Great place!

Review submitted: November 16, 2012   Date of arrival: September 24, 2012

Great place and close to everything!
I stayed 4 days and Lamont was very nice and has a great vacation spot.
It was 5 min from casinos, 30 seconds away from a nice pub with good food, and had a hot tub on balcony of second floor.
Very clean and cozy with nice amenities, and a good deal.
I am planning on returning as soon as i can get away from work.

Great Weekend

Review submitted: October 8, 2012   Date of arrival: September 21, 2012

We rented from Lamont for a weekend getaway with friends from out of town, the location was perfect. We were walking distance to the water and moments from the casinos. Each day was spent on the lake and nights in the hot tub. I highly recommend Lamont and his rental to anyone interested in a great little getaway. The place was very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was a nice back yard for all of us to hang out in the sun. We had no problems, and will most likely be heading back in the future.

Great Location and Price

Review submitted: August 9, 2012   Date of arrival: July 22, 2012

My wife and I stayed for 6 days and loved the area. Right across the street is an excellent pub with fair prices. We ate there twice, ordered different appetizers and dinners each time and loved every bite. Easy walk down to the beach which was never over crowded. Grocery store also within walking distance. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Perfect setup for two couples to stay in the condo. Bedrooms are seperated for plenty of privacy and the upstairs area is great for meals, TV, Movies, and Hot Tub. Lamont is very easy to work with and very reliable.

Great Vacation

The cottage was very clean. My wife and I stayed for six days. The location was great! There were stores everywhere. The beds were comfy. The owner was repsonded to all calls and email promptly. We had no problems at all on this. It was very much worth the money. We can't wait to go back. Thanks Lamont!

Fantastic!

Review submitted: November 5, 2011   Date of arrival: November 1, 2011

My husband and I just came back today from our stay at this condo. We loved every minute of our stay. The rental was very clean. It just got new carpet, and what looks to be a new sofa and dining table in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, and the beds and bedding were very comfy. We didn't need a huge entertainment budget because we spent a lot of time in the private hot tub on the balcony, overlooking beautiful trees and the lake in the distance. We watched movies on the dvd player, and cooked deliciously unhealthy foods. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and a large grocery store all within walking distance. We can't wait to come back, and at these prices, we will be able to do that.

A Nice Place to Stay

Review submitted: April 26, 2011   Date of arrival: April 20, 2011

This was a cozy place for me and my husband. The condo was clean and well kept. The couch in the living room was a little worn, but everything else was very nice. Right behind the property was a very good pub called MacDuffs. The food was amazing; it was a very pleasant and unexpected perk! Lamont was very responsive with phone calls and emails. We will certainly be staying there again!

No Hot water

Review submitted: April 15, 2011   Date of arrival: September 17, 2010

Review #1425578 No hot water
I arrived at about 4:00pm to the "luxury condo". I sat on the couch and nearly hit the floor, as the couch was so old. We emptied a bag of beer and wine bottles and a full ashtray that had been left on the deck. We also found that the cooking pans looked like they had been on several camping trips - not really suitable for cooking. But here was the best part.. there was no hot water because the water heater was on it's last legs. We tried to re-light the pilot, but it was not possible. There was a pan to catch the water run off under the heater, bull of spaghetti and burnt matches.. I called the owner, who happened to be on a cruise in Hawaii at the time.. He said.. "use the spaghetti to light the pilot.. call my friend, the real owner for help, and I'll refund your money." (I had paid for 3 days in advance with a cleaning deposit).. Long story short.. I found another place to stay at midnight that night.. I moved to it at 8am the next day. I left the condo cleaner that I had found it. A month later I received a partial refund check.. the owner had charged kept the cleaning deposit... really? In subsequent phone calls, I realized that the owner didn't see the situation in quite the same way I did. I thought about small claims court.. but didn't go through with the proceedings because I thought it better to cut my loses after the owner said, "Fine, courts.. I love them.. bring it on and do what you need to do." I would be cautious about renting from this person. He doesn't have a sense of fairness.

Owners response: I told you that I would refund your money because you stated you would be leaving there, and it was assumed that you would be leaving right away, but instead, you spent the night there before you left my rental property, thereby using the bedding, and bathroom facilities, The maids charge a flat rate which I have to pay when someone stays one night , or the three nights. If you had left when you said you were
going to, I would not have had to pay the maid, and you would have received it all. I did not charge you for the night you used the facilities, just for the cleaning.
You used it and it has to be cleaned...;.you didn't clean the sheets, change the bed, clean the toilet or towels, wash the floors or clean the hot tub that must be done for the new arrivals after each tenant has left. The cleaning is not a deposit, it is a fee
that everyone has to pay.

When I talked to you from our cruise ship, I told you that the hot water heater would be replaced by the owner, who told you that you would be reimbursed your money,
but he did not know you were going to spend the night there. He thought you were leaving without staying. A new sofa bed had been ordered, and not yet received before you arrived, and I did feel bad about that. It was to have been put in before your rental date, even though there were only two of you.

Since you did spend one night of which I did NOT charge you for, you were threatening to sue me, and I took exception to it as in reality I was showing good faith
to you for it , but the maid had to be paid. I am sorry you cannot understand my position, and even sorrier that I was not in town when the hot water heater decided to die, even though I did see that it was replaced.
I have never had a bad review before on my properties.

Nice Condo for a getaway snow-boarding weekend

Review submitted: February 17, 2011   Date of arrival: December 17, 2010

We had stayed for the weekend so my kid can go snow-boarding. The condo is perfect for us as my kid can use the downstair bedroom while we are at the upstair bedroom. The family room is cozy and has a sense of being rustic. The condo is very clean and well-kept. The one-car garage actually fits my full-size SUV. It is a nice place for a family of 4 or less. And you cannot beat the price Lamont has.

If I go to snow-boarding again, I will definitely stay at Lamont's condo, if it is available

Perfect location for a family trip to Tahoe

Review submitted: October 4, 2010   Date of arrival: October 1, 2010

My mom, brother and I were looking for a central, inexpensive place to spend a few days in Tahoe and this was a perfect solution! Everything you could want was in walking distance, and it was super easy to find/get to. Both bedrooms and baths have plenty of room and the kitchen was fully equipped. The only thing missing was a dining table but the kitchen counter worked fine and there was a picnic table outside if we'd have been that adventurous. If I go back, I'd stay there again without question and I have already recommended to friends. Great for families, two couples (plenty of privacy with upstairs/downstairs bedrooms/baths)
