vacation rental description
One block to downtown Tahoe City, you can walk to movies on the beach, fireworks, shopping, water sports, the paved bike trail, rafting the Truckee River, and dining. Hiking, biking, and x-country ski trails are right out the front door of your 3-bedroom 2-bath custom home with views of the golf course and the Lake! From your living room couch, watch the sun set behind the mountains and the moon rise over the lake. With no neighbors on 3 sides, this home offers rare privacy for a downtown Tahoe City location.
Set on the hillside, Fairway Views' main floor is up a flight of stairs from the garage. The main floor features the living room, dining area, kitchen, full bathroom, and big wraparound deck. Soak in the views from any room while you gather with your family and friends, or tap into the modern amenities like cable TV, wireless high-speed internet, and stereo with iPod dock. With the open floor plan, people can be cooking, dining, watching TV, and grilling out on the deck, while still being together. The full kitchen offers everything you need to prepare and enjoy your vacation meals together, and the grocery store is just a block away.
The newly-refurnished master bedroom is up half a flight of stairs from the main floor, and has a private half bath. On the upper floor are a full bedroom, and a newly-redecorated bedroom with a full bed and two twin beds. There is also a loft with a sleep-able futon couch, and a full bathroom.
You absolutely can't beat the convenience and location of Fairway Views! Tahoe City is the center of the North Tahoe universe, the junction of the main lake roads and the road to Truckee, the dam at the outlet of Lake Tahoe, and the beginning of the Truckee River (which you can float to Alpine Meadows.) The best skiing in North Lake Tahoe, at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, are within 7 miles, and fabulous skiing at Northstar is just 16 miles away. Kings Beach, Crystal Bay's historic casinos, Sunnyside, Tahoma, and Truckee are all within 12 miles.
Of course you never have to leave Tahoe City or even get in your car to enjoy your vacation: play golf at Tahoe City's historic course, lay on the beach and play in the water at Commons Beach, hike, bike, or ski from the trailhead at your door all the way over the hill to Kings Beach and Truckee if you like, walk your raft down to the Truckee River and float to Alpine, bike the bike trail to Meeks Bay or Squaw, pick up fixings for dinner at the store, or dine out at one of Tahoe City's excellent restaurants. You won't believe your luck! Please note that 4-wheel drive and/or chains may be required in the winter.
