We also received our full security deposit back.
I recommend this rental property without reservation.

Owners response: :) More hangers it is !!! And for future guests, I have bought a Blow Dryer that is secured to the wall in the bathroom for your use. I actually bought myself one also because I had one years ago, and always wanted another. Great Ideas. Thanks.

A Perfect Fit!

We arrived and were welcomed by Gail and Bruce to their beautiful rental home.
Everything was there that we needed. The house was excellently equipped and nothing was left out. There was even a brand new juicer for that Florida orange juice.
The beds were all comfortable and the house was decorated beautifully. Kitchen was amazing with everything from coffee maker, crock pot, blender and plenty of pots and pans. We did a lot of cooking at the house and found everything we needed. 3 TVs made it easy to watch our own TV shows and the wifi was wonderful.
The fans in all the rooms was a really nice feature as well.
There were no tiny pests in the house. This was important to us as our previous home rental in Port Charlotte had an aunt and uncle conference at the house we rented.
Our small dog was very comfortable and it was great to have the fenced in yard for her. We took advantage of the H2U pool classes and gym. It was just like being home in a MUCH warmer location.
Thank you Gail and Bruce for a lovely stay.

Great vacaton.
We had a great time going to beaches and shopping and flea markets.We spent most of our time at beaches it was nice to relax on them every day they were close by and clean and full of shells to collect.
The two flea markets were big and lots of fun.Everything you need is close by.
Gail was great to work with and the house was very nice even better than I exspected,Gail had everything you need right down to scotch tape that we needed to tape an envelope closed.
This was our first 30 day vacation but it won't be our last thanks Gail for a great time

We had a wonderful stay. The clean and comfortable accomodations were just as pictured. The kitchen is very well equiped and has more than any other rental we have stayed. The neighborhood is well cared for and is quiet. There are no noisy cars or loud music blasting. It is nice to have a full size washer/dryer available. The owners have taken great care in providing a restful get-a-way. We will stay here again and have already told friends about our visit. It is close to several shopping centers and many restaurants from which to choose. It is a great value.
