Stogey Brooke Lodge in Ellijay

StogeyBrooke Lodge is a Cartecay River retreat, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, with a 5-person Hot tub over looking the Cartecay River, high speed wireless internet, wood burning fireplace and Dish Network satellite TV. StogeyBrooke Lodge has upgraded the kitchen with new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops and pets are welcome. 

Inside StogeyBrooke Lodge you'll find an abundance of comforts and cozy warm decor. The large wooden dining table can seat 6 to 8 comfortably and the newly remodeled kitchen with its granite counter tops and new appliances with a fully equipped kitchen. The living room houses a 32" TV with VCR/DVD combo and a dozen or so DVD and VHS movies for guest enjoyment. The Queen bedroom on the main floor has a desk for a laptop and access to the rear screened in porch. The main level bathroom has a jacuzzi jet bathtub, granite counter tops and dual vanities, plus the washer and dryer.

Upstairs is a large Master King bedroom with satellite TV, dressers and closet and a twin bedroom overlooking the river. A large loft houses a trundle daybed and a separate TV with XBOX and video games, over a dozen board games and a card table for those game play nights. 

On the rear screened-on porch, 4 large Adirondack rockers and a wooden swing overlook the river below. A cabinet with complimentary river activity supplies is stocked for your convenience and includes 2 fishing poles, tackle, river floats, river shoes, bird seed (for the feeders) and more. On the side deck sits the large 5-person hot tub. There is an outdoor sun garden with bar and gas firepit-table that seats six and propane grill for outdoor grilling while looking at the beautiful flowing river below.

A beautiful sun garden spans one side of the house with an outdoor patio bar, propane gas grill (with spare tank) and a propane gas fire table with 4 swivel chairs. The garden can be accessed through a rear gate that leads to the carport or through the rear screened-in porch. The sun garden overlooks the river below. From the driveway, a wooden boardwalk and steps leads down the embankment to a private riverside dock where you can lounge in the sun or fish or swim in the river. Here, a small fire pit also is accessible and a trail leads along the river from one property to another.

A wooden boardwalk leads straight down to the riverside observation deck. Trout fishing on the Cartecay River is highly touted and river tubing and kayaking is available a short drive up the road. In fact, you can tube right past the lodge!

The driveway and parking area is gravel. The driveway is only slightly pitched, and easily navigable with a 2-wheel drive vehicle. The house itself sits off a quiet gravel road and has a few other cabins within sight through the foliage next door and across the street. During full foliage, the neighboring cabins care hidden through the trees.

StogeyBrooke Lodge is located a few miles from downtown Ellijay on the way to the famous Apple Orchard Alley along Highway 52 East towards Amicalola Falls. StogeyBrooke Lodge is directly adjacent to Baby Bear Bayou (E239), enabling larger parties to be able to rent two side-by-side river cabins.
