Great location. House needs maintenance. The maintenance issues (bad water, broken screen doors, old windows, etc.) are all long term neglected items that you should expect if you rent the house. The location is wonderful, the deck all around the house is great. Our family had a great time because we decided not to let the house issues bother us. We bought bottled water for all cooking and drinking.

Location, location, location.

Best part of this property is without a doubt, the location. My friends and I rented this house for a 60th birthday celebration. The house needed to be dusted all over and swept. The ceiling fan in the living room was filthy as was the sky light. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV with the 4 remotes and after deciding to unplug the direct TV box, we found major dust around the wires, but we did get the TV turned on! None of the bed linens smelled clean. The dishwasher was so dirty, I can't imagine the dishes were getting clean. We used the dryer but had trouble because the start handle kept coming off. At no point did the floor in the house feel clean. The screen door on the front and back door were difficult to get open because they kept sticking. The tubs in both of the upstairs were not very clean when we arrived. Also, since we had 6 people staying in the house, it would have been nice to have more than one key. I don't normally rent homes with this many bedrooms, but at 463.00 a day, i really would have expected a nicer kept house. I realize living on the beach, homes take a beating from the ocean, but really 463.00 per day?

The only complaint we had is the water smelled like sulfur and tasted awful. Other than that we WILL be planning another vacation at one of your vacation properties!!!!! <br/>We had 11 in our party and we never seemed was very spacious!! We had the BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!! A very pleasant week

It was very nice. The house was clean and in fairly good repair. We did call the property manager to deal with a few items that came up during our stay...mainly items that were worn out or broken when we checked in. They were fairly minor and didn't impact our overall enjoyment. The location was spectacular and the beach was fantastic. We will be back next year.

A lack of customer service

Even though a guest earlier this month had complained about the conditiion of this property to management, we found some of the same problems upon our arrival. The worst problem was mold all along the downstairs baseboards. There is no way this could have gone unnoticed during the cleaning prior to our check in. After we complained about this to management, someone was sent out to clean the baseboards but the mold was not removed completely. We were promised a dehumidifier would be delivered to help with the moisture problem but it was not. Finally, we were never contacted by management to follow up on our complaints. This is unprofessional and unacceptable.

Beach Construction, Dangerous Railing, Appliances Need Repair

I will not only not return to this property, I will not consider using this rental company again. I was not notified nor considered when the Army Corps' beach sand pumping project came complete with back up horns and noisy, unsightly pipes to directly<br/> in front of the house. This is a long term project, and I was not given any idea as an out of state visitor that I might experience this work. While it seems needed for the beach, I would have gladly chosen another location for my stay in St. Augustine. The<br/> home is in need of some moderate repairs, including a dryer, wiring in the bedroom, and a window that was taped with a band-aid. Some of the needed repairs create hazards. My baby was in danger of falling through missing porch railing, dashing over to the<br/> gap when we first arrived and before i knew of the issue. The window fell out nearly on our heads one evening as I was putting her to bed. My father had to drive to the hardware store to find players which we used to start the dryer for the rest of the week.<br/> Overall, a very poor experience. I recommend this home be removed from the rental market until upgrades are complete.<br/>

FAMILY WEEKEND AT SUNRISE/SUNSET

Loved the location, and for the most part, loved the house. Great house, in need of some repair. Storm door was falling off the jam, screens in poor condition and some holes in walls. The overall cleanliness of the house was not acceptable. Dishes had<br/> to be washed before use, dirt and bugs on windowsills, behind toilets and in the skylight. Sheets and towels were clean and we liked the decor. Great house for a group.Would go back to this house if it was better maintained and cleaned properly.<br/>

Close family tollerates sub-standard enviornment

You need someone who takes maintenence seriously. The clothes dryer start-knob was broken the day we arrived. I called numerous times (Octavio). A Jim Davis came to fix it Monday afternoon, got it to work temporarily and said he would be back later that evening. Never showed. One of my engineer sons took the rear panel off and rigged it to work. We had to start the dryer with a pair of plairs the rest of the week.<br/>Light bulbs missing. Bath rugs dirty - my daughters washed all. Return air duct filthy. Dust on most all electronic units, VCR, etc. Notice regarding garbage pickup should be posted in house. One of my sons spent an hour picking up trash around the house.<br/>My children and grandchildren get along well and they had a good time being together and the view of the ocean was great.<br/>Unfortunately, an issue RentalPros could not do anythng about, was the pumping of sand on the beach - a large pipe running the entire length of the beach, a pumping motor running 24/7, pumping sand, etc. into the water which inhibited swimming and fishing. Noise at night, lights and tractors running - apparently to reclaim the beach? Unfortunate situation.

