Welcome to Our NEW Coastal Family Escape!

Coastal Escape is not only your destination for peace and tranquility near the beach, it is our home. We absolutely love this area and this house. The property is the bottom half of a duplex and we live separately in the unit upstairs. We have decided to offer the downstairs unit to visitors who want to enjoy the area as much as we do.

The home is newly furnished for our guests with a warm contemporary style displaying travertine floors, marble counter tops and new furnishings. The living area opens up to the beach air with two sets of French doors that allow you to sense the beach community and feel the nice ocean breeze. When the doors are closed, you are in a quiet private setting where you can enjoy peaceful time with your friends and family.  There is a front patio area to barbeque or just sit and people watch during the day.  The living area has ample seating, a gas fire place, a television, DVD player, a selection of movies, direct TV, books to read and crafts for kids.  The home will also have wireless internet for those of you who must work while they play.

The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and will have milk, wine, and some basic cooking essentials ready for your arrival. You will also find a manual that will help you easily navigate COASTAL ESCAPE and the area. We are very kid friendly. There is a high chair, plastic dinnerware and children’s forks, knives and spoons for your little ones. So leave all of the “kid” stuff at home. We have it.  If you need extra, just ask and we can see what we can arrange. Remember, we live a separate home right upstairs so if there is something missing, someone is there to help.

There are 3 bedrooms with all of the essntials, toothpaste, shampoo, soap and conditioner. There will also be a hairdryer available. 

The first level has one full bathroom with a bathtub that is accessible from the living area as well as the first floor bedroom.  The bedroom has a bunk bed and sleeps up to 4 people. There is a dresser as well as a closet for hanging clothes that also houses extra sheets and blankets for those cold blooded individuals. It is here that you will also find some toys to entertain babies and small children.

There are two master bedrooms with full private bathrooms with a shower and tub. At the top of the stairs you will find the first master with a full queen bed. The room has a nice hanging closet as well as a dresser with a television.

The second master bedroom is upstairs and a little farther down the hall. It has a good sized walk in closet, and a king sized bed. The private bathroom has double sinks and a shower with tub and is separated from the toilet by another door. There is also a nice sitting chair in the corner of the bedroom next to the dresser and television. In the closet you will find a blow up mattress in case the little ones like to sleep with their parents. You will also find children’s bath toys under the bathroom sink.

We will insist on a clean and quiet home for your visit. Should you feel that the cleanliness is not up to your standards or the noise level is too high at any time, please let us know and we will promptly address the issue. We want you to be as comfortable at our home as you are at yours.

Obviously the beach is a block and a half away and we assume that is why you came, but besides that, there are so many things to do. In the garage you will find boogie boards, sand toys, bikes, children’s bikes, helmets, balls, racquets, bocce ball and even a double stroller.   You can wake up every morning and go surfing, ride a bike, go for a run/walk on the boardwalk or just sit on the porch and relax. There are also many shops within walking distance where you can buy anything from gifts to surf wear to boutique clothing.

There is a full sized washer and dryer with detergent, a garage with parking for one small car and a spot for one car as large as a medium SUV in the car port. We like to park our car for the weekend and not touch it again until Monday so we enjoy many of the restaurants of all types within walking distance. The Pavillion's shopping center is literally across the street where you will also find Crow Burger, Gina's Pizza, Chipotle, Whimsical Gelato, a Nail Salon and a lot more.

There is no smoking in or around the property. No Pets allowed. The owners lives upstairs and do not tolerate excessive noise or parties.

We have attempted to offer you all of the luxeries of home. If we are missing something that you would like, please send us a message and we will consider it.

First, you will be greeted with a gift basket of wine, a few beach toys, snacks, bottled water and sun block. You will also find a carton of milk in the refridgerator. We have basic spices, coffee and oatmeal for your use.

We have bikes, boogie boards, tennis rackets, smash ball, a soccer ball, basket ball, and volleyball, sand toys, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and beach towels.

We have linens provided as well as a DVD selection, puzzles, games, books, baby/kids toys, a baby swing, a baby bouncer, a baby bath tub, bath toys, and crafts for kids.

We have a grill, magic bullet blender, ice cream maker, coffee maker and  toaster oven.

Besides the beach, there is the Balboa fun zone, the bay, local parks/playgrounds, tennis  courts. You can also find Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, the Aquarium of the Pacific, Pretend City and Legoland within short driving distances.

Coastal Escape rents weekly from Memorial Day until Labor  Day, Saturday to Saturday. Shorter stays may be considered.
