Everything you could want

My wife, daughter and I stayed for a summer week in the loft. We could not have found a better place.

The location is perfect. Not only is the local neighbourhood vibrant with lots of great places to eat within 2 blocks, but the subway stop is a block away. We took it out to Citipark to see a METS game, and then the other way to get into Times Square and everything in Manhattan. Extremely easy.

We also found the East River Ferry just 2 blocks from our door. We took it over to Manhattan (34th street with a free shuttle bus to Rockefeller Center) as well as to a stop on Wall Street to see the Village and financial district.

The loft was very comfortable. We visited during a heat wave and the A/C was perfect. All the facilities were as advertised - plenty of space to relax, eat, watch TV, do laundry, plan the day.

And a huge bonus is Gantry State Park, a block away on the EAst River. Perfect view of the UN and Empire State Building from a beautiful park with a boardwalk, gardens, grassy areas, lots of seating and restored railway gantries - part of the history of NYC.

We would recommend this apartment to singles, couples or families who want a real NYC neighbourhood experience and / or a great place to see and do all that New York has to offer.

Myself and my brother stayed at this apartment to visit New York. The location was great, very close to the subway and great views from the nearby park across to Manhatten.
The area is up and coming and felt very safe.
I would definitely recommend this apartment for its uniqueness and space.

Couldn't agree more with the other reviewers. We have rented apts. all over NYC, and this was by far the best experience. The location was perfect. Easy access to Manhattan. Nice quiet respite from all the NYC chaos. Loved the art, the cool decor, the huge space, and the neighborhood. Rental agent was so easy to work with, accommodating our changing schedule, and the owner, gracious and helpful.

We would definitely rent this spot again on a return trip to NYC.

INCREDIBLE PLACE TO STAY

My husband, my two teenage children and I just spent a week at this incredible property! It was perfect and we feel fortunate that we choose this space for our vacation.. Located in Long Island City, this apartment is two blocks from the subway and one stop from Grand Central Station. We were all over the Manhattan from this very convenient location --- Central Park, MOMA, the Met, and the many plays that we were able to catch. The apartment is extremely spacious. The two bedrooms rooms are located at opposite sides of the space (giving both parents and teens) their own space. The apartment was very well appointed with everything we needed----cooking meals was a breeze when we weren't lured by the marvelous restaurants that we found around the apartment and in Manhattan. A grocery store was just down the street. The apartment had lots of space, terrific wi-fi, a large screen TV and a spacious bathroom. Everyone was comfortable (actually thrilled) in this incredible space. The owner was hospitable and gracious. I hope I captured our enthusiasm for this space ---this space helped make our vacation in NYC exceptional!

Very comfortable and convenient apartment one-subway stop from Grand Central Station. It had everything you needed, including a huge TV, and there were very good bars, shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend it.

We (a family of 4 with two grown up daughters) chose this apartment for our family holiday to NYC. It was just perfect. Lots of space, very cool interior and just as described. Very easy and quick access to Manhattan. It often felt good to return to a quiet place after a day of sightseeing and shopping in busy Manhattan.

The neighborhood felt safe and is very close to the piers on the East River with great views of Manhattan.

We would definitely stay again

Loved Our Stay!

The apartment is private and huge - we are 2 teenagers and 2 adults - all were equally happy here. Nice neighborhood, got our coffee and went down to the piers on the river in the mornings to watch the boats and seaplanes go by. Gorgeous views of Manhattan skyline from the waterfront park, especially at night.

We found the accommodations just as described, really is a lot of space, wife loved the tremendous walk in closet, very easy and quick to get to Manhattan. Kids went on their own no problem. Nice restaurants nearby, all in all an easy and breezy stay.

Would definately stay here again.