Sunset Beach house Nightmare

First impression is a lasting impression the house was dirty bathroom and bedrooms bed had hair from previous guest or cleaning staff, tubs dirty floors not clean, balcony still missing slacks, trash cans all 5 full flys and rats running outside, downstairs toilet backed up, gas tank empty had to refill, beach restoration in front of house all 7 days and night working, called property manager sent a guy out to fix some of the issues I could go on and on but it would not help we will not rent from this company next year no comp for me cleaning this house top to bottom before my guest arrived cleaning crew needs to be fired!

The issue is that due to a sand repleneshment project near the house by the Army Corps of Engineer, members of your group wanted major compensation. Our first response to this situation was to drive over and look at it. We did not feel it was a major deal, nor did the owner. It was also something we had no control over. Still, at no extra cost, we offered to move you to a more expensive and large beach front house about 3 miles up the road. We were told you did not want to move, you wanted compensation. We did offer to provide you a 10% discount, and you indicated that was a "slap in your face" and that you wanted a much larger refund. You also then had one of the members of your family who was a lawyer send us a demand letter. At this point, we consider this to be a legal matter and will work through the process. A few maintenance issues

The cottage was very nice but to be on the rental market must have attention to safety issues. The deck is wonderful, but there were many slats along the rallings that were loose, or missing, allowing small children, or dogs the possibiltiy of falling through. The dryer had to be serviced while we were there and the solution was duck tape, with no option to repair the switch until after we had left. There really are not enough dishes,and wine glasses for more than 3-4 people, and you must keep washing. Many of the dishes are not dishwasher safe and have been chipped and cracked. The curtains block a world class view and the roller-blinds no- longer work, will stay down and we had to roll them up by hand to see out. A beautiful week in a beautiful location, and the house is wonderful, except for those issues.

The Perfect Spot!

Our family had a surprise Birthday celebration here recently and this was the perfect spot! The house was beautifuly decorated and accomadated 4 couples and a baby effortlessly. The kitchen was very well-equipped and the veiws from the wrap-a-round porch afforded front row seats for the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean and setting over the Matanzas River. The beach was sandy, pristine, and nearly deserted (in late October) giving us the sense of our own private get-a-way. The bonus 1 bedroom apartment downstairs was perfect for the young child with us who needed to nap away from the fun and games upstairs. I honestly could not imagine a more perfect spot for several families (or one large family) to enjoy God's creation and each other!

1. The dryer takes a long time to dry cloths.<br/>2. The shower head in the bathroom next to the washer/dryer room needs to be replaced; very little water comes out of the shower head.<br/>3. I called in on Sunday (to the housekeeping/maintenance telephone number) that the water filter in the fridge was displaying a red light and needed to be replaced, it never was replaced during our stay.<br/>4. On Tuesday morning, I called in again that all four trash cans downstairs were full and had a foul odor coming from the cans. One can was emptied the next, the other three trash cans remained full during our stay.<br/>5. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom next to the washer/dryer room is not firmly attached and it fell off four or more times.<br/>6. The hurricane shutter outside the front door to the deck (ocean side) has to be held up by the screen door with a chair holding the door open, otherwise the shutter comes down and you cannot open the door to the deck. This was reported to the maintenance man on Sunday; however, it was never corrected during our stay.<br/>7. Both towel bars in the Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs are not secured and have fallen.<br/>8. The screen was missing from the back door screen door.<br/>

The upstairs house was absolutely what we were looking for. We took our German Shepherd this year and we pleased to find this house accepted pets! The house was clean and well taken care of. The location was great because the beach is literally right outside the house. The addition downstairs was wonderful as well. Our daughter stayed there with the dog and her boyfriend, our son, and my husband and I stayed upstairs so the room was great. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was the amount of bugs that crawl in every night downstairs. Otherwise it was very comfortable.

The property was said to be 8 miles from downtown, WRONG, more like 15-20. Refrigerator wasn't working, we had to throw out some food. Toilet was working properly.

Staying in a charming house that had the Atlantic ocean almost in the front yard was a dream come tr

We loved waking up to the beautiful sunrises, making coffee in the open kitchen, and walking/running our pup on the almost deserted beach each morning. The beds were extremely comfortable and the wrap around deck provided a perfect view in every direction. We only had to drive 5 miles for groceries and 5-10 miles for an assortment of stores and restaurants. We were close enough to tour charming, historic St. Augustine, and the oldest Lighthouse. We were also able to reach the manager when we had questions. She was very nice and helpful. We loved being able to bring our pup on this lovely vacation. It was a wonderful and relaxing experience for this family of four, and one that we would enjoy doing again.
