VCRs just waiting for your visit. A new gas BBQ has just been added.
Comletely redecorated in lodge style with plaids and paisleys. T & G
paneling throughout. A true unforgetable mountain experience.
We are a NO pet NO Smoking home!

Three miles to Blue Jay where you will find the theater with first
run movies, Ice Castle Skating Rink and a wonderful variety of
restaurants and shopping.
Lake Arrowhead Village with bands and entertainment every weekend,
discount stores (Izod, Pendleton, Bass, etc) restaurants, ducks for
the children to feed and a carousel is only one mile past Blue Jay.
All you need to bring are your sheets and towels and food and be
ready to sit back and enjoy a fully equipped home with all the
amenities and of course a lovely view. A roaring fire is waiting for
you along with puzzles,games and DVDs for everyone to enjoy!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellation required two weeks prior to reservation date for full refund. After that date, refund based on amount of new rental collected for same time period with all funds collected up to and including your rental amount refunded to you.

Great house but poorly maintained

We had stayed at this house years ago. Booked it for a weekend wedding. House was DIRTY. Cobwebs everywhere! Floors were sticky, bathrooms stunk. They charge a $75. cleaning fee but if you don't vacuum, clean the windows and scrub the kitchen & Bathrooms they will charge you more. place is big, beautiful view, comfy for a family but its filthy. Hasn't been really cleaned in years. Worth the stay if you make sure to let the owner know what isn't clean the moment you get there. (Our mistake)

Owners response: For the past ten years we have prided ourselves in providing our guests a place they can come to, to relax and enjoy all the amenities our 2700 square foot home has to offer. Until now, we have succeeded evidenced by over 200 satisfied guest reservations.

We charge a $75 cleaning fee which is nominal for a house the size of ours. In return, we ask guests to leave the house in good order including vacuuming, sweeping floors, wiping down counters and appliances, etc but not to engage in heavy cleaning. They are informed any cleaning over and above the basic charge will be deducted from their deposit as happened in this case. Withholding of monies for extra cleaning rarely occurs as our guests have enjoyed their stay and are happy with the arrangement.

Unfortunately, in this instance, our guest made the decision to leave the house as is for the cleaning crew and a deduction for extra cleaning was deducted from their deposit for which they are not happy hence their review and claim the house was not clean upon arrival for their three night stay. At no time during their stay were we informed the condition of the house was less than satisfactory. It would have been easy to ask the cleaning crew to rectify any perceived insufficiencies had we been notified since they live nearby.

Perhaps the guest’s e-mail response after receiving the refund of their deposit less extra charges for cleaning sums up the situation best,

“I do not want to spent (d) the last few hours of my vacation cleaning AND paying a fee for the same.”

This comment after realizing a deduction was made from their deposit is in direct contrast to one received days earlier following their rental when they informed us the house key had been mailed,

“Hi _____, We had a great time at the house. Thank you.”

Again, we regret any inconvenience this guest experienced and respect their opinions however ten years of more than satisfied repeat guests and referrals indicates we are doing something right.

As in the past, we will continue to make guest satisfaction our first priority and welcome suggestions from them to improve what we provide.

A Very Satisfied Guest!

We have been so busy since our return that I have not had a chance to contact you and let you know how much we enjoyed our stay! Everyone was extremely surprised at the size and feeling of home as we entered. The pictures online do not compare to the first sight of the living room as you enter the front door. The game room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were all above expectations! Great job! We will definitely keep you in mind as we make this year’s plans and if everyone decides to make Lake Arrowhead the family Christmas getaway you will be contacted first!
